Endura also got back to me. They warrantied my Single-track one piece and offered to fix the zip on my gilet for a small amount, can’t fault that.

Facebook got me a quicker response than email

Here’s mine, to be fair there is not much original on it because I wanted frame only but that’s not an option, worked out cheaper than a Chisel, the frames were a grand at the time but I think you can pick up the full bike for that now.  I paid a grand for this in Deore spec but it was nearer 30lb.

SIDs are Select 120mm (35mm stanchion) dropped to 100mm

I bought an alloy one for a cheap XC race bike. I wanted a Chisel but the frame cost more than I paid for the BMC full Deore build. I put the drivetrain onto my winter hack and sold the wheels and fork. Its now 25lb and good enough for me as a mid pack XCer. It’s slack enough to be fun on the downs and fast everywhere else. I love it and the alloy frame is all standard fittings.

Will post pics when I’m not on mobile

Unusable on my LGTV, the only app on the TV which is like it. Just bought a Chromecast which is much better and has allowed me to ditch the TV remote

Anyone on here had any success with this service from Endura?

I’ve emailed them twice with no reply. I’m sick of Endura zips failing, most recently on my expensive Single-track onesie which has not lasted long at all.

At this rate I’ll never buy an Endura product again which is annoying as they are UK based and aside from the zips I like their gear

I had Fillmore with Cash Core and it didn’t work well at all, ended up removing and replacing with the Cush Core valves.

They say they are insert compatible but I’d say that’s BS as the insert pushes on the valve and makes it near impossible to get air in with a hand pump, it was hard enough with a track pump. You can try to line them up with some of the slots in the inserts but didn’t work well for me.

Shame as the Fillmore are great without inserts

Yes, possible to upgrade you just need https://www.bikeparts.co.uk/products/fox-fork-36-38-15qr-hardware-service-set (and the axle).

I’ve done it twice on a hardtail, totally fine. Biggest issue is pinch flats. The first time I did it was fine, second time I went too low with the pressure and destroyed the rim even with inserts, DNF.

It’s a mint course, properly tech where you can get even with the super fit but low skill riders

Another though would be a carry bag or desksaver (dust cover) but you’d need to know the exact model for the right fit.

Or an online DJ course from Crossfader https://wearecrossfader.co.uk/

To be fair to Evans they responded to my email with a couple of days and were helpful. I did have get that email address from Twitter search rather than the website though.

They could only cancel my order so I ended up missing out this time round

Got in on this PSA but made a mistake with my address. Then got stuck in the feedback loop that is trying to change it through website help and support.

Literally seems like there is no way to cancel or amend an order, I guess that’s what happens when you buy from a parasitical cretin like Mike.

Not as far as I’m aware, just wanted it back, she’s ordered one from somewhere else now

It’s a 36 Rhythm instead of a 34 Rhythm. The tyres and everything else have clearly never been out of the box, but the fork has definitely been ridden. It was discounted like any other previous year bike, no mention of shop soiled let alone trail soiled

I have one. Feels like a gimmick but I use it all the time in the home gym. Gives me added motivation as you can directly correlate it to riding the bike.

The app is a gimmick so don’t bother with that!

It’s good for unstable plank as well as press ups

Pfizer yesterday afternoon, aged 41. Sore arm and mild headache but otherwise fine. Had crazy dreams last night though!

It certainly doesn’t feel as long as the reach suggests. I’ve got the ‘medium’ and at 174cm it feels just about right but I probably could have ridden the longest one.

If I was 6ft I’d definitely get the longest.

The adjustable back end means you can run the wheelbase shorter for a more nimble ride

Sweet, cheers. That’s a great idea, the whole reason I got the Crockett was to double up as a winter bike and cross bike and this makes removing the bottle cage for racing one less faff!

That was brutal, tried going for the sprints but was smoked after the leg snapper. Then made a school boy error going for the last sprint like it was the finish. Good group with everyone pulling, cheers for organising Robbo!

6.5lbs (2.95kg) was with dropouts etc, not including headset and seatpost clamp. I built it up with a SID which is super light, but for winter an NX/SX drivetrain which weighs a tonne. In summer I’ll maybe put a lighter groupset on but it’s never going to be that light, it’s steel after all. I bought it as an all-rounder that could do the odd XC event, so not too bothered by the weight. I don’t notice it.

Overall I’m loving the bike, super comfortable compared to the BFe but that’s not a direct comparison, not ridden a SolarisMAX or Sherpa to compare. My GF has an ally NS Bikes Eccentric Evo 29 and noticeably more compliant than that. The short backend makes it feel smaller than a 29er and better in the tight stuff than I expected.

