Mainly because I was concerned that the school secret santa wasn’t on track and I was going to have students without gifts. Now while I would advocate students learning the hard lessons of life, the moaning I would receive from entitled mums and dads would be too much for my Christmas spirit to bear.

So I bought 5. Never needed them in the end, so gave 4 to the students that pulled off the christmas party and kept one.

I’ve now discovered giving our 31/2 year old girl the selfie stick, my phone and the remote when I need her to be occupied for ten minutes when we are out places is a fantastic way to capture some strange images of her, although I think the 25 shot rapid fire more is overused by her a bit.

Having just put my phone in my wet swimming shorts pocket and found it dead after being in there for a few minutes, I have a feeling my plans have changed, unless that bag of rice saves the day.

I hope it has a surveillance camera watching it that is live feeding to the police you going up and repeatedly eyeing it up, checking out the height to see if pooing in it requires a step ladder or not, climbing in to see if you can hide inside it,

We did something similar to this.

Pulled the insulation through.

Got that stuff that comes in the silver rods all sealed up.

Cut an opening at one end of the ceiling and another at the other end. Put a cable though and pulled the funds of insulation through carefully. It worked.

Replaced the bits we cut badly. Framed the roof of. Put in 2inch insulation board and the finished with those slot together ceilings.

Looked OK. Totally changed the bathroom extension

If you are walking around with a screaming baby at 3am. They cut down on the screaming and make it bearable. Certainly reduced the stress for me when I did walk around duty.

They are also great if you are working and need to sleep through a feed.

A 4 pound smart phone case and mount from ebay

Then when I bodged it, the case holding my note 2 let go and deposited it on the road.

My electric plane terrified me and excited me at the same time. \

First time eve I gave my bike to a shop. The back brake was squeaking, I didn’t have time to work out why, and I needed the wheels trued as well.

Cost me about 4 quid for both wheels trued and my caliper realligned.

IIn about an hour I should be racing in my second race ever, having enjoyed the first race a few weeks ago.

but I’m not. I’m in bed with my daughters cold. Came on full force last day of term as I was stood there waving the boarding students away, excited about the weekend of riding.

No my lungs are full of sandpaper, snot is dribbling out my nose, and I’m doing those weird smelling shits I do when I have a cold.

Mrs Q will be getting nowt, other than coming on holiday to the beach for 10 days or so. Much like last few years where we went back to Thailand to see her folks, that was the present, no need to change it now we have relocated here.

If she is lucky we might have a post meal in a fish restaurant so I can spend the night gagging and she can eat stinking fish, I can feel myself wanting to boke now, so that might not happen.

I worked with a farm technician who caught everything under the sun, and she was made to do the return to work thing regularly, school couldn’t get shot of her as she was fantastic at what she did, but she appeared to catch diseases from everything.

Same school, there was a member of staff, more senior, who returned to work about twice a year, at the start of the year, then just before Christmas, rest of the time he was ‘sick’. Had done it for years

Denon plus a few others do proprietary wireless setups with USB.

I gave up pissing about with it, and currently have my satellte tuner outputting via anologue to the amp, to play mp3.

I’ve considered using the optical out and a FiLO DAC

Lots of different Bluetooth Dacs but if your macbook doesn’t meet the fancy standard you get losses.

Last Friday a really angry parent tried to punch me.

He drove into the school at an excesive speed in his Mercedes v8 Coupe thing, span his wheels on the school roundabout before driving into a parking space.

I’m on a bit of a crusade just now to stop parents driving like morons at school, so went to speak to him, he tried to argue he had been driving normally, i repeated it was too fast for our school, he wound the window up angrily.

Walked back to school entrance, where I heard the car engine revving, he pulled out, wheelspan down the drive, lost it on the roundabout, had to back up, powerslide around the roundabout and back to his parking space….in front of kids and parents.

Two ways to handle it – leave it, lose face, speak to him again, he loses face – better for one parent to lose face than all of them see me with no backbone

Went towards the car, when this man mountain appeared swearing at me and swinging. My security team pretty much need zimmer frames to get anywhere. Fortunately my boarding staff are large, and they through themselves in front of him.

Lots of calm talk from me, inviting him in to sit and explain why he is so upset, he just kept trying to hit me. some point he did manage to get a punch through to my back.

Security, plus boarding, and two other teachers, managed to get the angry man back to his car, and wait for his very embarrassed daughter.

Won a lot of parental support that day. A lot of negative talk from the local staff who don’t like the way I do things, and support from those that do.

If you are going to ruin your reputation in Thailand try and hit the head of the school. Even being a rich parent doesn’t remove you from that.
