malwarebytes, superantispyware and spybot s&d usually detect/remove pretty much all malware/spyware between them (as long as they’re up to date and your “infection” isn’t preventing you from installing/updating them).
if you see anywhere that advises you to use Combofix, be wary… it’s good, but VERY powerful if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing and i’ve seen people kill their OS with it.

did you actually eat the meal that had these chillies in it too, because if the oil was potent enough to burn your skin then god help you if you got it on any mucus membranes…

seriously, i’ve not come across chilli oil potent enough to burn just by getting it on intact skin surfaces. this must have been pretty lethal…

Junkyard, I was thinking the same. Surely there are shedloads more veggie ladies to men? One thing that is universal, women don’t like a guy who thinks the world has beaten him or is out to get him. Girls like positivity whether they like ‘meat’ in them or not (sniggers).

Plus you live in the ideal location. Stop beating yourself up. Sheesh I still miss my ex and Im often moved to poetry thinking about her but shes the past. The memories are dear and very fond.

    you’d think, wouldn’t you?
well, it seems not. i really don’t know what i did (or am doing) wrong. but it seems i’m just not someone that ladies want to get to know. and right now, it’s tearing me apart.
i fully expect to get a slagging off or whatever on here, but i really don’t have anybody i can talk to about this stuff and i feel pretty much as low as i ever have done.
    **** this life. seriously.

with regard to the trials chaps, it was mostly just cos my mate has only just started riding his bike properly offroad and today was only his second ride anywhere ‘decent’, and he felt a little bit intimidated by the sound of revving engines i think… but yeah, they didn’t really spoil the riding or anything and there was generally a good vibe up there all morning i felt.
and yeah ed, i agree that half the fun of the place is scoping out all the different little lines and pieces you can play about on.

yeah it was good to bump into you chaps today… my bike doesnt want me to do the climbs there very much though (although i’m getting better all the time)… the newer red stuff in the middle (those berms and what have you)- too much fun.
shame about the motorbike trials there today though.
had plenty of chickpea burgers and cous cous salad and non-alcoholic kopparberg at my mate’s bbq this evening and i’m ready to go back up there now actually!

non-alcoholic kopparberg (tastes like liquified pear drops!), home made pizza and grand designs on more4 (for some reason, half my freeview channels stopped working this afternoon but since almost everything on telly is crap anyway then that’s fine!)

ah, you’ve misunderstood me a little… she moved out a couple of months ago and we aren’t together, BUT she told me (and tells me) it was because she didn’t want to be with anyone and that we may still have something in the future. but i know that part of this isn’t true, so i suspect that none of it is and she is only saying it for an easy life for her… trouble is, we have the same friends and to be honest she and i are still friends too (we still ride together every week or so)…
it’s a nightmare because when you’re 40+ and you’re vegan, don’t drink or smoke and play on big kids bikes for fun then most other people think you’re a complete weirdo so i suspect that unless i compromise my beliefs (which isn’t going to happen), then that’s me done…

i’m going up with a mate tomorrow at about 10am, and probably meeting up with junkyard, lowey and someone else there…

    xherbivorex

of course, the risk involved in talking to her to see why she’s doing this is that you could end up just being a doormat, letting her do what she wants in the (probably) vain hope that you may salvage a future with her… that’s kind of where i am at the moment, and although there’s no kids involved i still feel like crap every single day knowing that she’s going on dates and enjoying herself while i’m cast aside (it’s left me with seriously low self-esteem, i really cannot see what i have to offer anyone at all these days)…

“watched” the first one. well, began to ignore it after 10 mins or so as it was as awful as the trailers suggested…
the “new totty” was big suze off peep show, and yes. very fine.

you can clearly see mud on my bike too. fresh mud. in the process of being added to, in a somewhat manly way.

well, it’s an air shock so i guess it shouldn’t be in here, but whatever. my norco six 2 (and my stupid face)…

    xherbivorex

matt, the hole is for the boost chamber on the shock to fit into, supposedly. so it doesn’t hit the tube. or something.

