I have that FSA cranks set and had issues when replaced the BB the other week with the spacing.

I managed to get it to fit in the end using an XTR bb I have a spacer on the left side and one on the right for my frame.

    It works fine.

How are they Wanga’s if they don’t have the steel frame?

    Utter bollocks.

It’s not a career unless you are qualified at MA level or above.

Don’t get fooled into thinking that it’s all roses, its a tough industry and full of bullshit. If you are at a private school/academy/after school programme, then it’s a business and you tow the line. If you are in the main school of a government ran school then it’s all politics.

Thailand, ok place to live, spent 4 years or so there, bollocks wages and far too many knobbers.

Korea, ok place to live, but you have to forget your westernised beliefs, good wages, loads of American and Canadian knobbers, but wage affords a decent enough a lifestyle.

If you are after recognition of your qualification at a basic level then do a CELTA or Trinity ESOL, the other ones are crap and don’t really have the recongition the later two do.

Give it a go, be prepared to walk away, and remember it’s not home, your culture or how you like things to be, if you can accept that, and don’t spend your time complaining about how stupid the natives are and why do they do this and that, you will have a great time.

I thought the ‘hydroformed’ frame looked a bit strange for a bit of steel.

Don’t look like such good value now.

He mentioned that the Halfords Wanga is different to the stateside Wanga, makes me wonder if Halfords are just using the name.

All ordered and done, via Mr Murray himself.

Can’t really fault that for service and only 20 quid for the parts.

I’ve spoken with him before regarding geometry of the bike.

How many other companies let you speak to a legend via email?

just as well you dont have discs or it could have been much worse..

    |I knew it wasn’t going to go well when the first time I tried the brakes they didn’t stop and squeeled. Looks like they got contaminated at some point when working on another bike….

    I hope so.

Got to check and see how badly it was ripped out. Looks like it may have knacked the dropout which will be a pest on the wanga as it’s that massive sliding unit with no extra hanger.

At GT on Saturday, my mate wouldn’t ride a rocky bit. I went down it, fell off, tried again, rode it fine. Told him to stop being a pansy and get on with it.

He went about a foot into it and came off, managing to stub his toe.

He kept complaining his toe was hurting later on.

The next day his toe, and most of the inside of his foot up to below his ankle was black with bruising. No idea why, but whatever he did stubbing his toe caused lots of brusing

190×50 or I think I can get away with 200×50.

I think the can can be serviced but that is about it.

I’ve seen a few shocks on ebay, but I like to keep my costs to the mininum with my bikes and feel a 130 quid shock is overkill, but very tempting.

It’s a pearl 3.1 on it just now – no idea if it’s been serviced ever before. I presume it needs roxk shox busings.

If I replace the whole rear shock with something new, a DT Swiss XM180 (I think it is) what do I need for mounting it?

Well we got there in good time, about 10:00 ish.

My bike was ready to go, my mates bike was another story. He had failed to heed my instructions and pick up some spare brake pads as his were getting low. 28 quid later he had front pads fitted and half of a back pad, but one of the pistons is a bit sticky and not wanting to break something used the best of the four old pads – the only one with any material left on it.

By the time I had fannied around gettig the pads in it was 11:30.

We managed in the end to do the red loop with a couple of other bits thrown in. Feeling the pain today, and quite scary how much my fitness has dropped in the last few months.

Quite amazed by some of the fast old men getting their knees down in the corners.

Gae the wormhole a go as well. Took two attempts to get through the first bit cleanly. My mate managed to stave his toe and turn it black – bloody pansy, but I have it on video.

Will have to get back more often, the folks only live an hour away from me.

They also have the Elisdons (sp) out the back of their house for some more adventuring

These trails do not exist and there’s absolutely no chance that if you were to send an email to the address in someone’s profile, they might tell you where they are. Definately.

    Right.

I’ve come across a few places with trails that don’t exist before…….even received warnings that they do not exist and shouldn’t be spoken about.

I won’t be emailing anybody about them.

If he is that worried why doesnt he just rent a full face and Leatt neck brace and full armour-

Because he would look like a complete c*** then and would be riding alone. 😀

supertacky swampthing on the front for a trail centre needs sorting out though…

    I’m trying to tell him.

He did think he had broken his neck though at Thrunton. Hit the ground hard enough to snap the back off his helmet. The ripping sound was the fastener at the back coming undone.
Never seen my mate so quiet after an off. Gave him a fright.

Entrance way to house is narrow, straight up stairs, with very little turning space.

Front door is actually 26″ wide, internal door 90 degrees to it is 29″. Stairs directly in front.

    Sofa is 86″ 42″ 32″.

It’s one of those outlet stores that sells other stores models, some which couldn’t fit in peoples houses because they didn’t measure it.

I don’t fancy a grand of tick at the shop if it doesn’t fit.

I’ve been examining the window. Only concern I have is breaking the plastic bead.

Sofa is the only one I’ve liked out of hundreds, but there is now way I’m ending up with a credit note for a shop for a grand when there was only one sofa that I wanted in it

It was the discs, which is reassuring after going out last weekend on it, could have been nasty.

That’s what I get for finding my bottom bracket seized up after a month or so in the shed after winter riding and spending my preride check replacing that and then dashing out.

No all held tightly in place.

Just put fresh pads in tonight as well.

Front brake held on tight, move front wheel and it’s backwards and forwards by about an inch. Appears to be moving around the axle,

    Headset is good.

I can lift the wheel off the ground and move it by hand backwards and forwards.

I presume it’s something to do with the hub, but I don’t know what.

An old aquaintence who spent much of his time inside as outside of jail told me a story of a nonce that came onto the wing.

In the evening when the hot water did the rounds for nobody took theirs and left it all. On getting to the nonces cell he was pinned down and the scalding water poured over him. Guards turned their backs.

He was left there screaming for the night, which kept everybody awake, but was worth it for the crime he committed (something similar to the artilce iirc)

My mate wasn’t one for exagerating a tale. He had led a colourful life. I like to think the story is true as horrible as it is.
