I have a large 145 with a piggyback shock, and couldn’t fit a bottle in, so ordered this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151125545013?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Bottle cage adaptor which moves the cage enough to fit a 500ml bottle easily, and just about fits a 750ml but it rests against the shock so i think i’ll stick with the 500 to save scratching the shock. With a side loading cage or perhaps a 600ml bottle you could probably get away with it, and that adaptor is pretty decent.

Apart from the bottle cage bolts the bike is absolutely flawless! Added bonus I discovered for extra Enduro points is that there is a hole in the frame above the BB, and from the non driveside I can fit a Topeak Mini 9 multitool absolutely perfectly in it, and as the tool comes in a neoprene case there is no movement and it is very secure! Happy coincidence and a cool detail if (like me) you don’t like carrying things on your person!

    I meant 6’1″! haha

The green is so nice though, really pops and finished off nicely with silver Hope

@jsm it isn’t a proper protector, I heli taped the frame and while I was at it got some carbon wrap to protect from scratches. In all honestly it’s not lasting well so I might go back to regular clear wrap. Rockguardz did one for the old Aeris so they might have one coming out for the 145 though!

Thought i’d join in, here is my 2 week old Aeris 145:

Guys at Bird have been super helpful getting the build sorted. I went for a size L and am 6’11”, fit is spot on. Coming from a Canyon 29er it took a while to get used to the geometry, you definitely have to ride the front end aggressively, but when you push it the bike rewards you and becomes an absolute missile. Highly recommend!

If it helps I have a Spectral AL 29er, and I can’t run a continuous outer without drilling/widening the cable routing holes, which are thinner than the outers to stop the ferrules falling through. I’m guessing the CF has similar interior routing if it also comes without continuous outer cable as stock.
