POCs look good but waaay out of my budget unfortunately!

The 661 bombers look good, but it looks like they’ve been replaced with 661 ‘Sub’shorts and I’m not too sure if they come with a chamois.

Weeksy, not looking for anything substantial, just some thin foam should help for most falls. Those shorts look terrible though :(

Think I’ll go for these, it’s the only pair I’ve seen which mention having a chamois.

    Cheers for the advice :-)

Cheers, those kooga shorts look almost perfect. Is there anything cycling specific with seat padding too?

    €300, and a bib :o

I’m looking for MTB baggy shorts ideally, or liners.

Heavy, feel cheap, smell funny. The waist clip was mounted too far away from the centre strap so it wouldn’t clip together. I wouldn’t bother…

Wash in the sink full of warm water, quick squeeze to get most of the water out, fill with newspaper and leave them somewhere warm for a couple of days.

Buy two pairs so you don’t put soggy ones back on :)

Even if you pay monthly, they will still charge you to change cars won’t they?
Is the new car a much higher insurance group?

I always pay annually because it works out 40-50% cheaper that way.

Expect a few drops with optional chicken runs, but most of the stages are similar to red/black trail centre sections.

The parts I found most difficult were muddy churned up sections after a bit of rain and 300 or so riders practising all morning.

You don’t have to do the full series, you just won’t get an overall placing (I’m only doing both Gisburns, and possibly Lee Quarry).

I think all the female’s are just in the same Category?

I’ve only used trailstar on the front (hans dampf) but was very happy with wear rate, and had much more confidence on wet stuff after pacestar.

I’ve heard a few on here have have problems with them as a rear tyre with side knobs coming off on rocky terrain though…

Pacestar compound is awful on wet rocks and roots, so would probably go for a trailstar as a happy medium.
I think you’d get through a gatestar in no time as a rear tyre.

Personally, with ebay I wouldn’t offer refunds on forks in case the buyer decides to swap out broken internal’s from their old forks etc.

If the buyer changes their mind and the forks were as you described then they can always sell them on…

NDH Hamsterley Enduro is on 15th Feb, laid back event but it does use some of the descend bike park tracks, so it depends on what sort of riding do you do?

I did my first race there last year, expected red grade stages but was a bit surprised to see we were on the DH stuff for 2 of the 3 stages.

It was wet and once 300 riders practise all morning it was quite churned up. Good fun though, even though I hadn’t really had much practise on that sort of stuff!

Not sure how well it would work on tree’s though…

I’m the same, but you have to go up to come back down. Most of my rides are <20 miles but involve a fair bit of climbing (slowly).

I’ve entered the climbing challenge, 20,000ft in Jan. Don’t have a roadie so it’s all MTB :)

Don’t think I’ll get anywhere near though…. 1 ride in with 2900ft so far!

I don’t upload my commutes but they are dead flat anyway.

Either Greno/Wharncliffe for a play about or head upto Raincliffe near Scarborough and scope about for some new trails :)

    Which polo is it?

This shape and newer all have hydraulic clutches

Sometimes you can adjust the pedal to change the biting point.

A high biting point generally means a worn clutch though…

On one chunky monkeys are pretty good on the front, soft compound, cheap and knobbly enough when there’s a bit of mud. Fairly good on the road too.

It’s alloy. People want light stuff. This is what happens to every alloy freehub body out there.

I can understand that, but after 8 months / 500 miles?

They specifically say you should use XT as a minimum. Again, why buy an expensive lightweight hub and put a heavy cheap cassette on it? That’s just common sense.

    I used an XT cassette.

Should I speak to Hope about this? I can’t see how it’s fit for purpose after such a short time.

Are XT cassettes are recommended to be used with these freehubs?
