I looked at and drove the iQ and the Smart CDi, I went for the Smart in the end because i. the iQ is so damned ugly. ii. the fuel economy is better in the Smart.

    2nd a smart fortwo :)

Slight problem liked them too much and went for a brabus which isn’t clever on fuel but a very fun drive :) with bike on the back too!!

I’m not sure if it was their fault or my insurance but they were not the best when I asked for the cash settlement.. lost out some much decided had to take the bike they were offering which was a massive downgrade and ended up selling it to make my money back….

They were quick with the replacement bike but was no great shakes put together!!

TBH Oakleys just ain’t “cool” anymore, expensive yes, but they have become one of the most conspicuous displays of wealth you can choose even their more “understated” designs are a bit obvious (IMO of course), Obviously the F1 fan-boys and russian mafia don’t think they look like tools, but they do…

If actually looking cool is what you are after try looking at some other less “New Money” brands like, Smith, Bolle or Bloc…

And yeah try before you buy!

lol… the above brands you have just mentioned all imitate anything Oakley brings out!!!

Can’t rate oakley enough for the products they offer!!! and have a few but mixing a sports shades for everyday really doesn’t work.. but you could at a push as some have mentioned go for a subtle colour/lens??

    Cheers guys…

Only just seen your message Napalm… thanks for the offer but found swinnerton cycles selling them at just over 50quid and couldn’t help myself :)

As you I normally use bottles but have a enduro 100mile race in Spain in May so felt the needed to bag up!!!

It arrived yesterday and very impressed so far and tightening the ball joint you can def stiffen or loosen the movement in the shoulder straps and makes the whole thing very comfy on your back :)

YES totally brilliant…. its the right way…

Climbing with tension on the chain you release the cable rather than pulling when shifting… just makes for a more precision smooth change…. then when going downhill can change a least 3 gears in 1 shift (triggers that is)

worried they will not carry on with it because think they are ACE :)

    Phototim

Do you reckon this would be the same with the small pack or is this because yours is carrying more?

So if the waist strap is on quite tight it wouldn’t swivel??

    Would you recommend them?

    Cheers Stu

tons of colour options to choose, different plug options for ears and nice carry case!!!

google – prices seem to be knocking around 30-35quid so change from your 50 :)

I have a set of the xtr’s on the HT and the power is something else.. I also have a pair of tech2 (good price at Merlin) on the full sus and would also recommend on performance and looks but the xtr edge it if had to pick :)
