From my old stable before it was broken up.

    AJ Model 5

    R1-Z – bored out to 350cc

Took out the 400cc engine and slotted in a Bros 650 into it.

Given to me to clear a debt. Say no more.

Same engine as R1-Z but not bored out.

    Pub and beer run bike.

Can’t even remember why I got this now, but hated every minute of having it.

Magazine featured blackbird – it was mine. They put my nickname in teh magazine as Handsome Q.

Shame they cocked up the photoshopping on the grab rail

My Tiger 110cc Thai made piece of crap……but no matter what it did, it never died. I even managed to submerge it in my garden over the top of the bike engine running, and it kicked over first time.

One to which I suspect there is no answer.

At GCSE there are many things left unanswered and many things which are taught as false truths.

Candle is placed in a bowl of water. A gas jar is placed over the top of it. The candle goes out and the water level rises.

    Why?

I know that, but what is to say that something billions of light years away cant have the same absorption or emission characteristics but be a different material?

Because that would go again everything we know up to this point in science.

Poor troll. Neds slapping babies is better.

It’s based on the absorption or emission spectrum from them depending on what equipment you use.

I still don’t know why I thought pouring meths saturated with salt onto a flaming table would give me the desired effect. There were flames about a metre in front of me and behind me as well.

Put it down to Monday morning madness

Hmm a company that has it’s own accident claims calculator iphone app…?

That’s them. Said they were great. They offered to do the whole whiplash business, but he wasn’t interested, just needed a hire car and his car fixed without having to record it on the insurance database, because it will affect the renewal.

A friend of mine had good experience with that Win solicitors. They appear to have protected his no claims, he refused the injury crap but got a hire car etc.

Worth making a call to them before messing up your own insurance

It depends on the level of the CRB check and there are 3 different kinds.

Level 1 shows unspent convictions/cautions (although cautions are now spent as soon as issued).
Level 2 shows all convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings, spent or unspent.
The super-enhanced CRB check will have the same along with details of any contact you’ve had with the police, whether charged or not. This one is reserved for people applying for jobs with children & vunerable adults though.

Again though they aren’t that accurate on the enhanced. I know of several people who don’t have their previous cautions show up on enhanced CRB’s

lots of places in newcastle, but it depends upon what you want and budget.

Butterfly Cabinet in Heaton – really nice food, odd decor, but shuts at 5pm.
Bangkok Cafe – ok for Thai food
smoked Duck restaurant on stowel st, missus loves it, reminds her of korea
cafe mozart if it’s still open opposite train station in central hotel – used to be not bad for the price
stateside american diner on pink lane opposite train station- nice burgers there.

15mm and a bit of 22mm will be a lot cheaper than someone who is using 28mm, some 22mm and some 15mm. choose wisely!

Do you not also have an issue with turbulance (?) when dropping sizes?

    We had it done recently.

3450 using old rads, one new one in the lounge, one in the bedroom cupboard and a towel rail.

20mm pipe all round replacing the microbore that was there before. The owner was thinking about not doing it, but the quote ended up being only 800 quid more, so he went for it. Copper piping as well. House heats up fast and there is no risk of the pressurised system popping the microbore in the walls.

Ask him if he can fix the driver up date problem with Nvidia cards.

Then start talking about ATI cards and see if he catches on.

no one has said how awesome goldie used to be either.

I had a pushy shovy fight with him once. I think he’s a knob.

Generation Dub lived next door to me before they became GDub – nice lads and really proud to see they and Taxman or Original Sin (can’t remember who is who now) have done well for themselves

I saw Shy Fx last year, first night club i’D been in for about 8 years. Was mint it was. Especially as the music was all from when I was into my jungle, so didn’t feel too old. Even with all the sweaty young things around me.

Well if it comes up with 3 in 1 I doubt it’s an oil based paint, just try having a good scrub at it with a wire brush to see if it comes off, you don’t need bare screed just make sure there’s a key for the levelling compound.

When the 3 in 1 was spilt on it, I didn’t notice for a bit, then realised that the floor was wet. I gave it a good clean, took several goes and it never got through to the concrete below.

It was suggested to use PVA to get a key on the floor. I have an orbital sander handy so could use that to key the floor as well.

    Thanks for all that.

The house is in chaos just now and the kitchen floor is a key area in being able to make progress elsewhere.

Photo doesn’t really come out. Just looks like a brown floor.

I managed to spill some 3 in 1 oil on it a while back and that made the surface wipe up on a cloth, but didn’t go through to the concrete.

I was thinking that a cheaper quality laminate with a bit more flex in it might be good for the job.

What about screwing sheets of MDF to the floor to level it out?

And is there anyway not to have to remove the floor paint?

    Xylene

    Cheers.

    Looks like it’s laminate then.

I take it the floor paint acts as a vapour barrier.

I like the one I got.

The only downside is I feel awful about an hour after getting up….but that is probably having to go back out in the dark and drive

LOL! They started fireworks at 6.20pm @ the Civic Centre …

I read that before I went out, but presumed it there were more….as did all those people on the bridge counting down the new year.

My mate and landlord, was up to switch card 20+ when the bank rang him to ask why he kept losing them. He worked on a landfill and regularly fell out of his pocket.

Lost a 500 quid pair of glasses 24hours after landing in Australia.
Left them on the roof of a taxi after somebody jumped in while I was out getting food. Dragged the guy out and put them on the roof. Didn’t realise until I got back.

Had a book nicked in a hostel I stayed in when I put it down while I went for a pee.

Left my cap in a taxi in <Malaysia after it had survived 12 months of me fannying about around the world.

Lost Mrs Q’s camera, she is mighty miffed about that.

All depends what you are after. As Quirrel says there’s some good stuff to see in Malaysia too. Borneo particularly.

Malaysia is one of my favorite places in SEA. Not sure why, but it was one of the places that stuck in my head the most.

Be aware of Monsoon times though for Perenthians etc.

MTFU there is nothing like being on an over loaded tourist boat in the middle of a storm, dropping into troughs higher than the boat, leaning at precarious angles and watching an Indian lad sitting on the handrail jumping off because his bum got dipped in the water.

It might be harder than you think tho, it took us 3years and plenty heartbreak to get one all the way out and the missus is mid 30s.

Cost my sister about 15k in fertility for the first one and another 5k for the second. She is planning a third in a couple of years, but might be too old then.

Mrs Q on the other hand. Told me that we should have a baby. Had a chat about it, agreed that it was a possibility in the near future. I thought 2 years, but agreed again that if it happened it happened.

6-8 weeks later she is bloody pregnant and puking everywhere. I know from my panda like libido it might only have been a few times in that period.

I hope it was one uber fit sperm with all my good bits in that did the job and not one from my youth still all loved up and dopey.

You’ve been had. That looks like strawberry and raspberry mix. Which is a whole other story. I don’t think dogs are allowed to buy strawberries.
