I’m insured with Admiral and they are the most unprofessional outfit I have ever come across! Was involved with some wildlife early this year and had to have some repairs (new bumper) used their approved garage and its been back 3 times to get the job done properly (over a month without my car) last time they returned my car they were caught speeding in it!!! To put it mildly I wasn’t best pleased!!

What ever you do don’t let Admiral repair your car!!!!

    Donk –

Those portland design works ones look well sturdy, i presume they are bike specific tho…?

Not that I’m aware but they are not cheap and had to fudge them on due to the bike having disc brakes… Very sturdy being alloy too!

Was just behind a guy in a Beyond Bikes jersey? Who crashed below the cottage bit and thought he had bust his collar bone .A girl stopped to help and someone pushed his bike back while I went to call a medic .Does anyone know who and how he is ?

Edric.. That would be my race partner for Bonty :)

Had to take Roy to A&E that evening and after x-rays he was turned away with just painkiller as had ruptured a tendon in his shoulder that requires surgery closer to home!!! Now home been told a week before he can be operated on!!!!???

Ah we were riding well in mens pairs 12 but my right hand man had such a heavy crash resulting in him rupturing a tendon in his shoulder ;-/

Spent most of late sat eve in A&E to be told they couldn’t do much for him as needs surgery!!

Must say really enjoyed the event this year and the course was so nice and fast!!! excellent work once again..

I normally start at the Denbies vineyard in Dorking (easy parking if in a car and free) and cycle up towards Ranmore and then do a loop to peaslake, leigh hill and back!

We have 2 Alfa’s at the moment :)

Lovely cars to drive and the comments you get from total strangers!! One note if your buying secondhand to do your homework on services and how well they have been treated… My 159 2.0 has had a few hiccups and the DPF has now been removed and mapped due to the previous owner choking it up ;-/

I’m actually pretty gutted missing this one this year.. new baby due the week after and couldn’t risk letting the team down…

Shame the weather is turning as always.. sure will be much better than eastnor for damp conditions!!

Noticed on the emails from organiser they are advising not to follow your tom toms when close to the event!!

Recently became an Alfa owner but in the 159 ti sportwagon flavour… Love it to bits the bikes only go on the outside haha… It has the slightly newer 2.0 170bhp instead of the 1.9 or 2.4…. Better gear box and (touchwood) a lot less reports of issues with the DPF which the 1.9 does suffer!!!

Alfa forum is also a great place for finding common fault to look out for when buying etc!!

Best Estate I’ve owned but it is my first haha… Bikes stay on the outside mind as way too nice inside! All the kit and crap in the boat! So lovely to drive and imo looks the nuts :)

I used to live in Ramsbottom, Lancs and moved down south 5years ago.. It will be a culture shock and quite a bit different cycling down here!! Work in the city but def won’t recommend living there!! horrible place imo :)

Get more for your buck further you go out of town!!! Lived in Kingston and now further a field in Chertsey and cycle to work or use the scooter when tired :) Swinley, Peaslake, South Downs, Chilterns all easy to get too and some nice cycling!

Also joined West Drayton Mountain Bike Club and one of the best things I have done regarding mountain biking down south.. load of trips in UK and aboard, local rides, racing mtb & road… you name it they do it

Found them to be totally S@*t!!

Over the years foolishly made probably 4 orders and out of 4 zero product and an array of excuses and delayed money refunds!!

rjhazell .. You order a blue breath.. get a life in maroon!! if your happy far play… one of the few to get an order honoured even though it wasn’t what you ordered first!
