I only ride/race hardtails, flat bars etc & at times I really have had to MTFU national xc champs 09 springs to mind, I have tried short travel fs but found they bob to much plus there’s nothing like getting the jump on someone when you get out the saddle and samp on those pedals …:)

Hi i’ve picked up this week my new race bike, which is the 2012 flash ultimate it is by far the best bike i’ve ever ridden and i’ve ridden/raced alot of bikes. I also have a 2011 superx carbon cx bike which again is a fantastic bike, so as you can see i’m a HUGE fan of Cannondale!

As LeeW says i run single ring on my second bike which is a 38 with 11-28 block i have tried a 36 but much prefer the 38

But im also running a double chainset 46-36 on my best bike i like to have lots of options like todays cx race was flat and fast so i’d be spining out the single ring as i found out last time i raced at this venue hope this helps

Wont go near the road when it gets to cold (like now)as i dont like being cold one bit, so in the week turbo time and mtb ride or cx race on sunday this is my opinion of course and what works for me

Lets be honest all the regs in the world do nothing if you can get all the kit you need from B&Q etc

Yes very true i was browsing wicks and noticed they have leaflets on how to replace a socket which lets be honest is simple to a spark but what about a zs test as a minimum which non sparks cant do. I explained this to a customer as how important this is as it was a class I socket, i could go on for hours about it ….

Suppose, I’m registered with the NICEIC as Approved contractor status, i showed a comercial job 3 phase etc and a domestic rewire when i had my last yearly visit so as i showed a domestic job which was compliant of course i was given part P, so it’s ok being a “qualified electrician” but being registered and being the qualified supervisor shows the best level of technical knowledge and practical skill me thinks

Above post why dont you register for part P just out of intrest

Hi Rich spoke to BC and you just get a new licence end of the year http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/mtb/article/mtbst_Mountain-Bike-Category-System-Explained

I do like cx but TBH when it gets to cold i’ll go on the turbo, not doing the trophy as have been travaling all season, what bike you racing on next year i’m going full sus 29er. Being realistic about next season my goal is to just stay in elite

You aint alone, all my riding is training, slave to the power meter but i enjoy it and then theres food as long as i’m 10% body fat in winter & 6-8% in season i’m happy for me i love racing xc & cx. I see this guy every 3 months http://www.sportstest.co.uk/

yeah went out for a zone 2 session on tue based on hrt rate zone avg watts was 228 happy with that but…

went out today same zone 2 session avg watts 212 so i’m down 16 watts at the same zone 2 session and duration (oh and yes power meter had been calibrated ) so being down wattage with a cx race on sun is not good for my mental well being
