Rather than being automatically transferred over from O2 to Sky, anyone in this position should give them a call first and negotiate with them. I managed to get free broadband and line rental from them which is a significant annual saving.

I stayed at the Embassy suites in Battery park about ten years ago. Brilliant place, and a good option for sharing as it has separate living / sleeping areas. However, I just tried googling it, and I think they changed the name.

This is now the Conrad Hilton Hotel. A great place to stay if you want to stay in a quieter location. Its next to the new world trade centre and close to the tube. Larger than average rooms for New York. Every room has separate lounge and bedroom. For somewhere more central Andaz Haytt on 5th ave is recommended.

Its all about the water to rice ratio. Get this right and you will get perfect rice all the time with any rice cooker or sauce pan

I had a quick go on one yesterday. The first thing that struck was the weight. Its felt really light but i guess thats to be expected for a carbon frame. I didn’t think the colour was too bad but its personal taste.

yep, i used to pay for the print edition but the online version is just as good and saves you a fortune in the long run. If you have an ipad or similar its just iike reading a normal newspaper…

The new Sony RX100 is supposed to be brilliant

I’ve recently purchased one of these and its fair to say that its the best compact camera i have used and has almost made my DSLR redundant. The picture quality is great, it has a very fast shutter speed, can shoot in RAW and is fully manual if you want full control. Its definitely as good as the reviews suggest.

I have had quite a few Konas in the past and it still remains my favourite bike make. They is something about a Kona that makes it fun to ride and response when out on the trail.

The full sus design maybe old but its tried and tested.

I’ve also been considering purchasing one of these watches for GPS. The Garmin has been edging ahead for me because of the touch screen function, battery life and ability to transfer data wirelessly. Its also slightly cheaper.

it was totally unrideable last week and is unlikely to have melted, especially given the current temperature and Dalby topography. We also had a fresh snow fall last night in Yorkshire as well…

Good news – you need to get a new efficient boiler. Worcester Bosch best.

My experiences of worcerster bosch has not been great. I had a new boiler installed and it only lasted a month before dying right in the middle of the last severe weather (early December). Luckily they guarantee the boiler but its been time consuming to fix.

The only other winter shoes i have tried are specialized defrosters which aren’t as warm or well made. The arctics are very warm, waterproof and should hopefully last quite a long time. I think the fleece lining helps to make it warmer that the normal version.

The arctic feel slight stiffer and have a fleece-like lining instead of a normal lining of the regular version, which makes it warmer and slightly more snug in fit. Its also completely waterproof.

I can do mine in 5 minutes and as I don’t work in a bike shop I don’t exactly get a lot of practice…

Have u ever bleed XTR brakes? they definately do not take 5 minutes… if u can do it in that time your worth every penny 🙂