The SID is a great fork, but I do sometimes think a 120mm Pike would suit the frame better as it’s so capable due to the geometry.

The Chameleon dropouts are all adjustable so you don’t need the 142mm SS specific dropouts, but depends on whether you have a dedicated single speed wheel or whether you just run your existing boost wheel with a SS convertor kit. You can then just tension the chain and have an empty mech hanger

There’s a Chameleon frame in the classifieds that I’m selling, ridden once though so price reflects that, as well as that they are impossible to find new.

It’s hard to say on the geo, website could be more clear. Cotic have this spot on in my view, they tell you that the measurements are sagged (which makes sense with a hardtail) and you can toggle the travel to see what the difference is with each fork.

I wanted a 29er hardtail to replace my 650b BFe, which up until the Sirius was the best hardtail I’d owned. The BFe was the hardtail equivalent of my enduro bike, pretty much same geometry and parts which was good for crossover, but I wanted something that I could do the odd XC/endurance type event on and 29 makes sense for this. I still wanted something slack enough for the steeps so I was set on a SolarisMAX but was put off my the long chainstays and tank like ride reports on the forums. I then started looking at the Sherpa but when the Sirius popped up the geo looked exactly what I was looking for. Added bonus of being able to tune the chainstay to tyre size and also run singlespeed. I ran it at 430mm chainstay which with a 2.3 Maxxis Aggressor gave sufficient tyre clearance with no rub on a 23mm rim.

The fit for me at 173cm was spot on, pedals nice with the steep seat tube angle, I ran with a 40mm stem, could maybe go to 50mm. The front end is fairly low but with 20mm rise bars was OK, I could maybe go to 30mm rise, I was a little over zealous with the steerer tube cut. It looks and feels slack when you sit on it, but when I rode it I felt right at home coming off the BFe. It’s my first 29er so that needs to be factored in, but it was a super smooth ride. I took it to Gisburn for some hardpack and it was the first time I’d ridden there on a hardtail where I didn’t want to quit mountain biking afterwords. There are some fun bits, but a lot of it is a rough old slog. It was great in the swoopy stuff, felt like a 29er when it needed to be but was super nimble in the tight trees which I was surprised by. I built it up with a mix of parts off the BFe, some WTB i23 on Hope wheels I picked up cheap from Stif and a winter throwaway SX drivetrain which weighs a tonne. I swear that cassette is like 2lbs. Its built to survive a Yorkshire winter but could be lightened up. The SID is amazing, didn’t feel the need for any more travel, but there are probably stiffer options out there.

Anyway, I love the bike, looks sweet and have a new chainstay protector in the post :-)

The geometry is pretty wild, I’ll be running a SID 120 (35mm), will post full build pics and ride report later.

Using the geo calculator, and website geometry being based on a 485mm a2c fork, the SID (531mm a2c) comes in at 63° HA unsagged and 64° sagged at 20%! That’s 2 degrees slacker than the 140mm travel 2017 BFe 650b it’s replacing.

Mine arrived yesterday, long silver fox. The frame is a work of art, lovely paint and looks mint without the gussets. Frame with all the hardware comes in at around 6.5lbs.

The geometry is based on 485mm a2c fork, probably explains it. Their CrMo fork option is around that length but most 120mm suspension forks will be longer.

That info is hidden in the FAQ section, probably should be on the geometry table to be clear.

Can’t comment on 46mm, but picked up a set of 51mm Pikes for a 29er (NS Eccentric Alu Evo) and I found the stem length affected the steering. 35mm felt weird, vague, and flip-floppy especially at low speeds. 50mm feels spot on, more ‘direct’.

I bought both and theres not much in it but do race CX on the 35mm as a bit more grip.

Also doing the 3 peaks but after a few training rides on similar ground theres no way I’ll be running them. For me they are too lightweight and better suited for CX racing, every time I took them on rough ground I flatted and was running 65-70 psi.

Bought some 35mm gravel tyres instead, heavier but tougher and a nice halfway between cx race tyres and land cruisers. Still worried about flats though!

Had one before I got the new longshot 27.5.

Best geometry of any 26 inch frame out there and a great ride, but no match for the new longshot.

My mate has an Enduro, he goes though Monarch’s every 3-6 months.

I bought a Monarch from TF Tuned for my Last Coal 3 years ago and its never missed a beat.

Easier said than done, but I don’t think it’s the shock you need to replace.

Anyone got a link to the eBay stainless replacements?

I had exactly same experience as the OP.
