They are fed up with poor parking, its a singletrack road and people tend to park in the passing spots. It's a private road also and they probably pay upkeep on the road so will be keen to stop usage. would suggest you use the railway station 1 min away.

I bought a road BB (not shimano) a while back, all fitted etc but the cups were not up to the job. Separated them at the end of the threads in about 2 weeks. They looked a lot thinner

It's a complete arse that you can get simple spares. If it's the same as fox then try a 'gonzo valve', also Some of the MX shops carry all the spares and many are common.

They really arnt that hard to service yourself if only you could get the spares… Really resent paying £100for a service to replace a 1p o-ring.

Out of warranty or not they should try and help you out. New ones have big gussets in that area…

You could try a repair but you will need to know the Al grade for the post weld heat treat. I wouldn't as its very likely to fail again.

    That's about to let go…
I would try the importer as the warranty is good even for SH bikes

    2 reasons for a creak.

I had an overlong rear dropout nut that wouldn't tighten down, this caused a real bad creak. Check that the bolts are tight and when done up they should not spin in the frame. Had to file down the nut to cure.

The pivot bearings can come loose, the one at the top of the shock is a good place to start looking. Simply tighten to remove the creaking. There is a guide on the Marin Web site.

Never got spc and tubeless to work for the same reason. Try a DPC minion front on the rear for a fast rolling tyre. I find a high roller a bit of a drag.

put an claim form into the drivers insurance company. Tell them you want paying now or you will go and see a solicitor. Fees will probably exceed the cost of the bike so if its only the bike you need, the insurance company will be wise to pay up quickly…

The rear dropout dowel nuts were a smidge too long on mine so the didnt quite pinch down right. When you tighten them down do the still spin? If so file them down…

Need a bit more info but sounds like you have lost oil from the damper. take off the air can and pull the dmper back and forward, should all run smooth.
