Selling price £18. Post and packing ~£4. EBay fees ~£3. Roughly £10/11 profit…..except that the time listing, packing and posting isn’t free, nor is the space for storage, nor is the risk of having money held up in unsold stock.

I’d be interested in the naysayers calculations on what a reasonable price and profit would be….

Buy it, sell at a profit then lease an EV.

Very close to home as I’m in Beeston right next to the Uni but thankfully it was over before we had a chance to be worried – didn’t even know anything was up until I was already at work in Derby.

Yes. Almost every takeaway I have is split over 2 meals….living dangerously with reheated rice.

I **** hate that bloke with the clock on his head on jools Holland and pretty much everything else on jools Holland.

Especially as it’s filmed weeks ago..what a con!

This sounds similar to the people who moan about the price of a cup of tea in a cafe because they equate it solely to the price of the teabag.

Thank Nick, that gives me a lot more context and a few things to think about.

We’re the closest relatives – he had no children, so there isn’t anyone to even understand what the estate is – he lived in local authority sheltered accommodation so there is no property involved.

One of us could apply to be Executor but we wouldn’t know where to start in terms of the admin of discovering bank accounts, insurance etc.

In that case the use of this type of company makes sense but 23% (PLUS VAT!) seems awfully high….but also I suppose if the estate is only £800 they could be out of pocket.

Had a Hope V4 calliper off them recently – fast delivery and no problems at all.

I don’t know if the offroad is any good, but Majorca is pretty much road bike heaven.

The ride to the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor is a quite iconic ride.

We lost our 13.5 year old lab two weeks ago with a similar 24 hour demise. We had her before kids so she’d be a constant and longstanding part of our lives.

Her bowl is still in the kitchen and there’s a massive void in the house………but it is no small comfort to know she had a great long life with us and a mercifully quick and painless end.

We do have another lab which helps.

Thanks a lot all….the Singletrack Massive has given me lots to look into and reassurance that driving wouldn’t be that bad.

PS already looked at flying to say Perpignan but hire car costs offset flight cost saving.

Serious answer – how about Plymouth/Portsmouth to Northern Spain. Less time driving, more time relaxing?

Looked at that…..much more expensive and ferries are already full.

    “Will you take £15 posted”

Too many words……it should just be:

    15 posted

And nothing else. Almost like an instruction, that you’ll be grateful to carry out, rather than a question.

I have it very often if I down too much beer/alcohol too fast. I sneeze for 10 minutes. Slight allergy to alcohol maybe.

Here goes. I have a good job and a lovely family.

However I feel permanently stuck between feeling extremely angry and sad that my dad basically had a second wife for 20 years before and after my mum died in 2013.

It makes me feel like my whole life history is a joke……. So definitely semblance of normal outside and quiet desperation on the inside with far too much alcohol to take the edge off permanent anguish.

Use Outlook calendars for each room and the inbuilt Roomfinder capability. The panels snd associated cabling infrastructure are overkill.

Today was unusual because I repaired/fixed a couple of things.

    1) The U bend on the bath waste. It’s been leaking for months, with an empty ice-cream container underneath it collecting the drips. Today I fixed it (I think) with a replacement costing the princely sum of £5.18
    2) My son’s schoolfriend’s bike. A bmx with the rear wheel nuts slightly loose so the wheel had been pulled up the sliding dropouts and the chain had gone slightly slack. The poor lad’s dad died in his sleep a couple of months ago so I was more than happy to help.

You can reply to the feedback and give your version, but keep it neutral so you don’t exacerbate the negative.

Something like “Discovered item was faulty at point of despatch so agreed with buyer to cancel order…disappointed to then receive negative feedback for acting honestly”.

Write a full force letter, leaving no stone unscathed….then burn it.

There is much more to be lost than gained in writing down and sending what can only be viewed as an unprofessional attack.

Sorry this really get my goat when people talk like this like the English are unified.

Yep……and it’s not even as simple as that. There are plenty of Scots living in England and plenty of English living in Scotland, so to draw a line across the border and make everyone south of it “them” who are ALL different from “us” is ridiculous.

Facebook/forums etc…..unless you feel like a bit of sado-masochism – block instantly. Don’t engage, you can’t have a logical discussion with stupid.

Real life – more difficult particularly when it’s people in the same social circle e.g. in my case the Mrs’ friends’ other halves….smile Nd tolerate it while you have to.

Generally….limit your exposure and try to ignore the fact that these people exist.

    Steve Jobs and Joanne Doe??????

You do know that Steve Jobs founded the tech company “Apple” and John/Joanne Doe are the generic names that police in America use to tag dead bodies when they don’t know the actual name….

Nothing gets past you does it Sherlock?
