I am in a similar situation just now.

Bought a bashguard with bolts, two of the four bolts are stripped, not all the way, they tighten up without bashguard, but with bashguard on they can't bite.

A new set it 6.99, what I paid of the bashguard in the first place.

Contacted seller on Friday, will give him until Monday to respond.

Quite happy with 3.50 paid towards the bolts, but the full 7 quid, I could have bought a new one for that.

I live on the Hadrians cycle way at Wylam, for now anyway.

It's easy enough to increase tyre pressure and do a quick ride out to my mates place in North shields. Record so far is 1h 35m for the return leg.

Downside is having to ride through walker and the cycle routes aren't really direct. I normally come off part way and use the road to cut off a bit of unnecessary hill.

Its very relevant if you can buy something similar for that price. You can't!
If people want to buy a stand that keeps the rear wheel off the ground, then this is the cheapest option.

Closest in comparison is the Topeak Ride up stand at £80!

£40 might seem a lot, but can you buy anything that does the same job for less..

If you have any children, nephews/nieces, neighbours with kids or live near a school with poor security, you could probably give them 50p to hold the bike for an hour or so.

Got to remember the Octavia is just based on the Golf floor plan so it is smaller.

The Superb is based on an elongated Passatt floor plan.

So when you look at going from an Octavia to say a Mondeo/406/Passatt/C5 you are essentially going up at least one car size

http://blotterart.com/ – for yee old trp heads.

Last time I had it, it was homemade, by a welsh chemist, and somewhat stronger than expected. time and space distorted, reality was nowhere to be seen, a good way to have our final trip as a group.

Bit reluctant to come home at the mo in case they don't let me out again. Looking for somewhere I can stay long term, and languages have never been my strong point

Know and met a few people on their toes some bar stool warriors others telling the truth

One lad was settled with a wife and kids, teaching EFL, mundaine boring job, had a decent income though from property, but he was never sure what was going to happen when his passport expired. Expired by now, but lost touch.

Check for countries with residency status – Argentina used to be one – if you lived there a set period you could get citizenship

No extradition and English speaking is the tough part.

Your financial situation is a big factor as well.

Latin American countries are a good choice if you can speak Spanish.

Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam/Indo/P'ines are all easy enough to get long-term visas for depending on age and money.

I just ran mine with cable ties on my bike.

A continuous run front to back cable tied in place. Don't care if it's a bit untidy, it works.

I have got some Geax Saguaro TNT which seem to have a very solid sidewall. Look for any of the Geax in TNT flavour.

I have Geax Barro Mountains in wire rim rigid and they turned tubeless in the blink of the eye. Solid sidewalls as well.

I want to start a campaign to get more people using Geax tyres and join the Geax fan club.

If the dog is running around barking at people on an area that dogs are walked, what happens then if it fights with a dog on a lead, using the right of way.

No. Their land, they should have the right to let their dog do what it likes. Maybe a sign would be a nice thought though, 'Big Dog, MTFU or bugger off'

    Thought as much.

Didn't seem like it wanted to eat me, just big dog barks and a little dog barking. Looked like a ridgeback to me and have had some off putting experiences with them.

She didn't seem mental. Quite pleasant really, her dog was really nice.

    On that note.

When I went through the gates, it goes through somebodies private land, but it's right of way. I have to push a button to open the gate to get out.

On doing so, the peoples dogs got all excited and came chasing out barking at me. One was quite large.

Should their dog be kept under control because a public right of way passes through their land or not?

you killed her really, didn't you

no. And I've always had that 12 year old black lab in the garden.

I have never bothered discussing access with a walker

I didn't really have that much of a choice, I was stuffed from the climb, and for the best part in a fairly jovial mood.

    Beagle's are stubborn.

We had one that never wanted to go for walks and never wanted to come back from them. Had to drag her all the way there and all the way back.

    Greedy as well.
