I used to have an M3 Advanced, but we can’t find it now.

    It worked

If you paid the deposit on the credit card then you are in luck.

The credit card company is now responsible and involved in the sale.
Doesn’t matter if you paid in cash or not for the final payment.

My ‘gap year’ turned into 7.

Pretty sure that I just applied for a visa in the summer and then went to australia.

Didn’t immensely enjoy Australia, but that was more to do with having to hang out with people that I wouldn’t normally want to.

Wouldn’t insure my contents because the house was too old (1950’s)…not sure why that is a problem, but there you go.

his particular issue I think has just got a little out of hand.

You seem to be championing him on this thread.

He has no history of being anything other than straight in any purchases

Unless you are the purchaser it, appears.

It took this thread and action on the OP’s part to get a response. Is the freeform5spot user to be let off the hook because he has paid up this time?

Sound like this was a pointless thread if that is the case.

It will be interesting to see if school is open tomorrow or not.

Speaking as a Londoner who no longer lives there, am I doomed too?

You can save yourself by going on local TV and telling the local people about how your family members are dealing with the hardship down there. The further north you go with your tale the less likely you are to die. I suggest the Orkney Islands to get maximum effect.

Isn’t there a limitation on the number of MOT’s a year now for a car.

How do we do that, then?

Call the new’s agencies, then when they come to film you, get your 4wd stuck in a small snow drift on the street and tell them how terrible it is you can’t get little Oliver to his tantric playgroup and you don’t know what he’ll do. Show them some soggy cucumber and ask how you are meant to make sandwiches with it and then tell them “you have never seen it this bad”.

    Works everytime

How things are at the moment with road clearance and people who can’t drive yet insist on getting out on the road, if you set off Wednesday you might get here for Thursday!

I was out yesterday with a friend in his Ford Ranger. RWD and sideways everywhere he could go. Plonker thinks he’s Colin Macrae, however at no point was he out of control of the vehicle, unlike the two others we saw wrecking their cars on the kerbs.

Don’t be a fool. It’s not about some sort of teenage vendetta. The OP has received an offer to sort things out financially. Leave it at that.

Vendetta? I was thinking more vigilante.

The OCR (I think thats who publishes them, they look like comics) GCSE and A-level revision books could probably teach you the entire sylabus in an afternoon with some prior knowlage or a week maybe with none.

Load of crap OCR stuff, absolute guff.

I then received a PM from Peter Gratwick via Bike Radar asking for my details so that he can pay the money he owes… Let’s see if he does, and I will keep this post updated with progress.

I would rather just keep messing up his business rather. It would be more satisfying in the long run.

Start with Chemistry for You it’s a GCSE text book. Gives a good solid background. Not namby pamby new age GCSE either

Then it all depends on what his interests are – Organic or Inorganic.

Lots of good basic level organic chemistry books around, can’t remember off the top of my head, but I used to use one from 1930’s or so when I first started, it was simple and I was able to get my head around what I needed for school.

My school and our partner school are based on the top of a hill and in the bottom of a valley in County Durham.

Staff live all around, most seem to live within 10 miles of the schools, however, roads in and out of a lot of their villages are impassible. Any coming down the A1 or A19 will be stuck for hours in jams.

My boss when he rang, doubted he would be able to get out of his village if anymore snow came and/or the ploughs didn’t come.

On Thursday it took him 1:30 to go 6 miles.

The big problem with where we work is that people do travel from all around, Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle.

First case, bloke goes 8p overdrawn so bank charges him £28. He rings up and says he can pay that in a week or two. Bank says, no, you’re overdrawn so you need to pay it back. Long story short, he leaves it for 2 years as he can’t afford it and it ends up with £250 worth of charges. He has to borrow money off family to pay this which he then pays back in 2 weeks. Eh?

A direct debit came out of a bank account that I never used anymore at the NatWest. Not sure why it hadn’t changed to my normal account but it hadn’t.

That was 5 years ago now.

A year later I get a letter stating I owe 250 pounds to them. I was working in Korea at the time. I called them up and asked what this was all about.

The direct debit came out. They for some reason claimed to not have my address and therefore didn’t know how to contact me (same address for years and folks still lived there) so they let it build up until I hit 250 pounds, at which point they sent a letter to the address they had on file for me wanting the 250 pounds.

I argued that if they had contacted me straight away I would have paid the 18 quid fee as it was completely my fault, but because they had left it and then cunningly sent me a letter once over a certain amount I wasn’t having it.

I ended up paying about 80 quid. To spite them I put a penny in my account and setup monthly statements to be sent. So it’s now costing them however much per month to send me a letter saying I have 1p in my account, twunts.

I just spent an hour clearning the drive and paths. It was nice to have to do it because I wanted to, not because I had to go to work.

What to do now? Marking? Planning? Lie in bed for a bit and pretend I’m on holiday. Watch a movie, while marking and planning in bed, pretending to be on holiday, with a beer (later)

Have AC units like that in our house and apartment in Thailand. Also had one in our rented house in Korea along with underflood heating.

Only thing I remember from the one we had replaced in the house was that we went for a larger sized one than we needed to make sure it didn’t get overstrained trying to cool 40 degree air all the time. IIRC we went 1000BTU over for negligible cost, but at least we knew the room was always cool.

Fitted mine together last night, still haven’t wired in the switch though, but got the led’s etc in place permanently with some good old fashioned bodging. Holes were drilled a little off on the lenses but looks ok.

Just need to find some time to finish off the wiring up of the back panel now.

Used to work in South Korea.

Once a term the school had to do a local (national) nuclear attack training and listen to some recording of what to do.

The towns would stop, cars would be stationary during it, great it was.

Are you now short of a switch and cover, or did you replace them?

Got them from Maplin a few weeks ago.

Bought a second drill and dismantled the battery pack. It’s a bit bigger than I thought, I may use it or I may just save it for DIY use.

Just realised where I’ve been going wrong.

Been reading AAA as arctic silver paste that one would use with a pc heatsink, not the actual adhesive.

you’ve got to do some research and study this thread in detail. All the info is there if you look.

Have done, several times, saw the drilling stars bit when I first got the kit ordered on the third page…yes I have taken this long to get this far with it.

Decided not to drill the stars, due to not having a press.

Yes have the piece of alu, but thought looking at the case shape and the l shaped bit I would be able to add extra cooling with the heatsink cut and stuck in place, however being a spoon, I didn’t think about it being locked inside the case without air flow.

Everything else is pretty much clear.

I managed to lose bits of the kit from a sealed box before I even got around to starting on it. No idea where or how they got out, but the switch, cover, and one bit of wire vanished. They were 100% there before I started as well.

Still have no idea what way round the jack goes for positive and negative, but will dig out a multimeter from the supplies cupboard at work to find out.

I bought a cheap 10 quid drill at Netto today. I had planned to use the battery pack from it, it’s 18V but only 1000mAh so I will keep it for electric screw driving ability.

Just found a PC heat sink upstairs that will need a trim but might work to mount the LED’s to for more efficient cooling

Just had to abort the drive to work. I didn’t even make it out of the village! (Wylam, Northumberland)

Used to entertain me no end last year watching that when I lived in Wylam.

2:30 to get from Fawdon to Sacriston today.

30 minutes to get from the A1 Chester-le st roundabout to the next roundabout on the a167.

Total chaos. The A1 was blocked just after the metrocentre on that cheeky corner, radio said the driver had minor injuries and went to hospital, is he expecting any sympathy from me?