that may well be, i’d be going pretty early (like 10am or so i reckon) if i end up going because i need to be back to go to this party thing for 4ish.
i’ll mail you later from home cos i can’t get into my hotmail/gmail at work…

i’d like to think that one day at least someone will shout “nnnneeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyoooowwwwwwwmmmmmmmm” as they hurtle past, like you did when you were a little kid pretending to be a racing car. or at least, that’s what richard roberts used to do. but he also ate worms and dog poo.

yeah, it’s ideal really. pretty central for getting to so many great riding spots…
not sure on the racing. i’m very unfit. possibly going to enter the STW classic weekender though…

saturday, not sure- maybe a trip to lee quarry. my band is playing a gig at the packhorse in leeds6 on saturday night.
sunday, early morning blast around delamere forest with a mate who’s just getting into biking. easter party thingy at a friend’s on sunday night.
monday, going back to delamere to possibly lead a ride for part of the manchester bike festival, quite looking forward to that as hopefully there’s gonna be lots of people new to it who’ll get hooked.

oh yeah, and the company i work for has a turnover of £30m, employs 350 staff but has made a loss or broke even for the past year and a quarter… so i do know there’s a difference.
    but thanks brant.

funnily enough, i’m not one of the howies haters. i’ve bought a hell of a lot of their stuff and will no doubt buy more. which is why i said “or was it?” in my initial post…
i’m well aware that in the vast majority of cases, ethics and business growth tend to be somewhat incompatible. and no, i don’t have any solutions or suggestions for an alternative way of growing. but i stand by my point, which is that i still think it’s a shame they had to take money from who they did, purely based on the apparent juxtaposition of both companies’ ethics…
it’s reasonable to expect coca cola to attempt to acquire them because that’s what they do, same as pretty much any area of business… the bigger boys want to get the smaller (but possibly high achieving/niche market/forward thinking) ones…

and at the moment, if i lose my job to be honest i’ll miss both elements you suggested. it’s a small company struggling to hold its own in a dying market, against bigger ones with more capability to ride storms such as the current one we’re in. and i love working here partly because of that.
prior to this, i worked for one of the biggest companies on the planet (IBM) and it was horrendous.

    xherbivorex

    wow.

actually, i’m sat here facing redundancy.
and no, i have never set up my own business, but how exactly does that mean that i’m not able to feel a bit saddened that a company that always claimed to have such strong ethics has sold a stake to a company who have consistently proved themselves to be amongst the least ethical companies on the entire planet?
i think it’s you that needs to grow up and get a little bit of perspective mate.
innocent are hardly struggling. turnover of £100m? yes, they want to grow and expand into europe but i just wonder if they could have done so without resorting to taking money from a company that (at one point) were trying to buy an entire country’s water supply whilst the people that lived there were dying of thirst?

chopwell woods isn’t too far from there, and it’s apparently decent.
other side of newcastle though, so probably about 5 or 6 miles inland from whitley bay.

oh yeah, with the matamp, i know that they’re listed on the matamp site for £299 new but i heard that they’re all sold out now anyway.
but they make seriously amazing amps, those chaps.

look for a Matamp little rock, second hand.
4W max but it has THE best tone you will EVER hear from a small amp.
should be able to pick one up for around £250-£300, but they rarely come up since they’re that good…

i’m not entirely sure what you mean by ‘agricultural’ mark, but my 55 ATA2s on the norco are fantastic. really plush and smooth; i’m just waiting for the day when they break but 3 year warranty means i’m not that worried about that.
they felt great on a couple of the loose rocky descents around marple with the nbts yesterday.

    xherbivorex

BH- yeah, i’m sure i could. i’d like to ride *that* descent in’t dark (or dusk, at least); i bet it would be fun. we’ll make plans for next week?

tony- on the first southmanchestermassive ride i went on, i made them wait for me at the end of a couple of miles of old railway sleepers (on a stiffee=no fun at all) that very nearly finished me off!

i’d just like to meet more people and ride more. but i get really anxious about it because i generally lack fitness to the point where i convince myself i won’t be able to do most peoples’ rides, so most of the time i don’t bother.
it’s stupid, and something i am addressing.
so hopefully i’ll get to meet more of you than the ones i know already (binners, hora, nbt, bunnyhop, marin maketh the man)… wanna meet sfb (if only to meet someone else who is drug free, meat free but even more annoying online than i used to be myself!), ton (strikes me as being a seriously top fella) and plenty more…
