i would assume so juan. Ive cut about 60mm off bars before and still been able to fit controls very far inboard for one finger braking.

inner tube slime + modelling latex + windscreen washer fluid/water + glitter is the standard ghetto method. I usualyl do 33/33/33 and a small tub of glitter from tescos etc in when i did it.

Just got some stans stuff off ebay cheap and used that. Seems ace but not ridden it yet.

probably only in the mid thirties. Dont really use a computer so dont know.

Even at those speeds i start to feel like death himself is standing over my shoulder.

this may or may not be indicative of what i think of Raoul Moat but if i shot people or threatened to shoot police etc etc as he did i would hope some other bastard shot me in the head as fast as possible to make sure i didnt take it further.

my parents have landed on that one in papua new guinea. Apparently the plane was overlaiden to get up the dip in the middle of the runway so they literally got off the plane as it nearly stopped on the dip with some bags so it could get up.

:? Im glad i wasnt born by then…

Im not actually a high level rider however i think its as simple as ride ride ride ride ride ride. Then ride some more.

If you want to do weights i would do maybe 1 or 2 sessions a week but save that for winter.

The fastest people ive seen local to me are time triallers. Take of that what you want.

i skate with my dad on a cycle path along farlington marsh near portsmouth. Generally let cyclists past when they need to. I get annoyed by dog walkers not having their dogs on leads along there though. A 25mph collision would not be a pretty thing.

And im sure they aren't zig-zagging as you say, just skating. If you are so intolerant and unaware of other people then how do you expect car drivers to be tolerant of you ?

edit: dont tkae the dog walker thing as hypocrisy, i do let cyclists past and do slow down for dog walkers. I just think they need leads on them as ive nearly been knocked off a few times by dogs.

sort of attached to my inbred ss, but mostly in the way of "its my only mountain bike so if it breaks im f***ed for riding."

My fixie commuter is a beater by trade, built from rag tag components some of which are nice some of which are awful. That most certainly is a tool and always will be.

Donk, that track is in gosport near portsmouth/southampton.

Ive tried it on a mountain bike and its just not that rideable, i guess if you were very good at jumping or just wanted to pump it would be okay. Looks much more fun on a bmx :D which i dont havE :(

yeah i just went and looked at it. Theres no cracks or dents, just a few little nicks (by that i mean 1-3mm nicks) and some chalky marks on the plastic part.

    Think its okay.

    Hopefuly not last words there.

27 pounds for on one 26er, 18 inch frame, exotic carbon forks. Im let down by my wheelset i think. They are standard deore hubs front and rear, non butted spokes, xm317 front rim and a mach1 rear rim. Also standard deore crankset so not the lightest there.

Goes up to 30 poudns with fox 130mm's and a nobby nic up front…mmmmhmmm.

i think im the opposite, i know all my kit isnt great and i like to make sure people realise im aware of this. The only part on my bike that can possibly be considered the "best XXX part ever" is my XTR spds which i got for £30.

When on earth would you be wanting to spin faster than 20mph on a mtb anyway???

If you ride rigid SS usually ride that ffs, dont go adding suspension and gears. Just price it up if you want to see why you shouldnt do it.

Ive ridden my SS with rigid carbon and then 130mm travel forks. Whilst i learnt to ride some stuff and do drop offs wit hteh forks i can now do everything on the rigids i can on the forks. So in my case, suspension made 0% difference. In fact it slows me down as it weighs about 2 or so kg more than rigids.

ive been slowly shortening and heightening my cockpit for months now. The front end of my inbred is 445 a-c rigid forks, about 190mm steerer, hope 35 degree 70mm stem on top of that with easton mid rise EA50s.

The lack of shoulder/neck pain makes its worth it. Not noticed problems climbing yet but ultra steep is a bit hard on SS.

My suggestion would be something like interval training. I dont do it myself but cant you get a really intense and worthwhile workout done in less than an hour? If you were to do that runnign you could stay within a meaningful distance to your house if that is important. Or do it on a treadmill/rollers/stationary.

imo macs are awful so my views are very oen sided. I used macs at college for graphics and i thought they were awful. Slow, crashed frequently and generally couldnt get much work done on them.

I also remember seeing a comparison of a computer and a mac in terms of hardware performance. i think the equivelant of a £900 was a £300 computer.

Now, to try and drop the prejudice a bit i would seriously recommend lookign at windows 7. It really is ace, vista was shite. If you dont want to take an interest in your pc/mac with virus checkers and stuff accept that you will get viruses and lose lots of data. Its like not insuring your house/car, only do it if you accept the consequences in advance.

Also 3 computers in 9 years is really very good. If you are a serious user expect your harddrive to die EVERY 12 months, have a backup on the go and switch them out. They really arent expensive. This will affect both a mac and a pc so it doesnt matter which route you take.

are you sure there arent any other factors in your life affecting you ?

Its hard to ride if your depressed or have something at the back of your mind all day.

im running about 30mm of spacers on my inbred front end with a hope 35 degree 70mm stem and mid rise easton handlebars. Just about puts them a smidge lower than my seat. First ride last night with them that high and loved it. I think my saddle is a bit freakishly high for my height though.

after doing some fairly extensive research on my t-mobile contract im fairly sure its 750mbs. I dont see why it would be 1gb or even 3gb when all the others only offer 500mbs and the odd one or two 750mbs.

dont horns have to be able to be constantly active now? IE you cant use stupid little hooters like clowns have (why would you want to anyway?)

I do sometimes think people with chest mounts need to mount them lower looking up more so you can see whats coming up a bit more. when they slip down and are looking at the handlebars its annoying.

even after watching some really well made videos i very rarely get a smile put on my face the minute they start but your video made me grin like a muppet.

Probably because the music/slowed nature at the start and then jumping into the riding reminds me of how i like to ride and also the trails are 'everyday' trails not stupid 6ft jumps.

nuke proof, wide WHITE industries, on-one, someone else and exotic are all made in the same factory i believe. If you want proof just compare the products in detail. The dropouts/crown are the obvious places.

on the rare occasion i see women riding with the group im with they get treated the same as men.

Whats the point in mountain biking if you just piss about?

Now dont take that sexistly, ive seen men on full suss rigs who were less willing to ride than women who were out for their first time on hardtails with spds.

Closer to now would be tonight, doing the usual fast club mtb ride. Theres always something new on it, always good people to chat to and i know that come tomorrow i'll find it hard to walk. Thats a 'night out' for me :D
