I remember a few XC bits on the other side of the train track just after the freeride park. Nohing particularly exciting though.

I wouldn’t have thought it would matter too much in mtb. I think I pull on the bars (pedalling standing up, lifting front end up) as I do pushing on the bars through pumping and landing jumps.

If you do think there’s an imbalance, I think seated rows would be better than pull ups.

Not often, maybe 3-4 rides a year on bridleways (lakes/moors/dales).
Once a year I might try and see how fast I can do a loop of Dalby red non stop.
Most riding now is usually messing about in local(ish) woods, pootle up, chat, and go for it on the downs.

True craigxxl but for £10 I was happy to risk it. It’s not the end of the world.

but willing to start an *avoid* thread?

Er, yeah. More of a warning to anyone else that may have been offered some parts from him. Not sure what the problem is?

I don’t think he was trying to scam me, I said to just refund £5 since it sounded like it got lost in the post.
He kept saying no it wasn’t my fault and he would refund the full amount.

After all the excuses I’m not sure he sent them out in the first place.

I don’t really want to get his mate involved over £10.

Managed to get some adaptors elsewhere in the end!

I mentioned shock bush as mine seems to need a strip and grease every few months (SC frame), otherwise I get the same creak as you described.

    Shock bush needs a grease?

Although I still wouldn’t trust the weight of bikes on the plasterboard wall.
Can you mount the hangers onto the studwork?

Just spent the last 3 weeks camping and sleeping on one of these. It’s a bit bulky packed away compared to the 15mm thick mats but it is really comfy.

Don’t blow anymore air in to inflate hard. I find letting a little out after self inflating is best.

Miggy woods already has a couple of nice trails and a jump line. I hope they don’t get rid of these with the new trails they are building.

I’ve never had any trouble there but probably wouldn’t ride a posh bike on my own.

When MOTs do a diesel smoke test the engine isn’t under load, so it’s fairly easy to pass a car that spews black smoke out of the exhaust while driving.

Thanks, the bush hook looks perfect! Will get one ordered.

All my tools are electric although I may be able to borrow a petrol brush cutter.
I’ll be doing this on evenings so noise may be a bit of an issue though.

Would you normally put some weedkiller down once it’s cleared to kill the roots?

Have you tried the freerider pro? I’m only a couple of rides in but feel stiffer than the normal freeriders.

Fox Demo FR are fairly slim fitting if the gold badge isn’t too blingy for you.

Buy something second hand to see how you get on with MTB? Should be able to sell without losing too much, and you’ll have a better idea of what type of bike suits your riding.

Will we have a winner on a short travel FS or hardtail?

Ouch! The push up track is about 1m away from the trail there to.

I had to tap my bronson v1 in the same area, fortunately its been ok since.

Seen the same thing on a few SC frames.

I may be interested in the knackered shock if you wanted to sell and it was no use to you.

    Cheers for the advice.

I’ve booked them in with J-tech for next week. Would have a go myself but want to get back out riding asap.

I’ve tried pulling up but doesn’t seem to want to budge, cleaning port didn’t make a difference either.

devash – sounds like a plan

I couldn’t see any scratches to the air shaft or tube in the stanchion.

They are due a service so think I’ll send them off and see what they say.

I’m the second owner so can’t return under warranty unfortunately.

Yeah they felt good for a short while so think it is an inbalance in the chambers. If the port is clean is it likely to be a problem with the air shaft itself?

Is the shock packing down with the repeated hits? Could try speeding rebound up a bit?

    Whats the sag %?

Email on it’s way. If you can get some more heights at regular intervals you should be able to get it a little more accurate :)

    I cheated with CAD 8)
It does assume the arc has the same radius along the full length though.

You could do the same on paper, draw a line 480mm, then another from the centre 106mm (wall height). Use a pair of compasses to draw the arc and overlay it with a piece of string.

    yorkshire89

The length of the arc is 54.017m, giving you an area of 1242.3sqm (i think :P )
