Been going since the 90s and attended the latest Malvern Classic’s and wasn’t overall impressed but this year felt better.. could actually ride your bike in the arena at a bike event!!! Might also have been wasn’t racing and just soaking it all in.. Kids loved the live bands and do’s :)

I’m still in disbelief over yesterday result.. Lewis did everything right and deserved the title and to be robbed in that manner! The way in which it was done was purely for TV entertainment regardless of the drivers… Like giving a boxer who is on the ropes after been knocked down several times to have a free shot and knockout.. crazy!!

Race should have finished under the safety car but that doesn’t make for good TV

Been considering this setup too with the kids bikes getting bigger.. strada was on my hit list but stock is hard to find and 2nd racks going for very strong money!!

Ah man having the same issue today but no vice or bench to help… Putting so much force in can hear the spokes flexing!!! just doesn’t feel right… is it a standard free hub once out?

Was a faithful racing Ralph fan for years but don’t know if they changed something but tyre slashes were becoming a more frequent thing I was getting to the point of throwing away brand new tyres.. Had a try of continental but discovered Maxxis Ikon EXO 3C MaxxSpeed TLR… so far a country mile better and have on both bikes 👌 fast, grippy, light, great volume.. would rate

Does quite help you but ride there on Sunday and it had rained the night before and pretty good except for the odd puddle… it tends to be quite sandy and with this weeks deluge could be muddy in places?!

Absolutely gutted… raced there back in the days of dusty trails and equally in the days of mayhem and right decision! Fair play as previous events bottled it when having to make that decision!! Will be there next year for sure, was so looking forward to this one!

Don’t let the hater’s put you off!! Great vans IMO.. Don’t think you can go wrong with quite a few of the modern vans these days.. all drive very well with a good spec engine.. if you are into cycling and need to carry stuff had an estate car and was just a right royal pain in the arse and can’t for the life of me understand why I didn’t buy one sooner?!! True touring vehicle cruises on the motorway with ease!! Buy one and you won’t look back.. T5.1 owner and highly rate :)

Done so many of the 12/24 events and starting to think has it got the curse of eastnor’s mountain mayhem of continuously getting awful weather?

Think have enjoyed previous courses more then this year and the climb must have been brutal for the solo 12 & 24 riders??

Surprised none of the camping gear got trashed but taken most of today to dry and clean stuff haha…

Absolute blast of a weekend camping and racing!! Just hope it is back for good… Xc race course was almost the same as what I remember 20plus years ago riding as a junior :) great turn out of trade stands and activities! Live band and DJ was quality Friday and Saturday night! Yes a few blips but easy fixes.. retro bikes brought back so many memories and racing with Dave hemmings and nick Craig! Jez and Hans legends! Why can’t all Mountain bike races be like this!!

Great looking frame… screaming out for some retro cranks or at least some middleburns.. skinwall tyres and low front end! Pedals :-/

Yep still use mine for winter service but have to admit been using the geared of late due to fitness :-/

Take away the diversion and I’ve done the 2018 mudfest in 3:50 – 12 minutes faster than my 2017 dusty summer trails time – I’ll take that as an improvement.

we arrived early sat morning to the chaos of the camping field.. after getting the van stuck with the family in tow and discovering a very water logged field we decided to abandon pitching our stupidly big tent! Thought they got the venue very wrong this year! Do these events every year and just wasn’t family friend enough for our 2 young ones and didn’t help our youngest had broken out in chicken poks that day so didn’t ride Sunday! Prob a good thing haha…

I must be the most unluckiest tubeless rider here or just the fact my favourite tyre is so woeful for get tyre slashes :( gone through about 6 Racing Ralph that way… have given up on them and hope now changed brand will have some better luck?!

I gave up using hopes floating rotors on my xtr brakes! They simply don’t fit due to the size of the floating rivot :( would always catch the body of the calliper… same on my formula brakes too

Mmm bought several chainring from them and never in stock and the usual email to say getting from supplier! Very annoy as they seem to be the only people selling absolute black chainrings ;-/

It is a shame there are so many restrictions… I believe in the US you can barely fly anywhere without getting into trouble… shame as a nice alternative to capturing stunning country side etc
