Nope, I’ve had really decent service from them also. Had a problem with a mech hanger being cross threaded, dropped the bike into their service centre as it was a month old and they stopped what they were doing and fixed it there and then. I’ve also ordered loads of kit off them in the clearance section of the website (cheap POC stuff mainly) and it all arrived quickly and very well packaged.

Yes they screwed up for a bit with deliveries and wotnot but I’d say that’s firmly in the past now.

Tips? I’m no expert but I’ve had a bit of success recently, so I’d say:

    1. Spruce yourself up befor you go. Nails, nose hair etc.

    2. Be the best version of yourself as much as you can. That means relaxing a bit and helping her relax by seeing that you are chilled. It’s only a date, not an arranged marriage 😉

    3. Be a gentleman. Even if it’s bombing and you have **** all in common, be nice. If she’s a tit, be kind back to her. If she gets shitfaced and wants to shag you put her in a cab.

    4. If it doesn’t work out don’t take it personally. It’s not.

    5. Tidy your place up, change your bedsheets and have protection to hand in case you strike oil 😀

<span style=”color: #444444; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: #eeeeee;”>‘A quick survey of vapers will probably reveal that many gradually have increased their dose over time (obviously those aiming to quit will aim to reduce their dose).’</span>

sorry but that’s bolleaux as our French cousins might say. 😀

every single person I know who vapes/vaped started high and has decreased the nicotine levels. Most of the decent flavours and mixes only really work in the lowest concentrations anyway.

The sneery attitude towards vaping stems mainly from snobbery, and ridiculously narrow minded holier than thou mindset. Vaping is clearly a better option than smoking and has helped numerous people to quit fags and improve their health. It’ll be available on prescription in the next couple of years without question.

Lying on my bed, listening to footie on the radio and contemplating the fact that I have nothing to do for the rest of the day except hang out with my lads, play a bit of psvr and eat cheese on toast as the rain buckets down outside.

Front – a mixture of Victorian, Regency and Elizabethan houses, walls and wobbly rooftops. And the spire of a Cathedral.

Back – a church, a church hall and lots of trees.

You’ve set the bar pretty high OP :D

My two….their latest jape was to creep into my room whilst I was asleep and draw a cock in my forehead. And upload the moment to YouTube…they are 9 & 10.

We had a little ‘chat’ as you might imagine.

‘Anyone else looking forward to being quicker on their bike’

Quitting isn’t a magic bullet to getting fit imo, it’s just the base point.

Thing with smoking was that because I was poisoning myself, I never really had that much motivation to train hard and look after myself properly. After packing it up last spring I’ve thrown myself into training and riding. Could probably have done it when I was smoking but couldn’t be arsed. Seemed a bit pointless. Now…

Poopscoop has it right. I’ve done/felt very similarly in the past and it holds you to a previous version of yourself which isn’t healthy imo.

I’d seriously consider some counselling or something similar to help you put this to bed.

2 best mates and another 2 very good ones. I had a tough second half of 2017 and their support and sacrifice to help me get back on my feet was **** unbelievable and incredibly humbling.

I’ve had a couple proper tinder experiences recently. First one was a nice but crazed French woman who decided to straddle me in a very conservative gastropub and simulate very enthusiasticly what she was going to do once we’d left. This was at around 2pm on a Sunday. Surrounded by folk out for a bit of lunch. Being British of course no-one actually said anything, it did go a bit quiet though

The second was an object lesson in understanding modern abbreviations. All I will say is it’s lucky that I asked the right questions before retiring to my house…now I know what a TV girl is 8O

I’ve got a shoebox sized mid terraced 2 bed from the 1830s. No central heating, just a wall mounted blower in the bathroom and three smallish oil filled rads. It’s bastard cold in the mornings unless I leave them on through the night. Cost about 100 a month this time of year and very little from early spring to autumn.

    Jumpers ftw!

As with some others, I’m anticipating the shortest day and the return (bloody gradually) of the light and warmth.

Could not give a shite about the 25th and all of the nonsense that leads up to it. This year is going to be particularly difficult as it’s the first one for my lads since I left their Mum. Will have to make the best of it. Probably end up going fishing with them on the day (new rods/reels) and off to a Boxing Day football match.

Don’t get me started on New Year’s Eve. :-)

Just over six months for me. Decided to try a vape and haven’t looked back. Still outside with the smokers but feel a hundred times better. Made me re-evaluate a number of other self-destructive habits I’d fallen into as well.

Time with your kids is so precious – you really don’t appreciate that enough at the time

This is very true. I’ve recently separated from my wife and get my two lads for 3 days of the week. The days they stay are the only times I genuinely sleep well. Currently smashing myself at the gym to get through the other days.

Unfortunately my ex-partner doesn’t seem to understand that, although they are only 9 & 10, that the clock is ticking and the days that you get with them are times that will never be repeated – for you or them.

As said about above, Aero leather is where you want to be going. Never mind the rest. In comparison, it’s shit.

They quite often do small runs of cheaper stuff made by aprentices or seconds. Still light years ahead of everything else.

    ebay all the way.

Picked up a genesis caribou jnr a while ago for £185. Upgraded the stem and bars for peanuts (25.4 thomson & Easton carbon monkeylites). Weighs a shade over 23lb and goes up or down anything. 2.4″ creepy crawlers at 6psi are draggy for sure but it’s his go to bike unless he’s bmx racing.

I didn’t own my own mtb until 1999. Was far too poor to buy a bike before that. Relied on borrows and hand me downs. Had a British eagle, some horric grey thing with a massive dent and bend in the seat tube and a full camo unbranded bmx!

Mind you, when I could finally afford a bike I did it properly.

    1999 kona explosif. Boom.

I gave up road riding for exactly the same reasons. It seemed like every single time I went out someone would do something stupid/reckless/deliberate. The day I decided to knock it on the head I was run off the road on the brow of a blind summit by a f&@king driving instructor!! Enough was enough.

BMX racing and MTB for me now. I fall off and mangle myself frequently but it’s my fault!

    :D

In the middle of a house move at the moment but once I’m settled I’ll check through my spares box. Got a few bars, stems, saddles, grips etc knocking around.
