I know nothing about the breed specifics, but could he need mental stimulation? Your comment about collies is a common misconception, but actually what most collies lack is mental stimulation – they need about an hour’s worth of ‘work’ a day or they can be a real pain in the butt. Lots of folk tend to up the exercise for their collies, which just leads to super fit, bored collies. I think it woud be unusual to find a Westie that needed 20 miles worth of exercise a day – most of ones around us get an couple of short walks per day and their owners don’t mention any problems.

What food are you using? can make a huge difference, I have had Bearded Collies for 25 years now so know how active types of dogs can be!

Have a word in a food shop that has some knowledge (not a chain) and see if a change of diet helps

But you did get a terrier type so………..

Also have a look on doggy forums relating to terriers, theres lots of help on there

    You a NIMBY??

Thing about being accused of Nimbyism is that no one else will bother generally, so its normally up to those who live closest or use the area, how many times have you objected to stuff without having a real intertest in it?

might be a very stupid question, but have you checked that the wireless on your laptop/computer is switched on? is there a button on the side or back that has accidentally been knocked?

I did this to my shame…. mine was on top of laptop keyboard area

I attended a Peaslake community council meeting last night as we had heard that there was going to be a motion put forward to extend the old no vehicles covenant that was put on in the 1920s to include bikes!

Thankfully this didn’t happen but there will be signs up soon asking people to use the car parks (walking bottom is currently being improved to take more cars)

Apart from the usual suspects being anti bike i was bouyed to hear some non biking people stating how they thought the village centre was more vibrant with the bikers than without! Not something I was expecting

You should have seen the kid in our group. He tried to launch the table top at the bottom of Ski Run and land on the transition of the jump to left. Accounts vary but it looks like he cleared about 30 foot before flat landing and exploding. Put a nasty gash on his arm but he bandaged it up and carried on!

We spoke to him as he walked past our red van asked him whether he needed patching up!, seemed ok though

My Dad wrote a book titled “the history of the bicycle in war”, it was a good read although the publisher rejected it due to probable lack of demand!

Had a good 1st WW section about putting bikes across the road to slow the approaching cavalry while you hide in a ditch and take pot shots at them!

The trouble is that the current situation does not allow for any kind of progression in the sport, which is why you find people building their own sneaky lines.

unfortunately they have now created large open areas that are very tempting to put a trail through!

Different trails in different parts of the forest that are logged on a rotation.

Thats how i always thought it should be done! theres no evidence of replanting yet though
