22degreea in the morning here just now, it’s lovely peaks about 35 in the day.

Humidity isn’t too bad around 80% or so, probably due a rain today.

Haven’t used the AC more than three times in the last three years.

Life in the mountains is certainly more pleasant than our house in the city.

Southland was a fantastic show, not quite at Wire level, but the characters and plot worked well.

Can’t forget the ever ridiculous The Shield.

Road conditions are good, drivers around not so, rampaging elephants less so.

Some bits don’t quite look as daunting on Strava, as they are in real life, sharp hairpin bends.

I aim to do it soon. I think a year living 1km from the start is poor show really.

Trying to work out if I should buy a 34t chainring just for this and future endeavors.

It could very easily have been someone going downhill very slowly that the rider ran into the back of.

Would he he still feel they are fault then?

We, as mountain bikers, need to stop being so subservient.

I nearly hit a guy that looked like Jesus on the Powerline at Chopwell woods. He was just walking up the with his long hair, beard and sandals right in the middle.

Saw him a second time doing the same thing a while later, I guess it was his thing.

As for the crash video – unless that was private land, with fences down each side stopping traffic, you still have to take care.

My wife does it, as do a large number of the population here.

I hate it, not as much as rustling plastic bags, but not far off.

I walked into the end of a barbell, cock first and floored myself. Full on stomach churning vomit inducing pain.

I then went on holiday for a week with a mate who was in Thailand.

After a few days at the beach, I had to admit to my mate, that I was concerned the blow to my nuts had done some damage, one was very tender and swollen. So off I went to the local private hospital on the island.

It was very busy, and full of western couples, all looking ill. I had to tell the receptionist I had a problem with my man parts, and they were very painful.

She handed me a large A4 book with photos of STDs in it asked me to look through it and see if I could identify my problem….I was given this large colour book, right next to a very prim and proper couple, whose wife had just fallen off a motorbike.

To make matters worse, she ushered me away from the desk to sit with the other patients, whilst clutching this, by that time A1 sized book of infected cocks.

Then to have to go into the doctors room, have a really pretty doctor fondle my balls, give me some antibiotics just in case I had managed to get an infection, and told me to come back in a week if the swelling hadn’t gone down.

AND THEN, have to walk back out with a cup to piss in to check for blood in front of the same people who had seen me go in having been made to hold the book of gory cocks in front of them all.

Horrific. Gave up exercising shortly after that.

^ IB is a fantastic course.

I’ve spent a bit of this morning looking at UK boarding school pages, to see what they offer, the costs, and any terms they have.

Being based in Germany are there any opportunities for host families in neighbouring countries. The International School of the Hague is a fantastic school, and if you could place your daughter with a host family there, she would have the opportunity to attend an amazing school.

^ What is the point after a ride though – you can’t just jump in filthy, you have to wash, then get in the hot tub.

    Think of your carbon footprint.

I run a boarding school, outside of the UK.

If you are planning on sending her to the UK to board, prices are steep for a decent school, and it does come down to that, are you prepared to pay for the best, or financially do you need to settle for something in the middle in the UK.

If you were to still look internationally, you will get more for your money.

Rugby, and I believe Wellington, are opening schools in Thailand this year. Both are relatively expensive – I think Rugby is going to be around 700kTHB + 500kB boarding per year – in effect 28k GBP, but in a school with brand new facilities.

Harrow Bangkok, which is well established will set you back 1.2MTHB for full boarding.

If you still keep an international perspective on things, your daughter can remain in an education system she is used to, with a mix of people from around the world, which I assume she is used to as well.

UWCA in Singapore is hugely expensive ~50kGBP per year full boarding, but is/was one of the best schools in the world.

Closer to home, there are some very good international boarding schools in India, and Europe.

Do you owe in your hot tub?

    not having enough bromine

I had to dispose of 500g of bromine once where there were no hazardous waste companies available, and even if there were it had been smuggledd into the country by Chinese man called Frank in the boot of his car so we couldn’t have used them.

It keeps trying to have me sent to jail by posting up things about the royal family that would have be charged with Les majeste here.

The last.king dies, I read a few.aticles.on him, Google Now thinks because I was interested in thstz I’m interested in all royal stuff, and now sends shit through that would get me 15 years in jail. Thanks Google

Don;t cut the protective plastic wrap off with the curved carpet knife you bought to make fitting easier.

The really really really sharp one, the one that is so sharp, that maybe you didn’t notice that it can slice through not only plastic, but two layers of carpet. Now it was cheap carpet, to do a back bedroom, but still,

Are the handrails on stairs to be held going, up, down or both? What if someone is coming the opposite way?

I’ve never heard this rule before, so I am quite perplexed that adults have to be told how to use the stairs properly.

What is the limitation for what one can carry up the stairs? If I carry a laptop bag in my hand is that allowed or do I need to use the shoulder strap?

There was a Siobhan in my form at college and in our first lesson, the teacher was reading the register and pronounced it “Sigh-oh-barn”

There was a really snooty girl at university who when we did the meet and greet at the first opening lectures was not best pleased when I said “What sort of name us sio-bHan?

Unfortunately, my stupidity was over-ruled by her outright snootyness, and her new nickname stuck to her. It could easily have become my nickname had she not had a personality like a pet stone.

Wolfgang – wolfgang was a nightmare coming out of his mum, he cried for the first 18months solid, and as I understand it today is still a nightmare at 6 years old.

Bet they wished they had called him Steve.

I taught a PTR – pronounced Peter – dad had apparently done to many e’s in his youth. as you can imagine PTR was a LTTL SHT
