I live in Pencaitland and head out all the time. I can’t always make the organised rides due to my shifts, but the ones I’ve been on are good fun. I’ll start posting before I head out, the only thing being it might be a wee bit short notice for some folk. My pace isn’t as fast as some as my skill/fitness levels are still being worked on, but its always a laugh. right now I might be heading out on Monday or Tuesday night, dunno where yet though. But I’ll have to wait and see about herselfs plans and the weather.

my wee gps programme crashed and i only noticed then. We had went through saltoun hall, honestly!

I was out last night for a pedal with only a bar mounted magicshine. I was way slower than my usual slow pace, but i still had loads of fun. I didn’t really mind the occasional blind spots but i recon a wee torch mounted on my lid would make a difference.

The woods were pretty muddy but it was good fun. my first time round those woods at night. I struggled a bit with the mud but hopefully the arrival of new tyres with sort this.

Looks pretty good. I’m interested to see what TJ’s recipe looks like too. If you’re bringing both yer lights out tomorrow it’ll be good to see your setup.

Oats is a good one, try those seed mixtures as well.
I mix white and wholemeal and get pretty tasty results.

I’ll be taking the extra 3 years. Not the end of the world for me. I spoke to cycle scheme on the phone and it made things a bit clearer. I also asked them what would happen to returned bikes. they said they would be given to charity or disposed of. i asked if cycle scheme would be selling any but they said no.

I’m home around 5 on thursday, i’d only need time to get some food in me as I live falling distance from the pub. No takers for a ride on wednesday as well as thursday?

So is my bike going to cost me alot more than I thought? I was told 5% by cycle scheme so I figures at the end of my loan period I’d pay an extra £50. My cyclescheme is over 1 year.
