Totally the opposite for me I’ve trained and raced all season on a 29er and after riding my 26″ I can say I’m going back to a 26″ and never going back! If that makes scene 😕

    Hi wiltsrider

It’s a great bike I especially like the head angle it’s very confident expiring on techy descents and flat bars suit it well. The seat stays look great as does the super chunky bb area, zero flex it’s a great xc/marathon race bike as It just feels more relaxed to other makes I’ve had in the past. I raced the 19c last season and had that for a while so as you can see I’m a fan !

There is no problem with blanking plates, if your not sure the best thing to do is to contact a registered electrician to sort it for you

Is there access to the sub-floor from elsewhere in the the house? Or, can access be achieved.
You must to remove the conductors from the wall if you are going to remove any visible sign that there are cables running there. A blanking plate would do, but probably not for the stove. Unmarked buried cables are very dangerous.
If a SS blanking plate is OK, crimping or Chocblocks would be OK, but, if it is a ring, the continuity of each of the 3 conductors should be confirmed to ensure that the integrity of the ring is maintained.
Also consider that the current carrying capacity of the circuit will be reduced, possibly significantly subject to the heating that the cable will be subjected to.

    Hi
I personally charge around the £150 mark, I hear some less and some more just be careful that you don’t get a cheaper one done only to find it littered with limitations rendring it usless. Again I personally go through the whole installation very few limitations and takes me the best part of a day

Here’s my email (as not sure it’s on here) if you need any advice

Hi I’m a NICEIC approved contractor and run my own small business, I would highly recommend you get a electrical installation condition report (EICR) carried out which is a 7 page document and if carried out correctly will give you a true understanding of what current condition your installation is in. Which you can then go from there as to what works need to be carried out which by the sounds of it would be a full rewire, price of which is dependant on many factors spec being the main one. Also it would be cheaper to do a rewire with the property unocupied with no furniture carpets etc and remember you WILL need a plasterer after (presuming you want it all chased in) good luck

I think 😉 I’m fantastic when I nail that race on the edge of control on the descents, knowing I’ve left it all out on the course racing on the limit knowing I couldn’t have go any faster

Question – what if it had taken 2 people, 3 days? Would you have stumped up the extra?
We are in a very different line of business, but a fixed fee quote is just that – if you agreed to the fixed fee. If it takes longer, your gain, if it takes less, contractor’s gain…
Different matter if it has taken less time because corners have been cut.

Been over today and done a few laps of the red route and I have to say it’s fantastic really like it, it holds up well considering all the rain we’ve had of late I think, all the climbs are rideable just a bit greasy and prepare to use granny ring non of this single ring nonsense 😉 Hopton will make for a great national level xc race in a few weeks time

I’ve been using the cycleOpspower tap for the around 2 years one on the mtb & one on the roadie bike, I would highly recommend them so much more effective than hrt rate (I’ve trained via hrt rate for around 3 years prior to pm). Just need to understand them, how they relate to you etc and find out your specific zones then train to them

Likewise really looking forward to it especially the night enduro, even better I’ll be aboard my new carbon Whyte 29er 🙂
