Not to bad but as said odd hill that might require a push! If you go into village of carsington and hopton pub is miners arms, always busy, other pub mentioned is knockerdown. Both do food an will be a darn sight tastier than at the visitor centre!

Lbs or one of many sites do. 0% finance over the year. That might be worth a look as well.

Amazing what a demand of a loan bike can do. Avid will now turn the lever round, repaired or replaced within 24 hrs of receiving it!

It is a bit rich when they already had my bike for 3 weeks before Christmas with the shock problem! I mentioned a loan straight away. I'll wait for the workshop guy to confirm the "exact" time frame and then it'll be manager time!! Oh and squin thanks for the offer, never ceases to amaze me what a decent bunch of people are on this forum. I'll wait for the call!!

To be fair it wasn't really a pitch just his honest opinion! Not what you want tohear tho either! When the bike was new I thought they were the business, but as I found out on Saturday the harder you push the longer it takes to stop! And that has knocked my confidence in them a bit!

They've been (lbs) good so far. Upgraded my shock for free under the warranty so hopefully when I go back today there'll be a nice set of hope 4 pots on! Mmmm;)

Honestly? I'd go fruit loop if someone hit my car, and I'd be out at em, but as someone who rides bikes you know the score, so I try to give as much room as poss when passing.

Robbie is a legend and English to the core! As are kasabian and dizzy! Three massively different artists and three worthy winners! I listen to all three and have seen them all live, and don't give a flying **** what anyone thinks! Kasabian ringing in your ears for a good dh stretch can sometimes make you a little too cocky mind!!

If I'm right, I think you pay the subscription monthly. Ten pound and you are a premium user, with each month or ten pound you get one invite. Set up another email address hotmail etc, do the sad thing of inviting yourself, cancel direct debit, hence cost you ten pound! Thankfully I got an invite so didn't have to all that, but if your a music fan, then definately worth it!

If you do the high peak you can drop down onto the black rocks area, kids and mum have picnic, dad has mad hr up in the woods above. It's worth missing the sandwichs, trust me! ;)

The high peak and tissington trails are both excellent for young children as they are virtually flat and never muddy as they are of a stone/ash construction. In the high peaks case there are only 3 inclines worth mentioning in it's legnth . Not much to do on them so a picnic is highly recommended to keep the kids happy. There is also carsington water within 5 miles of that area, which is the local reservoir and has an 8 mile loop around it. Bit more challenging hill wise for the kids, but still of a good construction so no major muddy areas.
Mountains of hotels and b and b's. Try Ashbourne, wirksworth, matlock, belper, which are probably your nearest towns to the trails, or there's villages such as brassington, carsington etc. Too many to mention. Any more info required, happy to help.
Oh and we rode the high peak today with our kids of 7 and 4

Off limits by whom?? So longs as you don't park on the access road at shining cliff all is good and black rocks has never been a problem for me to be fair. At black rocks last weekend we saw all of about ten people up in the woods and all were ok. Love the little bit of downhill from the trig point and found a nice bomb hole last weekend. The trail was busy but that's the norm for a weekend.
Might catch you next time. Cheers

Hence my initial post. I'm new to riding on trails such as these so was just after a few pointers. I know my current camelbak isn't capable of carrying all the mentioned kit.

I was fookin joking about the bivvy! I ain't going anywhere where orange plastic may be required to save my life :)
however as for tyres I'm running on specialized captains. And to all the mockers, I've never cycled in a big group of all the gear no idea riders so I asked so as not feel left out ha ha ha :)

Sounds a good day out pook, i've only been back riding since november after a 15 year lay off and have been honing my skills or what's left of them on solo rides. Went outlast weekend for the first time with a mate and it was a right laugh. Good to just have the crack after the ride! Hope all goes well and I'll definately be on the next one. Cheers for the invite.
