I found that hitman was one of the most effective at tracking and killing nasties, but you need net access for it.

Check your hosts file and your DNS to see if it’s been changed, if they have it may well stop you being able to download antivirus software.

This is the sort of baby talk I’m interested in.

What baby monitor warns you of room temperatures?

Pee on it but remember when you next tinker with it, wearing your gloves, then use your teeth to pull your gloves off, you get wee in your mouth.

What you need is a trail dog to run along side you and pee on it and set intervals

I got some Halford Advanced carriers, which were great, until I put 140mm travel forks on my Enduro and now it doesn’t fit, so D.

    are you a
    Red

    Quirrel or a Grey Quirrel?

I used to me mrsquirrel, but people on forums thought my name was Mrs Quirrel, and eventually Quirrel stuck.

I’m pretty common, so I suppose I’m grey

I used to own some rubber plantations with the missus. We did alright out of them and sold them off rather than run them. We managed to get out before the middle man fixing scam in Thailand crashed the rubber price there.

I’m one of the lazy teachers that you allude to, so to keep my eye in, I’ve fixed your spelling and what grammar I’m able to salvage. I’m not able to make it meaningful, however

    Ooh me too.

I’m really hoping that tomorrow it’s closed as well. That would mean I only have 8 more getty ups until the holidays start.

    Don’t take it back.

You can unlock a Sanfransico for 5 quid.

Then he can use it on whatever network he likes.

IIRC you can do all sorts of fancy things to the firmware as well.

If you know you have post/parcels then go pick it up from your local Delivery Office.

I don’t have the little red card they put through the door, which I presume I need to get post.

Is anyone on the Korean peninsula not called Kim?

Used to work with lots of Kims, Parks, Lees and Whans.

I think we had five Mr Kims in the office

A1 between Fawdon and the Metrocentre (small stretch I know) was shockingly bad for what was supposedly a little bit of snow the night before.
Both lanes running, but outside lane was somewhat slippy.

I wouldn’t have fancied going too much further in it.

I witnessed a car slaming his brakes on the A1 last year, roof covered in snow, straight over the screen. It was great watching the sheer terror in the lads eyes as he realised he couldn’t see where he was going.

Luckily the people behind all braked as well, and no accident occured, but he had to get out and clear his car on a busy bit of dual carriage way. Knobber.

Winter tyres lose their snow benefit at 4mm of grip but they start out life with about 10mm don’t buy part worn tyres off ebay.

The ones I picked up with 5mm of tread left have made a huge difference, thanks.

My mates a landfill manager down scunny way and he drove past the local council refuse place today on the way to work, to see lots of the workers he knew from the wagons outside. Asked them if they were going to work today and they told him that it was too dangerous and they were waiting to tell their boss they weren’t going out.

Advanced age dementia is clearly a problem at a younger age than you might’ve imagined.

I think it was possibly more of a lifestyle choice.

    30 definitely better than 20’s.

I can remember the last two years, can’t remember much at all of the first 5 years of my 20’s

A1 around newcastle was poor this morning.

Work called and told me to come in if was safe, if not work from home, the school buses couldn’t get up the hill to school again.

Was glad to go back, had some loon sitting a cars length from my back, when I was going 60 in the fast lane, with a constant distance between me and the person in front.

    Subframe bent
    or something else

I did it to my old vovlo 440 and managed to bend the subframe, strut and wishbone. wheel was nearly under the car.

convert – This is who I bought from yesterday, delivered today
    Tyres

They are part worn, but for the price I’m not arguing and they will get me through the winter no problem

I called the depot directly and haggled a deal as well, 60 quid all in for two tyres.

They aren’t new, but they will do another 5000+ miles easily.

I have driven several different cars with winter tyres on when I lived over in Germany. They are great & make it much more like driving in ‘normal’ conditions.
I lived in a pretty hilly part of Bavaria and never once felt like I was going to get stuck or have an issue with traction.

I looked at getting winter tyres for my car, but keeping the same wheels, the only tyres I can find available in the size I need are >£100 each!
I could opt for the mytyres deal of winter tyres fitted to steel wheels and drop down to a smaller rim size (assuming the caliper on the front will not foul), but even that is looking at costing £480.

Unfortunately in the run up to Christmas, having just paid for my insurance and having my air-con pump need replacing I can’t really afford to spank £500 on winter tyres…..will just have to be extra careful!

ivantate – what size tyres did you manage to get 4 off for £280?!

Buy part worn then for this winter, even if it’s just two.

I do it from my driveway to the road.

Either side of my driveway I have about a metre of wet, hard packed snow that will stop anybody sliding in an accidentm and keep those NOrthern Rock twunts from parking right at the edge of my driveway.

I’ve had a few people make comments about me clearing the path and road, one said I was making it slippier, I advised her not to walk on it then.

I just picked up some part worn tyres 5mm delivered today, just stuck them on the front, 60 quid, delivered, bargain, 20 quid fitting and swap front to rear.

Pirelli Winter Sorrotos or something like that.

And believe it or not, a noticeable difference on the way back from fitting in grip and feel.

    Really surprised.

So 80 quid to get me through to march and then stick new tyres on that were due anyway, not bad really.

I spent the weekend sideways in my mates Ranger, all on of his own doing, he loves rear wheel drive in the snow.

An ounce and a bit of high end skunk, which could then turn you a profit of ~60 quid which would also make you the coolest kid in school and set you on a career path at the same time

I asked for a skills course as well after being asked by my folks what I wanted.
My old man said there was no point as I would be too busy……..SO WHY ASK?

I think I’m getting some socks now.
