Just leave it be out of control. It is trying to control it thats the problem that keeps it going. When trying to control it all you are doing is inadvertently is feeding it.

I’m all about the fight, fight, fight

I’m a firm believer that you cannot fight against (and beat) your feelings. You may be able to surpress them for a while but ultimately you currently feel how you feel.

Have you tried accepting the feelings, not fighting them and just carrying on with positive things in your day. Not getting into a battle with them – just pushing them to one side whatever your mind or body is telling you.

If you have an iphone have a look at an app called smartherapy by a dr salle mclaren. Only costs 79p i think.

The area is closed off by buildings and the rooftops have been searched and analysed by police.
It has been proven that an individual cannot leave the area on foot without being seen on CCTV, but Mr Mckeague was not caught on camera again.

Hope hes found as it cant be nice for his family neither.

Assuming the immediate area has been searched, including inside the buildings and any possible falls from roofs, i take it he must have gotten out in a vehicle somehow, be it a lorry bin or mayby another vehicle associated with one of the buildings.

Be careful about getting into a state where you worry about the symptoms. By all means get a once over from your GP if you want, but refain from fighting the symptoms to try and stop them. By fighting i mean doing anything to try and stop the anxiety, such as googling things, researching all the time…etc. Its a battle you’ll never win.

Remember that these symptoms are the manifestation of your past worrying.

Sorry to hear that, from your post it seems that you wanted to stay there.

I’d probably look at it differently though and concerntrate on getting as much as you can out of redundancy payments and move on.

    Goodluck with whatever you decide.

I havent had the bike long. it has been like that since i got it but i just assumed it was fine/normal. However have recently been reading articles that says the medium setting should be stiffer than what im getting.

Its off back to mojo tomorrow.

    Thanks for the responses.

Tried letting the air out tonight and pumping up every 50psi and cycling the shock 20 times. Still cannot tell the difference between the medium and open mode. So I have taken the shock off and am going to send it into mojo tomorrow under warranty.

Ill update this thread when I get it back.

Thanks. I followed the pumping up every 50psi and cycling the shock.

I cannot tell the difference between the medium and open setting though. Maybe time to strip it and send it to mojo to look at.

    Very good performance by brook.

Pity for ggg that the middleweight scene is a bit depleted at the moment. It would have been good to see him in against a prime hopkins, roy jones, gerald mcleland or james toney.

Fair play to brook for stepping up. I want to see ggg move up and test himself againt the bigger super middleweights. Him and james degale would be a good fight.

    Thread resurection!

I’m a premium strava user but the freshness and fitness section is lightly greyed out with no data in it. I have logged a lot of rides over the summer with hr and some with power too.

    Any ideas why?

Im unsure if the OP has been diagnosed with Lymes or whether she thinks she has it because of the symptoms. I cannot comment on the Lymes itself but you must understand that the symptoms described can also be symptoms of extreme stress and anxiety. How do i know – well i have been there myself.

All this fighting, analysing, worrying, researching, battling is extermely stressful and the byproduct of this extreme stress are these strange symptoms, which are very real and is with you constantly, every hour of every day.

If it is Lymes leave the GP treat it but if not I’d let it go and focus on more positive life things instead. Trust your body and mind to heal itself – as long as you consciously get out of the way and let it do so.

Fatigue is a symptom of anxiety and when you add excercise, which stresses the body on top of it you can definately make things feel worse.

You need to learn to ignore that little voice in your head as well as the brain fag – it will eventually go away.

What a lot do is battle the thoughts and symptoms, thus creating more stress which creates the symptoms. Vicious circle.

Mayby worth one trip to the Dr to confirm?

I used to have really bad anxiety and the symptoms you get are pretty strange – quite easy for you to worry it is caused by something else.

I was about to ask about stress but you have just confirmed it above. I used to get a lot of headaches as well, some tablets called midrids helped me but you need to really address the cause and not the symptoms.

As Tyler Hamilton said in his book it is better to miss tests/not be available than get caught doping. You get caught doping and your career is over, no money, no sponsorship……He also mentioned doctors prescribing things, cortisone i think under the therapitic medical loophole.

I find it really difficult for you to be at the top of your physical sport without assistance, and not just cycling. But things like athletics and boxing.

Ive just been reading the Tyler Hamilton book which is quite good if I’m honest. Rings a bell about how to avoid the testing with having last minute changes to location and hiding/not answering (switching phones off) and how you can be ‘glowing’ one day and ok the next.

Doesnt prove anything with armistead but for me does raise serious doubts!

Dont get me started on Mo Farahs coach!!

I don’t know but do we really think that elite level sportspeople are clean or its just a game of avoiding the testing if there is a risk of anything showing up? You just need to look at a few of the boxers/ufc fighters to see they are on the juice.

The UK voted to leave, so leave we must. 52% of the population that voted cannot be ignored.

More people voted to leave than remain. Those that didn’t vote I assume weren’t too bothered either way, or they would have voted.

Its happened, so we must deal with it and move forward. Not the end of the world.

Dont think so, the lever is directly under the bike in prepedal mode. Not 100% though.

For around £1600 id go for either a canyon cf hardtail, giant xtc carbon hardtail or maybe a cube.

Tough times. Just do things for the moment that takes your attention away from her, even if you dont feel like it.

    It gets easier in time.

When i had anxiety disorder shortness of breath was definately a symptom i had.

Had all the heart tests at the time and all was ok.

Looking back its pretty impressive the symptoms you can get with anxiety – some pretty scary ones as well.

Always best to get it checked out by a doctor initially.

Search on google for a girl called loz evans, she has a free book on how she recovered from CFS.

I know how awful the bodily symptoms and thoughts are, as i had them really bad with anxiety and i battled and researched that for a long time. Went to a&e twice in an ambulance. But it made me worse.

The choice is always yours what path you want to take but at least take advice from people who have recovered.

Can it possibly be the battle to rid of ME thats perpetuating it?

The example above when someone got pregnant – mayby their attention switched from ME to the baby and the ME went away by itself when interest was lost in it.

Before dismissing it, since diagnosis how much time has been spent looking for cures. Id try acceptance and see if it cures by itself.

I understand the symptoms are bloody horrible as i had them when i had anxiety disordet.

Ive noticed that worry (threat) —> fear response —-> can be expressed as anger.

Find what you are thinking/worrying about and stop doing it, then the fear dies down, which eliminates the anger. Sometimes the little voice in your head is a great big liar, but is good at making up stories which we can start to believe in if not careful.
