Emma.. Have been to Morzine and Les Gets… still alive 😉

No arm or leg pads.. Normal Helmet.. 180/160 mono mini brakes and a xc santa cruz 4" travel and 120mm forks… and was perfectly fine on all of the runs!

Only thing maybe to consider is getting a good set of tyres for the job

I live in Kingston and Peaslake or Swinley forest are pretty much the local trails and surprisingly have some hills 😉 Some great singletrack to be had at both!

Was in the same place as you last year but snapped my achilles…. Before you know it you will back on the bike… as njee20 at least you can keep your legs turning on a turbo to keep fit?

Hope the arm gets better soon…

Great stuff used all winter too and the chain stays super clean 😉

same note a foxyrider… bit on the side of chain stops any rust!

not the best image but shows the cable route which do seem to be carbon rather than alloy like the ones on the rear stay

    xcstu

Oh currently my only other solution is new shimano cables again ;-/

not great when they don't last even a year compared to my other bike that has gore cables that are still going smooth after 4years of heavy riding ;-(

Algore – Well this is what I thought…

Yes it does run almost continuous outers except for a short break on the rear stay…
Its a 09 S works HT and had the Shimano gear cables on.

Gore cables I have are fully sealed version… So the none seal low friction version are thinner are they?

    xcstu

yep that will be the one's.. and they are even quite snug!

    xcstu

Did think of that for a second… but with it being a carbon frame and the mounts look so thin in the first place ;-/

finding it odd that they have designed it to take very thin cables instead of the standard width???

RR most def pisses all over standard mech shifting.. ace 😉

Best grease going Phil Wood Grease…

High recommend the ck bb too… worth the fork out to begin… smooth as a babies bottom…

Oldgit – Been quite impressed with the rocket ron..

come up a bit narrow but with the weather being so crap I have only been able to try them out in mud/wet at the moment…

Same camp as oldgit – Racing Ralph on both bikes all year… been surprised how well they have coped 😉 just started trying a rocket ron on the front…

I do like to change tyres mind for racing.. Between panaracer razors, nobby nics, trailrakers and above depending on conditions!

megastream – your poploc is upside down… sits under the bars normally 😉

Hora – It was a Puma Lux Pack in panther black… Standard alloys are 15" which IMO are too small 17 up look much better 😉

Highly recommend the 1.7 engine.. heard 1.4 had lots of faults and the 1.6 they brought in later had less poke!

I always wanted one of these but the servicing would have been horrendous.. plus insurance ;-/

Had a puma 1.7 for several year almost from new and was a very fun car to drive 😉 big wheels to fill the arches makes it look lots better too…

Drove it an itch of its life before someone hit me on the motorway and wrote it off ;-( used for many bike trips and races with a rack on the back…

If your looking for secondhand the rear arches are first place to look for rust! (not that mine did)

    Cheers all…

A trick with the bracket is to not tighten it up so tight so when you do come off it just moves it round the handlebars instead of snapping 😉

good luck with the light… IMO get it sent off and double checked for peace of mind why it did it.

Ya 2.2 no problem.. most tyres would be no problem even with skinny inner tubes

if your rims are not ust already then you will need a kit to convert to tubeless…

    xcstu

2.1 or bigger.. any smaller prob not worth it IMO…

Have a MaxxD /Joystick and haven't had any problems except for a faulty charger. Contacted Exposure and they were more than happy to replace it for a new one free of charge..

Def get it sent back and I'm sure they will sort it out or replace completely. Pretty good at sorting things IMO 😉

Schwalbe Tyres are one of the best I have ridden on IMO 😉

Highly rate the Racing Ralph, Nobby Nics and newish to me the Rocket Ron's…

If you look around they sometime come up cheap on ebay or classifieds but from a shop can be very expensive!

Not had any problems so far with sidewalls and rocky terrain….
depands how heavy a rider you are I guess?

Went there last year… Hvar and Split… quite expensive in hvar due to the 40 million pound yacht sailing in every night… beauty place but beaches were mostly rocky. Warm too…

Split seemed a lot cheaper but more of a big town with lots of history…

Def good place for cycling too..

I bought some tyres off him I think and he sent to wrong address so got sent back to him.. he then sent them again… all in all took a few weeks…. not great IMO but item perfect…
