They are not compatible with M980 rings, I’ve seen M970 set up as a double but using non Shimano rings.

Top swing is where the cage and pivots etc sit above the band.
Conventional swing is where the cage and pivots sit below the band.

I’ve had it since Easter, it’s been to Wales a couple of times and the peaks once and then used around my local trails. I’m using it as much as my XC hard tail.

Yeap, I’ve got one and I really like it. I thought it looked good firstly, it rides really well. I’ve also got a 29er and I’d say I can man handle this a little bit more. It’s done everything I’ve wanted it to do and I’m sure it’s much more capable than I am.

Hmm, rumours in tennis are Rafa Nadel wasn’t injured but serving a silent drugs ban. Athletes and boxers are amongst the people who are being kept under wraps. Only 37 of the 200 different blood bags stored are cyclists.

The spec on that is terrible, it’s got a Tiagra cassette, own brand brakes and an FSA chain set.
I’m not sure what size you need but have a look at the below

Look on Madison.co.uk for Shimano shoes, they are the uk importer

I will second the Poc, I’ve got a Trabec race. It’s properly comfortable and has loads of coverage. It is a bit warmer than my Giro Zar, but on par with my old Zen.
My girlfriend bought a Trabec a while ago and she gets on with it really well, she persuaded me to try one as I’d been a Giro fan.

There are no exploded diagrams of the internals as they are machine assembled and not designed to be taken apart

It was covered in snow and ice this week, it’s got some deep drifts and the path is not visible in places.
Ice axes and crampons were being recommended by the mountain rescue people and the mountain forecast.

Below is the mountain forecast for the next few days

I have a 510, but without HRM and cadence, so it was £250. I like it. It’s much easier to use than my 500 and I like the instant upload and download from Connect.

The HD 3 white is comparable to the original HD hero and the HD 2 is pretty much the same specs as the HD 3 silver

Garmin do an external battery pack that is also solar powered, so can be recharged.

Tallboy Carbon here. I’ve had mine a year, it’s been to Wales, Lakes and Peaks. It’s been absolutely blinding. I’m 5’11 and I’m running a large with a 90 mm stem and Easton flat bars. It’s got a 100mm fox fork up front and full XTR with stans rims on DT hubs. It’s just over 25lbs with a carbon post and 2.2 X-kings. If I stick a reverb and and Rubber queens on its just a gnats over 26.5lbs.
It’s been really reliable and I’ve not had bushing problems, but it’s not ridden on rocky stuff too much about 25 days this year, the rest is XC stuff in Hertfordshire and places like wend over and swinley.

The brakes you have are different versions, the SLX will be the original M665brakes and not the newer M666/675 version which have the hole in the middle.
You can get different level pads to fit any brake from the same range, ie M980/985, M785, M666/675

Have you set it to all mountain mode by putting the little mode converter plate on, you need this for it to work on 11-32 & 11-34 cassettes.

You need the city navigator map, this gives you full road mapping for most of Europe. This mapping looks like a Garmin car satnav screen.
You can plan routes on Garmin connect very easily for road.

The testosterone would have done nothing for me over night or on the day. It would have been in the blood he reinjected into himself, a bit sloppy really as if he’d been following the right doping plan it shouldn’t have happened. It’s why Lance and USPS along with all the other teams have got away with it for so long.
Floyd is no better or worse than the others he is just the same, he doped, he got caught, he got punished. Lets just hope that they do the same to all the others instead of this idea that we now have of good cheats and bad cheats!

The white is like the original hd in filming terms. The silver is similar to the hd2 and the black has higher res filming but more importantly has higher frame rates at 720, 960 and 1080. The black also comes with a wifi remote in the box which costs £80

I think XTR has a 3 year warranty, I could be wrong. Just take them to a shop and ask them to send them back under warranty.

You can replace the HiD bulb in the head unit or you could upgrade to a Seca head unit and use your existing batteries.

Just be aware that the 1:50,000 OS map SD card for the UK are £199.99, so if you think you’ll want the maps then it is much cheaper to buy them in the bundle.
You can also use the Basecamp software for route planning if you have the SD card in the unit

That’s the protection casing showing through the sidewall. The rubber coating is probably getting scrubbed off a bit. Nothing to worry about as said above.

    Yeti SB66

    Nicolai various options
    Ibis Mojo SL/SLR/HD

I’d get some demo rides sorted out

We were there last week and I’d say it’s the best trail in the area, it is tough and much more wild than all the others. It feels the most natural of all the surrounding centres and is the least sanitised. I’d compare it to Kirroughtree, I’d put money in the honesty box for them to leave it as it is.
Yeah we got wet, but hey it’s mountain biking after all.

If it is the new SLM780 10 speed shifters, the covers aren’t shown as a spare part on Shimano’s website and the old ones won’t fit as the mounting bracket is in the way.

    Hi Richy,

I’ve seen the emails from Yeti querying the fact he was using an XTR rapid rise rear mech thanks and suggesting this may have been a causing factor.
Also I know how long it took him to get his replacement as he was using my spare bike whilst his was out of action.
In 18 months he’s had 2 rear triangles and a new front triangle, he’s had to shell out on 2 rear mechs and also the conversion kit for his rear hub as it was suggested he should use the 15mm rear axle.
I’m also not going to question my LBS as, I’ve seen the emails that were sent to them, where it was questioned if they had set the bike up properly.
They have seen 4 rear ends break in the same place from 3 different riders.

Oh yeah I’ve seen this 4 times now, it has happened to a mate of mine twice now. Silverfish and Yeti said it was set up at 1st and then they said it was the fact he was using a Shimano rear mech. It took him weeks of emailing Yeti in the states to get anywhere.
My local shop has seen it twice too, my mate’s seem to have lasted longer with a 12 rear end.
