Get the CR500. And some new underwear.

Off all the bikes I've ridden, the CR500 is the one I had the greatest respect for. It could climb walls if it wanted

I never got to ride the three cylinder kawasaki stroker, but one day, when I'm feeling suicidal I might give it a go.

High end raiding in the game is where it's at

Rolling on things that you don't need and nicking them is where it's at. Just being a complete c*** and ruining somebody's 4 or 5 hour raid by grabbing the lot using an exploit was worth it. Don't think that can be done on the official servers though.

Rode my mates CR500 converted to Super-Motard around a go-kart track and can honestly say I was papping myself all the way round.

Gave up on it when it started to become more like work than a game.

After about 8 months of playing it, I realised that there was more fun in finding out the latest private server hacks and exploiting them until banned, then starting over again.

Glad I don't play it anymore.

I have been moving into a mates 'dump' the last few weeks in preparation of residing there while he gets work done on it over the next year or so. I get dirt cheap rent, he gets somebody around prepared to muck in.

Last Sunday I was over there to escape the missus and do some work. 2 hours into someone at the front door went BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG knocking as if they wanted to break the door in.

I immediately thought "F…k that I can't be arsed to see who that is" Thirty seconds later the same again.

I got up and went to the top of the stairs to hear someone saying " I'll stand by the corner of the gate to keep an eye out" and then five more knocks.

Fight mode kicked in and I ran down tore the door open ready to confront some local raggies to find my next door neighbours son stood there.

"Is it ok if my kid gets the frisby from your garden? I saw you were in and I thought I should ask"

It took so much effort to not scream at him for banging on the door like that. Told him it wasn't a problem and next time to knock a bit quieter.

The reason for a bash is that it saves getting oil on your calfs. Mind you, I regularly bend my bash guard. Having said that, I'm going back to a 44 for this next year. See how long it'll last!

After watching my mate gouge his ankle open on the outer chain ring in a lovely zigzag slice, a bashguard is quite appealing

    The missus uses the bus.

She has had run in with two drivers. Both of them for being c***s to her.

First driver refused to let her use her student bus pass and which obviously perplexed her. She was made to buy a ticket which was a benefit in the end. Then he topped it off by telling her that f***ing foreigners shouldn't be here and he was fed up of them.

I called the company about that, they asked if I could identify the driver, well of course we could we had a ticket from him.

He wasn't fired and he continued to act like a knob. In the winter the same driver stopped about 10 yards from the bus stop where the missus was standing. She walked to the bus to get on, he tapped his watch and refused to open the door. She stood there waiting, he waited a few minutes then drove the 10 yards to the bus stop, open and shut the doors and drove off.

I went ballistic about that, told the bus company if they didn't do something about him I would go to the newspapers, the college, local equal rights groups and anybody else I could think of.

He wasn't seen on that route again.

Other driver, just refused to let her use her pass, time and time again. She kept buying tickets, same driver, kept complaining, until he obviously had got a decent bollocking. He would then spend a good minute inspecting her pass and ID every time she got on, like a c****.

I contacted the company about this, but said I was very happy with the efficiency of the drivers and the length of time the took to ensure that the correct passes were being used and I appreciated that some drivers probably found it harder to remember all the passes as easily as the others and would require a bit longer inspecting them.

So that stopped and he just let her on after that.

God monster post, sorry about that.

I'll tell tales of buses racing in Bangkok and near misses. Or Korean buses where they braked so hard and accelerated so fast that I got car sick every time I was on.

So the council won't do anything, the police won't do anything.

I farking hate people like this, why everything is going to pot, nobody will bloody well stand up to scum and stop them.

Man up and do soemthing about it and stop posting on here until you have some photo evidence.

If the police are refusing to do anything, file a complaint. Call the local papers and get him in them.

Go get some snails and start throwing them into his plot when he is there.

If the council won't do anything, contact your local MP and tell them what is happening and you fear corruption in the council. Mention that you will take it higher up in the offical government complaints as you can until somebody answers.

Stand back and watch the fireworks fly.

With everyone spending £100's on LCD and Plasma TVs there are 100's of nice 28" and 32" CRT TVs available second hand.

I've actually got one, but for the life of me I can't remember who I gave it to take care of., but it was 10 years ago.

There are a few rear projection ones up for around a 100quid and under which would do the job.

Or this deal here – http://newcastle.gumtree.com/newcastle/84/64561584.html

From a well known part of Newcastle. I might give Jerry a call later once I know the withdrawls have started and he is desperate for the money.

I can't really afford to fork out 300 quid

Correction, I cannot bring myself to pay 300 quid for a tv outright, a bike part, just about, a TV, no.

Panasonic stores normally do buy now pay in 12 months @0%

That's the sort of thing I want.

Think you've answered your question there.

Get a free local paper and go to the classifieds, you will pick up a decent TV for £40.

You get first prize for the first "tell me what I need" STW answer

Boarder collie, Max – cleaver, although ball obsessed
Cocker spaniel, Millie – cleaver, loves to play
Old English Sheepdog, Oscar – looks bit dumb but is cleaver
Pointer, Archie – very cleaver – is the boss
Chocolate Lab, Ben – fairly cleaver, slim, likes to get the ball off Elmo and likes to hump Max.

    Sound like dangerous dogs.

Is that a Viz top tip? I'm sure they haven't thought that it might be a good idea if their kid made a bit less noise.

Genuinely, no. As I said in my post, cultural differences can make a big difference in what people see as acceptable noise.

Can yourself or Troutie produce a cheaper option using parts from other models? So rather than machining your own cases etc, retrofit to stock bought from DX or suchlike?

Surely with your skills and the cheaper chinese option you can put together something for the tighter of wallet or is it not possible with the profit margins etc?
