There’s some really fun lines not too far from the gruffalo trail, well worth a play on.
If you have a look on an OSMAP, look out for whitecliffe rigg. Head past the entrance to gruffalo trail from visitor centre, turn left up a fireroad then whitecliffe is another fireroad going off to the right (with a sign). Follow the climb up around a left hand corner and it straightens out and gets a bit steeper.
There is an entrance to the right half way up this final climb, or carry on until it levels out at a truck turning point.
There are 3 trails to your left starting in the same entrance, or there is another entrance on the right hand side, this starts heading back downhill but around 10-15m in is another trail heading off to the right.
If you carry on past the truck turning point by 50m or so there is another trail off to the left (although the entrance is quite concealed).

Raincliffe woods has some nice trails just outside Scarborough.
Fairly steep and tech in places.

Wykeham has a nice downhill line with a few drops / jumps.

Dalby has some nice trails, but the full red loop is long. Theres lots of off piste but would be tricky to find without knowing the area.

Lots over the NY moors if you fancy a natural ride too.

You can buy xbox live membership through amazon. They’ll probably just send a code.

Can you check when your lads xbox live membership runs out? Or did you buy it for him last year and it’s being automatically renewed?

Somebody was airlifted from stage 3 on the Sunday last year with chest and abdominal injuries.
He was in critical condition from what the local press story said.

Just find out the tyre size, wheel stud pattern, wheel offset and stick them on ebay.

Nice vans. I’ve got a mk4 SWB and removed the bulkhead for extra legroom and so I can lay out in the back (I’m 6’2). I’ve also carpetted it out to reduce the noise which helps a lot.

Bikes fit in fine with the front wheel on an angle.

This is what the next guy I used to build a wheel mentioned when I took it in. Something to do with the spokes been under compression when they should be under tension?

    Who built the wheel?

I had a guy in York build one up for me and he laced up the spokes in the wrong direction…

Fell off yesterday morning on my way into work. Hit ice and lost front wheel, skidded along an icy cycle path on my back. Luckily it was smooth so no real damage other than a hole in my thermals.

Then on the way home snapped my chain and had to get a mate to pick me up and take me home (I leant him my last quick link on a MTB ride a few weeks back) :(

You can buy fibreglass repair kits if you want to do it on the cheap. You’ll need to cut away any rust patches, usually on Fords its the inner arch skin that perishes first and it spreads to the outer skin.

You could go all Ray Mears and lay some soil/sand out on the area and see what prints you can find in the morning :-)

Feel sorry for the buyer tbh, he seems genuine. He hasn’t really got a ‘steal’ price on the bike. It needs alot of work to get it back in decent condition.
The spec isn’t really that great other than the frame. How much would a similarly specced decent bike sell for, £350?

Can police contact facebook to track down the old messages between buyer and seller?

Yeah there is an unofficial group ride every Tuesday evening, sets off at 6:30pm from the visitor centre car park.

Newbies are always welcome so pop along and join onto one of the groups.

I’ll be there more often when the weather picks up a bit :)

The carbon lite’s are 740mm wide, if you want 780mm (assuming that’s what your fatbars are) you want the fatbar carbon.

Well it seems to have fixed itself for now. I’ve had the phone 2 years now so can’t really complain.
My screen has also started flickering intermittently so have a feeling it’s probably time for a new phone soon…

Check your settings – if you’re set up for 4G but you’re in an area of only 3G coverage

Didn’t realise you could do that! My internet works fine through 4G so assume this is a separate issue?

It has been dropped a fair amount, but not in the last couple of days that I remember.

It’s happening from work / home but they are only within 5 miles of eachother.

I should have added, outgoing calls seem ok. I just can’t receive them :?

A couple of us went up Pyg track in March this year. At the top it was windy as hell and white out conditions. Ended up taking the wrong route back down and had to get a taxi back to the car park from Llanberis

You can angle your pedals in a sort of cradle, with your leading foot toe-up and your rear foot toe-down. This allows you to push against each pedal for either a little extra security or to move the bike with your feet. If that makes sense?

    jairaj – Member
Thats not the technique that I was taught or found it works for me. Both heels down is what I use

Try scooping your back wheel up with dropped heels…

You only rock your back toe down to lift the back wheel up. Heels down the rest of the time to keep planted going through rough stuff.

    Great news :)

I only heard about middleton woods recently but the two main trails are brilliant. Looks like there’s a few overgrown / old trails that could do with some maintainance. I’ve been meaning to bring some tools down one day and do a bit of clearing…
