The videos I followed were ‘infinate skills – learning autodesk revit architecture 2013’.
We had a DVD but you may be able to find all the videos online – propbably a newer version too.

You’ll also want to find a set of videos on creating/modelling families.

I followed some exercise training videos and got my head round it in a couple of weeks, but it took another 6 months using it every day to get upto speed with it to a decent standard.

It totally depends on the person though, we have some people experienced CAD techs who never really got the grasp of it. It’s quite different to AutoCAD.

WRX’s aren’t all that fast. For a weekend car I’d be looking for a PPP STI (~305bhp).

Even so, once rolling they aren’t that much faster than a Civic type R or similar.

Off the line is another story!

Did they offer the prodrive exhaust from factory on these? I had a blobeye STI that came fitted from factory but wasn’t sure they were available on the WRX.

They are very thirsty, laggy and feel a bit agricultural to drive. I hated driving mine in traffic but if it’s just a weekend car that shouldn’t matter.

If you’re not keen on the red there are loads of fun off piste runs dotted about.

I’m not too keen on the new route through the woods. It doesn’t flow well if you’re going down it at speed.

They’ve also replaced the original jumpy line that was there before (and made it worse), and it crosses an old trail which is now going to be dangerous to ride because you can’t see the new track crossing it until you’re on it…

Mavic Air is dead easy to fly. I would get their insurance on it though, seen one taken out by a bird within 15 seconds of taking off.

The sensors underneath (to stop it crashing) also struggle with water so probably worth attaching some sort of buoyancy aid for fishing it back out if you dunk it.

If anyone else has a code they could lend out I’m interested :)

Shock bolts are 35 and 42mm according to SC diagram. I assume you’ll want one with a thread on the end only for where it contacts the shock bushing?

    Pedalcover?

Not particularly cheap but seems good cover for bikes at home and in the vehicle when I’m away.

There’s a good thread on Pistonheads with most of the latest deals. You’ll find links to all the usual websites to try

Not been to Pila but may be doing a few days there this year. A friend mentioned there is a pricey toll road to get there from Morzine (~70 euros), is this true?

Metabief is worth a day trip out if the weather looks better there.

Changed to vodafone a few months ago. I wasn’t an existing mobile customer but they offered me the lower price of £20/month for 38MB fibre.

They failed to notify my previous supplier so I’ve been paying 2 fee’s. Phoned up and they have agreed to credit my account for the overcharges.

<span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>For some reason I can’t seem to set up an online account without a Vodafone mobile number and the girl on the phone couldn’t help so if I need anything I just have to call them up. They seem to answer fairly quickly atleast.</span>

There was also some confusion about whether they needed to send out an Engineer or not to switch my line over.

They don’t seem too professional to be honest but I’ve had no connection issues since switching.

Best thing to do is get someone to film you and watch it back. It took me a while to get the front end lifting properly.

When you get it right you get much more height on take off.

Focus more on driving with the legs. The pull is more of a rocking back motion like a manual.

    yorkshire89

Because it stops your front end dropping after taking off the lip, giving you more height.

Nice one OP, keep at it. Try and pump early into the ramp and pull on the bars while pushing through with your feet (similar to a manual) and you’ll get even higher/further.

OP, could you have done anything differently to avoid the crash? This is all I would be asking myself if I was you.

She pulls out without looking. Did you slam on, start scrubbing off some speed off here or continue at your pace assuming that she would be out of your way before you got past the side road?

Slamming her brakes on after seeing you was a silly thing to do obviously.

Undo rotationally. Once loosened it slides out easily but it sounds dry and cracks like mad while I’m red in the face trying to get it undone!

It feels totally normal and is quiet while I’m tightening it back up.

I’ve seen a few people mention about them coming undone, not had that issue in ~3 years of running it.

I’m more worried that I’m not going to be able to get it out at some point.

May have to go for the maxle option, but £40 seems painful for what it is…

Did she stop while pulling out of the junction not giving you time to stop?

If she had exited and was moving along the road before she stopped then it could be tricky claiming it’s her fault.

First time at CYB on Sat, rode Dragons back and loved the rockyness! It’s a nice change from the hardpack flowy stuff you find at most trail centre’s.

Rode Penmachno Monday and couldn’t believe how wet it was. Loop 2 seemed to be riding through a river for most of it. Still really enjoyed the loop 1 descents, but wouldn’t bother with loop 2.

Is that another small crack above the spoke on the right?

Looks like there’s a flat spot in that area so probably taken a decent whack.

New cassette, chain and chainring time.

Get a chain checker so you know when to replace it before it knackers the cassette.

Can’t you just import the raw data as a point cloud, then model up the radius/planes yourself by eye?

Is it not fairly simple to model something in CAD from the points you get from the 3D scan?

I do this in Revit for outdoor laser scans and it’s fairly accurate. Would have thought the small 3D scanners would be even better?

its a red trail and designated downhill course

Swinley red is one of the tamest red trails in the country, and one of the busiest.
You’ve got to expect some inexperienced people and be aware they might be blocking a trail.

Not heard of that but you can easily pop the drivers door lock which will unlock the back doors. Friend has his work van done this way last week.

I’ve got a caddy. Do like the transit connect but seeing how easily they get broken into put me off…

Yeah but the qualifiers don’t really mean anything. Escort has a 1ft step qualifier you can roll off.
Even 50 shades has a very small gap quali then a couple of much bigger drops (6-7ft) further down the trail.

I rode it for the first time at the weekend, there was one corner where the guy in front of me came off on the roots and mud. It was slick and really hard to even walk down in those conditions.

It’s a really short trail with a couple of tricky corners, it’s not really that steep. It would be fairly easy in the dry.

Either ebay it, or buy a reconditioned gearbox (if manual).

Is it possible to get some reclaimed bricks to match the rest and replace the outer skin?
I think it would look better than render personally.

    Yeah but £79k…

Yeah I didn’t see the price until I posted. Seems cheap but no idea of house prices in the area.

The blocked up door to the rear looks a mess and would probably put me off…
