Tricky the first time you do it but very easy thereafter.
Use "parachute " cord as it wont snap and it is about 5-6mm dia.
A wee bit of hand soap ,non grit type, helps as does an assistant to hold glass in firmly.Overlap string at bottom usually and get two corners inserted at side of overlap and start there.
Take your time and it is a easy job.

Went to Halfords to buy grease for wheel bearings as I was changing them on my car and there are two types of grease so I read the labels to see which was which but it didnt help me decide.
So I ask for help. 😥
Guy walks over and I ask which is correct for wheel bearings ?
I explained that I have read the containers and they shed no light as to which one.
He then proceeds to spend the next 5 minutes reading them himself to then pronounce he hadn`t a clue ?

In fairness to Glasgow there are far worst cities in the UK.

I have one which I will sell if you can`t get one.

I have had an accident whilst riding my bike with no helmet.
I lost consciousness for over an hour after hitting side of my head off of kerb.
I also crashed whilst wearing helmet and put rather large dent in said helmet and broke two ribs as well.
I know what I will be wearing next time I ride a bike and I really dont care about statistics etc. tbh.

My impression is it is just a club for like minded people and all the misconceptions about them stem from early last century when it went underground as in some places ie. Nazi Germany being a Freemason was on par with being a Jew.

A manky pollen filter in my Vectra was a cause of not demisting.

Phillips energy light I got one of these and it does make a difference.Placebo effect possibly but if so it doesn`t really matter.

Buy a stud/metal detector,usually spaced about 18" apart and try to use them if poss.
Otherwise the above pictured metal plasterboard screws are good but not infallible.
LCDs are a quite light really so should be OK and that reminds me how f***ing heavy the old CRT tv was to remove

I would say paint ,maybe the "crack" is the paint not adhering at the joint due to contamination prior to painting.
Paint needs removed for proper inspection/crack testing.

IIRC when I got my one back in the day the sales brochure seemed to point this out ?

Made spares for some Sandvik machinery recently ,and probably cut the metal using Sandvik tools.
Sadly there was no Ti tubing involved.
