    Zen here too.
As everyone else has said; expensive but you get the service you pay for.
    Would recommend 10/10.

Went in about 4 months ago, and had a very interesting chat about a custom build road bike. They seemed very keen and were going to mail me a quote.
    It never came!
As a result I spent my money elsewhere.
    Not impressed.

Sorry can’y help you re the RV, but have done a lot of driving in the area.
The actual distance between the two isn’t great and is easily achievable in a couple of days.
However I suggest you have a couple of options.
The first is to drive directly south i.e. to the east of the Colorado river taking in Bryce and Zion Nat Parks.
The alternative is to come south then take the route of the I70 to the West, you can then include, Canyonlands and Arches whilst staying in or around Moab. All are within short distances of each other and each in its own way is truly awesome. Moab is also the place where you can hire the most exotic of bikes for either a day or part of.
Heading south take in Monument Valley, if you can arrange it, be there for the sunset. You’ll never see anything more beautiful as the sun highlighting the buttes. If you’ve time from MV divert to Paige and go to Antelope canyon. A small slot canyon in the desert. You’ve no option but to get a native guide. It will be busy but worth it.
From there considering you’re heading to LV consider the South Rim of the Canyon. Again sunset and sunrise are the moment to be there; but if you’ve never been before then you’ll find it draw dropping.
Finally the route back to Vegas should be done by the old route 66. Its not as busy as the Interstate and there’s loads of history to see.
    Enjoy, I’m envious!

Just done it. No issues at all. Just take your time going through all the forms.
I swore the oath at the Probate Office. Took no longer than a minute.
Once submitted, it only took a few weeks and we had Probate granted.
It was obviously a sad time, but made happier with the knowledge that we’d saved a shed load of money by not using a solicitor.

Have been a few times. I actually quite enjoy it. Neither of us gamble, but we find it a great place to people watch, do a bit of wandering through the spectacular hotels, have a nice room and find good food.
I know its not to everyones taste but we use it as a hub. You can get direct flights from Manchester. Spend 48hrs in Vegas then drive off and leave all the hullabaloo behind. Flights are often cheaper and easier than having to do lay overs in some miserable east coast airport.
Over several trips we’ve spent time exploring, camping and cycling in California, Arizona and Utah before looping round and returning to Vegas.

Cynic-Al. I don’t know if I have an alternative. Though apparently this is the sum used to administer the process. (The Independent).
I was more commenting on the huge cost of the process.
Perhaps we should pay twice as much to get rid of the current incumbents!

Dust on the sensor. You’ll struggle to get rid of it yourself.
http://www.hlehmann.co.uk have done cleaning jobs for me, and have always provided a good service.
Obviously its going to cost you and does it outweigh the cost of a new camera?
Either that or shoot at the fastest shutter speed and the widest aperture you can and they’ll probably disappear!
If not, then its time to buy the Leica you always wanted!

St James. Not particularly cheap, but cheaper then some, very swish!
We’ve stayed a couple of times, for a city hotel its absolutely silent at night.
Short walk to Champs Elysees and Eiffel Tower.
Has the added advantage that if you have the need, free parking.

I had about 20 posts to put in and used one of these

    http://www.screwfix.com/p/roughneck-spiral-post-hole-auger-6/56144?cm_sp=Search-_-SearchRec-_-Area1&_requestid=195493

It was brilliant, and has been used many times by a number of friends. Cheaper and far easier to use than a power borer.

It does struggle with big stones, but normal stuff just comes up with the soil.

Naim UnitiQute2, use your existing speakers. They’ll certainly sound better than any Sonos system.

Join Talkphotography.co.uk and look at the classifieds pages. You may have to wait, but you’ll eventually find what you’re after; a lens or camera that has been looked after by someone who is interested in photography and their equipment. `I’ve bought and sold on the site and have always been impressed.

Not a ‘Buff’ but a merino wool neck tube. Same design different material. Was brilliant the other week when it was so cold. Covered my mouth, nose and tucked into my running top, there were no problems breathing and it made the air I inhaled warmer. Obviously it got very wet, and I’d worry that if it were seriously cold then it would freeze. but all in all no issues.

55 yrs old. Run 5 miles 5 days a week each morning. Cycle 20 miles 5 days a week each afternoon.
Yes, I have aches and pains and carrying a bit of weight as I do like my food; but probably no worse than I was 15 years ago.
I’d say stop moaning, and get on with it!!!!

Just bought and set up today a Naim UnitiQute system.
Was looking at a Naim MuSo but with buying the Qute it enabled me to utilise my existing Quad speakers.
    Awesome sound.

GC is about a 4.5 hr drive from Vegas. Slightly longer if you go via the old Route 66. The plus is you also go via the Hoover Dam.
There are a couple of access points to the rim, but the main one is run by the National Park Service and is accessed via the 180 from near Flagstaff.
You can stay in one of the accommodations on the rim edge. They’re expensive; but considering they’re only yards from the rim and you can watch the spectacular sunrises / sunsets. I think if you’ve limited time then the investment is probably worth it.
Car hire from LV is cheap & easy.
I think for the cost of a helicopter flight you could probably pay for the car and the accommodation and then have more time to explore the South Rim.
    Enjoy.

Have been to Moab a few times and travelled there by various flight routes.
One of the easiest ways to get there especially from Manchester is to fly Virgin direct to Vegas and drive, taking in the Grand Canyon and loads of other sights.
We’ve stayed in several places but would highly recommend the Gonzo Inn. Its off the main drag, reasonable price and has a pool.
There’s loads and loads of riding, (as you probably know). But I’d question the hassle of taking my own bike. There’s half a dozen bike shops hiring out anything from a bog standard MTB through to Titanium exotica. Save yourself the trouble and get one out there.
Once you’ve done Moab, you can make a circuit and drive back to Vegas via Bryce, Zion etc.. Suppose it depends on how much time you’ve got

Not posted on here, more of an observer.
Yes, I also have an HH and you have my every sympathy. Heartburn, chest pain, feelings of something stuck in the gullet and feeling fairly crap are part of daily life.
I’ve recently taken to omeprazole in the morning and evening. Trying not to eat after early evening and no alcohol. By doing this, I allow my stomach to digest the food before bed time and thus reduce the chance of night time heatburn.
Previous episodes have lasted for months then I feel fine. Am 3 months into this episode and hope it finishes soon!
Spoke to my GP re surgery and he suggested it wasn’t much fun having the op with no guarantee of success. He went on to say that he actually wouldn’t allow me to have it.
Obviously you may be very different.
As I say you have my sympathies, good luck with any decision you may make.

Am new to this site, though I’ve been ‘observing’ for ages.
If I could strongly recommend the F-Stop range as the ideal camera bag.
Depending on the size you want, they make from very small, to fit a point and shoot. To a huge sack that will take masses of pro gear.
I have a Loka with medium ICU and have to say not only is it the best camera bag I’ve ever owned, but also the best made rucksack I’ve ever owned.
They’re not cheap, intact verging on very expensive, but believe me they are better than anything else I’ve looked at
You can import them from America, I was fortunate and got mine mailed to a hotel whilst on holiday. I think you can also get them mailed from Europe somewhere.
