I also spent 2 summers teaching English to foreign kids, I had no lessons and it really wasn’t that difficult, although it was utter shite IMO as I hated every minute of it. Certainly wasn’t hard though!

That’s not teaching. That’s working for a business.

each year get a new year 7 class use the same plan!

Because that really works when you have a class of kids with reading ages from 5-12 in one group. Just recycle the plan and leave the thick ones to it.

    Thai immigration law

They are a bugger aren’t they. Are they still wanting 400,000B in the bank to consider settlement on a non-immigrant-O?

^ RIght, then the making it 100% would be overkill and somewhat painful if it gets in your eyes

Depending on what strength ammonia solution you want, it can be easily made from ammonium nitrate cold packs.

Depends if you want it strong or not.

For how to make your own ammonia.

Borax causes crosslinking in the PVA. Glycerol can be used as a plasticizer to allow the cross linked strands to slid over each other.

Too much borax and it just turns rubbery quickly.

    http://practicalchemistry.org/experiments/pva-polymer-slime,153,EX.html

Always a good source for chemistry practical work.

I would add the Borax as solution rather than as powder. I’m pretty sure last time I made slime at school I used 5% Borax solution and PVA @25% – but I would need to check through some notes and see what I did.

I would consider throwing some glycerol in there as well to stop the crosslinking a bit. Not sure if it would completely stop it though and effect the effectivness of it.

Just back from Scunthorpe for the weekend………..highlight of the trip – going to a large garden centre.

We looked up things to do in scunthorpe when we arrived at my mates house – only had three things on the first link – one was to go to a pub with a kids play area, second was a pottery place that was closed and third was another pub with play area.

Cheek barsteward took us to a garden centre and amused himself as a tour guide of it.

the neighbour gave me one of These for my Golf 130 TDi last night and it makes a huge difference to power, absolutely flies now. Cant comment on economy yet but not disappointed!

I would remove that before it knacks your engine. It just tricks the engine into dumping more fuel in, that is it. Total waste of time.

THey phoned me one Sunday evening at 9:30. I pointed out that it was a bit late to be calling and maybe they should fark off.

Another one called on Monday at 5:30. Telling me that I had been with BT a while (6months he didn’t know this) and I should change to some new call plan which would suit me better. I asked him what I had spent in the last month on calls, he didn’t know, I asked him how long I had been with BT, he said at least a year. He told me I would benefit greatly from having friends and family nad it would reduce my bills by a lot. I asked him how he knew who I called.

I then told him that they had called at 9:30 the night before and that was taking the piss. He agreed. He then tried to get me to take broadband. I would be able to download at 100mbit. I told him that was great, would that mean my emails came faster. He said I could watch TV online. I told him I had a TV in the house and it worked just fine.

Eventually after 20 minutes or so he agreed that he would have me removed from the call list and not to be bothered again.

And so far he has kept to his word.

150 is more prone to cam failure.
130 is better but still has it.
100 is slower, but a 300 quid remap will get you 140

I know of a Bora 150 Sport with 98k for sale in Newcastle. Nice motor.

Just make sure you change the oil regularly and with proper VW specced oil and it should be grand.

The student who is covered in fake tan kicking off again this morning because I refused again to let her wander around the room pestering people and placed her in my HOCA’s room after being told she can do what the fark she wants.

She upset what was then a rather stable moment for that group.

Anyway, at least I get the pleasure of knowing that she won’t be in my lessons next week or any others, she will instead be in the unit for the week after kicking of with my HOCA as well.

Hitting targets is a normal part of satisfactory performance in most jobs.

So it’s not automatic, as said by another poster.

    Xylene

How many other posts automatically move you up a pay scale every year?

I wish I worked at that school. Here I have to hit targets within and outisde the classroom to get moved up a paygrade.

Oops, have I shattered another teacher illusion?

He was talking about wear in the ‘pins’ that made them wobble in the bearings.

I presume it must be the bolts.

I like the bikeshop as well, so may have to pop back to get this cleared up.

    1Gbps

I had a 100mbps line in my apartment there in 2003. 8 years ago.

How many people in the UK now have access to 100mbps line at home?

Nowhere I can think of in KOrea did anybody have to endure sub 1mbps lines, like we do here in the sticks of the UK.

My last apartment there, up in the wilds of the mountains, had a fibre optic line into my house delivering me TV, internet and phone.

The UK is an absolute disgrace when it comes to it’s Internet setup

I teach a few kids who are nine months apart, some in the same class.

All of them are pretty crappy students overall with issues.

A well aimed **** best describes them really.

As for the bar, I take it I’m just being cynical then about the whole thing……nothing new there then.

Instead of sorting it out privately, the two of you aired your dirty washing for all to see.

Not exactly what most prospective customers want to see from a business, although it does appear to be the thing to do for small bike related business’s on here.

I suggest you request a threadlock and let it vanish into obscurity.

Hopefully they aren’t going to try and put Mr Murray out of business.

I’m sure the first lot of Wanga’s they had in the UK were steel.

My one is an original import from years ago, I think cycle surgery imported them.

Are you ordering a steel Wanga from overseas RoCkEtDoG?
