Hadrians cycle route is fairly easy the last 25 miles from Hexam to the coast. Nearly all down hill following the tyne. Pass some decent pubs as well on the way.

What if I win something and the buyer won't give it to me. Can I then force a court to hand it over?

    I wish I hadn't read this thread.

I am now learning all about the different lighting options available to me. I think the missus will kill me if I start rabbiting on about lights.

Barrowburn Tea Room – excellent place and what a huge slab of cake they serve

    Cake…….I love cake.

Just getting into exploring Northumberland properly. Never had the chance when I used to live here and now I do, it's better than I thought.

    Plus lots of cake.

Why not just crash head on into her. HARD. Whilst tumbling through the air deftly cut a lock of her hair. You can then stick it on a bald Barbie doll and kiss it at home in your own time.

use Loco Lobos that I also got cheap a few yrs ago, bought a few and still using them

I've had lots of comments about them from people on their looks and surprise at what they are and they have never heard of them.

I would like to stick with them if I can get them at sensible prices again.

The Barro Mountains also Joe Tubelessed themselves in one swift pump of the track pump, which is a good thing in my books.

I just built up an Enduro frame to see if that is going to stop my lower back problems or not. I suspect it won't as I had noticed the last few weeks it was a lot better on my HT anyway and I was a lot more relaxed riding it.

It will be interesting to see how well it does in stopping the lower back pain or if it was purely down to being over tense when riding.

Definite on the wear your helmets.

Just came off a few scrapes and bruises, but I knocked my head hard enough on a tree root to daze me for a few seconds and feel it for half an hour afterwards.

No helmet, I imagine the dazing would have been a lot worse

Slight hijack- Friend wants to divorce her husband (walked out to another woman) however shes on limited means (nice bloke huh?) – from what we gather if she wants to initiate proceedings she has to pay the Solicitor? Is that right?!!!

No. if she is on benefits she should be able to get a solicitor for free

Front mec, you need to be careful, as there isn't much space on the little bit of tube to mount it. top swing, bottom pull is what you need.

Bought a top swin bottom pull didn't fit

Presume it was meant to be a bottom swing bottom pull

    Bought wrong one.

I noticed my steel frame flex when putting it up and clamping it yesterday, so god knows what carbon does.

It would be interesting in high side winds with the stress being placed on it from the clamp.

Last thing I heard on the nicked bike front was thieves from Middlesborough often go to Leeds to get their goods, how they know where to look, I'm not sure.

Bradford thieves will travel to Leeds as well.

Not sure where the Leeds thieves travel to or do the stay at home.

Snapped my tricycle down tube when I was a kid with my sister standing on the back axle.

She told me to go up a kerb, I didn't lift high enough and ran straight into it. Frame snapped at the head tube. My mum chinned me, my sister lied and got away with it.

No doubt someone will be along in a second to tell us that car brake cleaner has oil in it. Hopefully just for once they'll have an example of one this is actually true for

Allegedly some car brake cleaner has oil in it. :P

The only time I've seen evidence of this was after I sprayed most of a can over an old rust bucket of a bike to get the encrusted crap off the mechs etc.

After it evaporated there was a massive oily patch just in front of the front door, although I suspect it was just the solvated crap left behind after the cleaner evaporated.

note: do any spraying away from the hawk like eye of the other half.

    Good deal on the bars.

I have Good n Evil grips on them which sorted out the narrowness of the bars for me as well.

Do OS bars need OS grips?

Take any imodium? That will flash a false positive.

Codeine, couch syrup containing codeine, medication that stops you coughing could well be based on codeine as well since it's one of the best drugs to stop the cough reflex

Get some car brake cleaner spray from your local motor factor – about a fiver.

    1.80 at europarts

Get some brake cleaner, puncture the base of the can with a can opener thing, pour out enough to cover bearings, give a shoogle about, and get the grease off. Pour the rest onto a cloth and either mug people or put over face and recreate anesthetics of days gone by (best to have willing partner to remove cloth before dying)

Quirrel; you'd need to go and look at a few pairs, see which ones are unscrewable. Personally, for the above reasons, I'd have the RX option made up by Oakley (have done previously). Well worth the extra.

Can't justify the cost, but do need some better fitting sports glasses for riding.

    The sting.

A friend used to run an airsoft/paintball centre.

After a few whisky's we always ended up playing airsoft t-shirt free in shorts – male bonding

Used to come out looking like a thousand mozzies had eaten us.

Dates – oh I love dates.

Whisky – I have stopped treating myself to any specials at the Co-Op now. Most of a bottle in one evening then enough left over a for a tipple the next was a waste of good whisky. I could have just drunk turps.
