I’ve had 2 whyte’s in the past and they’ve both been great. If I was in the market for a long travel HT then the 900,series would definitely be in my shortlist

I do like these threads, I’m niceic registered as approved contractor and jib graded approved electrician, I charge £25/hr plus £5/hr for my apprentice. I find with domestic no one wants to pay, glad I don’t deal with domestic installations. Now commercial/industrial I get told I’m to cheap ! …… just saying

It’s a riders skills that lets people down rather than lack of travel so from what you have described and in my opinion I’d say 100mm travel full sus would be fine, cannondale every time

HI Pete thanks for your help, he’s had an operation today where they have pinned and wired his broken in half knee cap and are keeping him in tonight. The bike/frame is a write off the forks have pushed back into the head tube and snapped the down tube so I suppose a positive is a new carbon frame is required

I had a whyte 829 training bike and a whyte 29c race bike, the latter had full xtr group etc I rode/raced these for this year but now I’m back on a 26″ I much prefer 26″. oil beck doesn’t seem to have a problem winning national elite xc races on a 26″

the only way to prevent this really is by having 2 cx bikes and a pit bitch with a jet wash, at the national trophy yesterday I was changing bikes every lap and those that Had problems were guys with only one bike

5 days to glue/aqua seal really, anyway if your not racing then I really wouldn’t bother with tubs as its A LOT of faff if you puncture. If I were you I’d just run a set of challenge open tubulars which are clinchers with latex tubes

I use this have done for a while every training ride is logged via my power meter. I haven’t used one of there programs as I’m coached independently but I know people who do and are impressed with it
