When I was in Australia, I remember stepping over a long thick stick outside my van door, that hadn’t been there when I parked, which suddenly moved and slithered off. Huge long brown thing it was, hostel guy reckoned it was a king brown. He said they were prevelant then, that spooked me a bit.

Had a lairy huge centipede a few weeks ago giving it the big one in the road – they scare me.

It was you with the rodent in the loft wasn’t it?

There may be a snake up there already, given we found a snake skin in the house a few months ago after being away.

Feeling whisky tired in the morning, followed by driving to the MIL to marvel at how all the in-laws shout at each other to communicate.

^ No – the ride started off badly enough after pumping my tire up to 90psi, turning my back on it for the tube to blow, not sure which scared me more, banging tire or coming out of a daydream to realise I was about to run over a snake,.

nearly three times as long on charge for surface pro 3 on 8.1 than windows 10 – something is amiss here.

On my laptop it is great, on my surface pro 3, it has killed my battery, killed my split screen and basically turned it a bit crap.

Hopefully I can get back to 8.1 with a refresh. Hopefully.

Yup it was chilly last night, slept under the duvet, must have been 20 degrees.

Rain has cooled it down nicely, high of 32 expected today.

Last time I was there for a conference, my boss, dear god she was mental, during a drunken rant, dared me to wind up some guy she was talking to and wasn’t enjoying his company.

I made some inappropriate comments about the four floors, and tried to egg him on to go, he got really miffed with me and eventually told me piss off, and he went home.

Didn’t know he was one of the big boys of the conference – woops. Haven’t seen him again yet, hopefully won’t.

I can make BigEareds pick but can’t get the X4 online, AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core 3.5GHz Black Edition AM3+ (FD8320FRHKBOX) is available.

Works out at 500 quid with 8.1 so I should be able to haggle it down in the shop a bit.

the FX-8320 works out about twice as much as the one in BigEars setup.

No decisions as of yet – still looking at what it will cost to build locally.

<My Scottish blood runs thick and spending cash is always tough – other than those odd spur of the moment things that catch me by surprise.

Disclosure Scotland will give you a basic one

International Child Protection Certificate from https://www.acro.police.uk

    or similar.

In my experience disclosure scotland are fast, and have been accepted by several countries that I have needed to apply with.

However, some countries, if you are working with kids, require ICPC if you are from the UK.

I’ve been around the shops today asking at a couple for build prices.

For around 320 GBP AMD A10 8GB 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD , some fancy power supply and keyboard and mouse.

    For 420GBP
    – I5 4690 8GB mini ITX cube case – same ssd and hdd + GT730 2G DR3

However, having sat here and read this, it makes me wonder if I should get the I3 powered Nuc or similar, and a console.

Whoever it was thaqt had about the 3GFX.

I had the competitor to Voodoo for a couple of days, but it was so bad, with no pass through cable, that I took it back to Game and changed it for a Voodoo 1, with I think, 16mb ram.

^ Last time I built a PC was when Voodoo still used pass through cables and everything was single core.

I will look at the Tom’s hardware. I had given it a go reading some basic builds, but decided it would be more efficient to ask the hive mind here for some real life advice.

I did consider simply getting a dirt cheap Win 8.1 media centre for home use and simply trying to play falout and any games that come out on my Surface.

    A day of reading ahead.

I liked the small coolmaster boxes I saw yesterday which were about a foot cubed.

What you don;t want to do is put too many in one bottle, create a solution which is no longer isotonic, and results in burning for the back of your throat. That would be a really stupid thing to do. Especially if it was purely becaue after having added the sample pack of super duper high caffeine no carb elecotrlyte, you found three more high caffeine content tablets in the box and decided to just throw them in as well.

^^ I wish it was appropriate to unleash the torrent of stuff that I know about her, the schools, and what happened there.

It would be worth while to be watching the papers closely to see how the council react. They have a few secrets that they hope can go away now.

Put it this way, Lakey loved to abuse her power, whether it was with young boys, or making her staff have breakdowns that was her thing. She was abusive and manipulative with adults and kids.

It wasn’t the teaching methods that got the grades up in the school.

    I worked under her.

I have wanted to post about this for a long time, but didn’t feel it was appropriate. I had an inside line to it all for a considerable time before any annoucnments were made on why she was suspended.

The news articles never mention the two school’s are in special measures now. I have so many bad stories about the place and it’s practices.

There are people who are delighted she is banged up because she was a total twunt to everybody. The council is happy too, as they can sweep a rather large defecit for the schools under the carpet now and pretend it didn’t happen.

    Suspended for 2 1/2 years on 100k+

It was the night before 19th June 2015 and all through the house.

Not a creature moved, not even a white oriental squirrel.

Either I have a dead squirrel up there in a trap, a live one in a humane trap or the disturbing of the roof and placing of traps has made it leave.

I would be happier with a dead squirrel.

If that is all you worry about for your school, fantastic. You would not believe the madness I hear about from parents.

I’ve found out today, that even though I have a child who hasn’t paid all year, we can’t simply kick him out due to strong education laws, we instead have to sue the family.

    Madness.

Gonzy – many years ago, while I was living a slightly wilder life than I do now, my mate, Ama, told me that he was doing Ramadan, and I should do it as well, it would benefit me.

So I laid off the drink and partying, ate only after sunset, although i did drink water, and went to uni everyday. Ama, did the same, other than going to uni, instead he stayed up all night, and went to bed in the morning, cheating git.

It was a terrible month, no sleep as my body tried to detox, hungry, fairly grumpy and wondered at the number of people doing it around the world.

Felt better at the end of it, and enjoyed being part of the feast with his family, and the visit to the mosque a couple of times was odd, but very accepting, as he explained what I was doing and why.

    Anyway, good luck.
