Have a look on northern downhill, they do a few Enduro’s although a bit more DH orientated.

‘Ard rock enduro is on in Swaledale on the 3rd August, any places left there?

It’s a diesel, chances are if you give the oil another change a day later it would still be as black, don’t worry about it 8)

There should be a new set of pikes waiting for me when I get in, excited! 8)

I thought it was the cyclist flying through the air until you see him lying on the ground in the slow mo. Still pretty scary! 8O

Pencil eraser is good for getting polish off, then wipe the rubber residue off.

No idea weeksy, I thought the new type shimano’s were sealed too (the ones where the syringe screws onto the resevoir)?

They came on a new bike so haven’t been bled with part worn pads, I had to let some fluid out after the first set of pads wore out.

I’ll check and see if a decent screwdriver will push the pistons back, if not I’ll give them a full bleed and see if that sorts it. Cheers.

Northwind, they haven’t been bled from new as far as I’m aware, unless the bike shop bled them (they came on a new bike). Could it be possible that there was too much brake fluid in, which wouldn’t allow the bladder to expand? I thought this might improve after letting fluid out when I did the first pad swap.

I’ll crack out the massive screwdriver and see if that helps!

I’ve always thought the opposite to be honest, the shimano’s have a feather light lever pull but they seem to be on or off, where as these are more draggy but I prefer the feel.

Can’t be doing with the faff everytime I change the pads though :x

Daniel mine are the same, You can sometimes push the pistons back enough to get the wheel on, but then the brakes are dragging constantly.

Its a shame, I really like the feel of the brakes when they are working.

The shimano’s I’ve used previously have always been faultless.

So you have to let fluid out everytime you change the pads, and re-bleed them?

    yorkshire89

Yeah, usually I would just push them out with the old pads in using a butter knife, but these pistons hardly budge at all.

Yep, I just put them in a billy can and cover with water. I quite like the taste of them, reminds me of school meals (it probably helps if you’re hungry)…

I’ve been using an iphone 4 until now but the GPS is pretty dodgy when you are in the woods (compared to a garmin).

Has anybody used one of these i-gotU gps trackers?

I thought performance was the cheap hard compound?

    Going from soft to hard…
    Vertstar>Trailstair>Pacestar>Performance?

Basically ‘death on wet roots / rocks’ compound. I think its a harder compound than the pacestar.

There was a facebook message from them saying you need to walk stage 2 because there are drops, but there is a chicken run.

How big is the drop? Seen the photo of the double jump on google images but no drop.
