No, I distanced myself after the masacre of the younglings, until we could pin the killings on the dark side it wasn’t done to be associated with the Jedi.

These posts make my window in Bradford sound very interesting!!

Over the years I’ve had (in no particular order),
    Several people pissing in doorways,
a guy defacating into a Biffa wheely bin,
two people smoking crack in a car,
two people having sex in a car, (two seperate occasions),
    two beauticians getting undressed,
a guy in the appartments opposite tugging one off,
a girl who used to spin round all night in her window (that was just weird),
several naked female students in the appartment windows opposite,
a guy breaking into cars, (we called the fuzz)
a police chase, during which the suspect threw a handgun into the beck,
    armed police making an arrest,
a couple of massive mill fires,
    two Chinook helicopters,
    Yorkshires biggest fountain,
a huge bird of prey we couldn’t recognise, but agreed it looked most like a vulture or condor!
    Several ketrels striking pigeons
and dozens upon dozens of cyclists going the wrong way down the one way street!!!

Run Schwalbe landcruiser tyres at 65-70 psi!

It’s what the puncture prone run on the three peaks to avoid flats.

Get in touch with the Raffertys!!!
    Pro ride guides!

They do their coaching in Yorkshire at Stainburn mostly but also at Gisburn too.

Wether you’re a beginner or an expert they can teach you things that’ll improve your riding.

    They come highly recommended.

And….if you’re a Singletraction member (those fantastic trail builders) you get a 10% discount!

Erm, on a Singletraction trail building day at Stainburn yesterday…….we gritted the trail! 🙄

The top of the descent/red return lines were solid with ice and it made barrowing a tad sketchy so we gritted it all.

I reckon four of us could have had the entire descent line gritted within an hour.

Is this why no one has replied to my “recommend me insurance” thread?
Oh for gods sake, I wanted your advice on insurance!
You sceptisism is costing me money on my renewal, thanks the STW massive, you’ve been good but now you’ve lost the plot.

By the logic that anyone asking for a recommendation is a spammer that will only leave posts from people either complaining about trivial matters or the high horse riding pious types.(but at least there’ll still be plenty of posts!)

I’ve fought about Korea too, I’ve also fought about world peace.
I once fought about shaving my head but decided that wasn’t good idea.

    Personally I enjoy,

Dick Hudsons pub down to Eldwick; It’s not very steep, it’s not very long, it just has something about it thats enjoyable.

Also the A658 from Rawdon to Apperley bridge, again, not steep but a fast fun descent on a good road with some flowing bends.

and the descent from Birkdale into Nateby (B6270) Only steepens at the end but if you sprint the top bit, you take off over the little rises.

Oh, and not forgetting the Run off Fleet Moss into Hawes!!! I’ve hit over 60 mph down there, not for the feint hearted!

In fact, enjoy a vid of the legend that is Steetons own Sid Barras chasing down a breakaway. Ok he’s riding up it, but probably as fast as most can ride down it. (3min 50secs) Look at the crowds!!

The new Kore brakes are great, just throw away the pads they come with.
I’ve run mini v’s (need a travel noodle thingy) good but untidy and close for mud shedding.

Frogleggs, look really good but flex more than an epileptic contorsionist.

The Kore’s are the best of both worlds, stick in some kool stop pads and they’re the next best thing to hydraulic discs!

    Wow! I fancy that!
Looks a lot slower than the flat out road races we call cross here in Yorkshire!

I think the problem here is that you’ve made your bike heavier by having un needed outer cable, not to mention the heavy burden of zip ties.

Cinnamon girl, while we’re at it then…….you’ve left your dust caps on your valves and your front quick release is pointing forward. That’s just asking to get opened in a bunch sprint and give some unfortunate soul a season ender of a crash!

You’re dangerous bike set up could ruin a promising road season! 😆

Charge don’t make a green spoon saddle yet

But Fizik do so you’re just not trying hard enough!

But the fizik feels like your sitting on a razor blade. (tried and tested)

but at least it would match, what’s a little discomfort when measured against a matching saddle and bar tape? Sort yourself out. 😉

Just noticed the spacers under the stem on that CR1 !! There’s a good 50 gm to be shaved off there!
And Angus has that touring bike, but no mud guards, road traditions and fashions have been abuse on this thread something terrible.

I’m off to watch videos of Jens Voigt to cleanse my eyes.

Dalby Saturday, was the best trail conditions I’ve ever ridden at Dalby! Made me see the place in a whole new light.
Got there late so no congested trails and the temperature was dropping after the mid day heat. Perfect!

Sunday was just a drizzly shi**er of a day.

    Maxxis mud monsters for me.
Used them for the last three years on the peaks at 65 psi and not one puncture.
Ride them on the red descent at Stainburn and local mtb trails, also used at Grizedale,Dalby and Gisburn with out a single flat. only place they’ve punctured was battering down Ilkley moor.
