Waiting for a Mojo HD 140, should be here in a couple of weeks. I’ve got all the bits waiting for it 🙂

Not to fussed whether it’s worth more or not, just want to know what people think of them. I am waiting on a demo and I think I have made my mind up if it rides as well as the steel one.

Tricky, you’ve got to look at what you can get new.
Cube do a Reaction GTC team with Fox alps forks and full XT for £1600 or a GTC pro for £1399 with SLX and rebas.
You can get a new XTC composite 2 for £1850 not the same spec but it is a new bike.
A quick look on Ebay show 3 composite frames ranging with bids up to £250 on one, £155 on another and £96 on one with some chain suck damage.
On a good day you might get £1000, but I’d say closer to £800 for the complete bike.

Check the jockey wheels as well, if they have seized it will have the same effect.

A 9 speed Shimano mech won’t work with a 10 speed set up. It has a different cable pull ratio and a different parallelogram action.

    Mine is 21.5lbs.
    Ibis Tranny lge
    SID team forks.
XTR cranks with Gamut 32t chain ring & 17t Chris King sprocket
    XTR disc brakes
DT240 single speed rear hub/ 240s front hub on DT carbon rims.
    Conti 2.2 Mountain King tubeless.
    Thompson stem
Easton cnt bars EC90 seatpost lock-on grips.
It feels light and rides really well, it could be lighter but I like the suspension forks and the security of proper tubeless tyres.

You need a Garmin Edge 800 unit.

There are 2 you should look for the Trail package which is the unit with 1-50k os mapping.

Or the Enduro bundle package which has a HRM and speed cadence sensor as well as the mapping.

Hi Swisstony, I am just about to put a KSi 900 remote post in the classifieds. I am selling it because I am changing frames. It is a 385mm 30.9mm post and has both the std lockout lever and the lock-on grip lever and I have a new Gore remote lever cable with it.
It is just over a year old and has been used fairly regularly.
I was going to stick it up for £100 inc postage, mail me if you are
    interested, email in profile.

There is a a Rubber Queen 2.2 UST with black chilli out in the new year, if that is any help.
I use the 2.2 with the 819 no problem, I can’t use the 2.4’s as they don’t fit in my frame.

There is a good ride straight from Barmouth. Up over Pont Scethin it’s got some rocky bits a descent and climb a fast singletrack descent across the old wooden bridge and back along and old railway line and across the new railway bridge to Barmouth.

There are some other routes from there too.

I have run XT 10 speed as a double since June and had no problems what so ever.
I have just replaced it with XTR 10 speed and it saved 1/2 pound over the XT.

The shimano 10sp cassette is the same width as their 9 speed cassettes. The cable pull ratio has changed for the shifter and the mech has slightly different pivot placement and angle. The mtb chain is different to the road chains too.

The Shimano MTB 10sp chain is a different width to the Shimano road 10sp chains. The MTB one is wider they are also directional and the writing & logos are on the outside.

I ran a 2 x 9 with Shimano 12-36 cassette and just removed the granny ring it was fine. I now have 2 x 10 XT 10 speed set up with 11-36.
It’s workable no problem and unless you live somewhere with big climbs you’ll get up everything

I have ordered mine and they couldn’t give me any date at all they hoped January or February. I was then told that they wouldn’t be brining in the 140 HD, and that they would sell a 160 with the different plates and that I could then buy a shorter shock to make it a 140. Since then they have changed that plan apparently but I have not been told anything more.

Trek Top Fuel 9.8 here and it is very fast and having ridden it at trail centres it is more than capable on most stuff and bloody fast in a lot of places a longer travel bike isn’t

The STD Mojo is now finished and it is just the Mojo SL with extra colours. They have introduced a Mojo HD 140 which is a Mojo HD but with a shorter stroke shock and a different mounting link to reduce the travel.
I will be ordering a HD 140 tomorrow, I’m after something with a bit slacker than the SL and I want a bolt through rear end and seat post cable guide, and it also has a 1.5 head tube which is a bonus and I can run a tapered fork. I am just trying to decide on the colour.

The Salsa is one I have looked at as well, and it is very nice.
I'm 5'11 so I reckon it will be OK size wise just wondered how people had found they ride.

I don't reckon the bridge on the Yeti will be a problem as I have a Tranny and they have the slot machine chainstays and it is a similar size to the Yeti and it didn't do to badly last winter.

The cable pull on the Shimano shifters is different to Sram too, so you may, I'll say that again may find the Sram front mech won't work as well as it should.
The Shimano 10 speed chain is also wider than the Sram one I believe, it is different to the 10 speed road chain as well.

I will second Thistle lodges, I have stayed there with friends and family and they are really nice.
They are a 5 minute walk from the beach and they have a indoor pool on site.

My Jawbones fit fine with my Athlon and Xen. I don't have radars, but i do have pro m frames and they are fine with both too, not sure how different they are so i'd check. I ride with a small Athlon and Xen by the way.

I put a nice cut on the outside of my elbow which needed gluing and steri strips in wales earlier this year. That was on a Monday and rode everyday for the rest of the week, I do have a nice scar now but it didn't open up again. I just kept it covered and wore elbow pads, which of course i should have been doing if i hadn't lost them. Where is the wound and how big is it?

It will be fine steel bikes have been running those dimensions for nearly 20 years. I had a Kona explosive from 92 and it had the same size seatpost and seat collar and that is still being used now.

I have test ridden both of the bikes as i was unsure. I currently have a 5.5. I wasn’t that impressed with the Tracer it has to be said, I can’t put my finger on it exactly, it just didn’t feel right. Not sure its an improvement on the 5.5.
On the other hand i was impressed with the Turner, it certainly is a step on in terms of ride and performance from my 5.5.
I ordered a Turner, from my LBS and it will be here in the next week or so. (I had to pick the colour and size that wasn’t in stock)
