There is a shake chain in Newcastle, was down the west end, and metro centre, where they charge to put various chocolate bars or snacks into a blender with milk.

Nobody has protested against them, and they make lovely shakes but cost a fortune in comparison to buying a pint of milk, and chewing up a mars bar while drinking.

Same idea as buying cereal but without the protests.

I don’t really get it, if you don’t want to buy the service or product don;’t. Saying that, being off your tits at 6am and being able to buy a bowl of easily stomachable cereal is a great idea.

Out of my small staff, i have a couple of Christians – one a church goer, who isnt quite sure he understands what he believes in, but it helps him, the other two fundamentalist Christians, with two kids in school who are batshit mental.

After the Nepalese earthquake, fundamentalist Christian told other Christian that it was god’s will all the people had died. Other Christian went ballistic at him and how he could be so insensitive and clueless.

edit – he isn;t batshit due to being a Christian, just due to being clueless, God must have blinked when he sprinkled savvy and common sense onb the family

Thankfully this happened no where near me, and I didn’t have to reprimand either of them for it.

Is the number of Syrian refugees in the UK a big concern for people who live in Thailand?

    Yes, thanks.

Being out of the UK means that what information i get is via newspapers and the internet. If i was still working in the uk i coild still have the pleasure of listening to the bigotted comments of my colleagues, students and parents or the more accepting ones of my friends.

Small village pub. Regional CAMRA pub of the year. 14 hand-pulled real ales at the bar – selection changes every week, but many are from breweries within a few miles. Most are £2 to 2.50

    In Wylam?

Local beer is Chang or Leo so dirt cheap.

Local ‘craft beers’ imported are around 6quid a pint

Couple of years back in Singapore at a conference, I bought four large bottles of beer in a hoteal bar, and on returning home, realised that the bill came to just under a hundred quid. So nearly 25 quid a pint.

If you need to plug your goodies, use a vicks vapostick tube, and not a kinder egg shell.

A couple of vaposticks slide in and out easily, kinder eggs can pop open and then you find out their edges are quite sharp, or so I am told.

Vapostick tubes screw together as well, unlike chapsticks which look similar but again can separate if your are unlucky, or lucky depending on what is being absorbed by your bum.

Plucking would have taken hours, it would appear a small jungle had erupted out of both nostrils since I last looked in the mirror two weeks ago.

Is there a growth calculation relating to age I can carry out to work out how much they will grow and set a reminder in my filofax to trim them?

Driving here isn’t as bad as it is made out. Even Bangkok is relatively easy to drive through, just a busy city with bad signage, and bizarre one way systems.

Sukothai and Ayuthia are nice, if you are into ruins and all that, take a look at Phimhai, a nice little sleepy town.

If you want to go off the beaten path, Loei province is really nice, up by the Maekhong, go to Chiang Khan town, head up the mountains.

Head west into Tak province and there is a huge waterfall there that is a days elephant trek away in the wet season

You shouldn’t need an IDP if you have a uk photo card license, haven’t needed them for a while now, although I know lots of tourists like to have them.

Get a car and go explore makes life so much easier on holiday here.
