If you're after something to actually navigate you, you will Need some kind of signal whether it be in the strongest form such as 3g or going lower into edge. Same as car sat nav it will need some signal to determine your location. This is (depending on where you are) where the Iphone can let you down. If you want true navigation out in the wilds then a dedicated outdoor gps system would fair much better.

Had same problem on 3's two week ago, it's the seals in the levers apparently. Got both replaced under warranty as it's not really a worthwhile fix according to the lbs. See my previous post re juicy 3's if you really want the full low down. Hope this helps, oh and the lack of replies may be due to your post title
    !! :)

Out of carsington into hopton, first left up "the dean" this will get your heart pumping , towards longcliffe. At crossroads turn right towards Middleton then left at the t.. Head all the way down past the rising sun pub. Over the crossroads towards bolehill, at the t turn left towards cromford. Fast fast downhill. As stated prior stop at greasy spoon then right at the lights onto a6 towards belper. In belper turn right towards wirksworth/Ashbourne. Carry on into
shottle, at lights turn right and head to wirksworth. Middle of wirksworth turn left up "west end" final death climb back towards hopton/ carsington! Lovely loop not an idea how far but picks up some great scenery and required stops at pubs shops etc :)

Even so, pretty good effort! However can't imagine running one marathon let alone 10 fookers in 11 days. Fair play to him!!

I'm sure I saw a 911 on here the other week with a coupla bikes lashed to it. Pull up in the car park at edale in that and take your Raleigh mustang off the roof!! ;)

Got quoted similar price so all seems good, bar the fact every single pound spent on riding related things is met with a stoney stare from the financial director (wife)! ;)
And one other thing are those alex rims not up to much then, I take it rhd doesn't stand for " rapid hill descent"

Alex rhd rims on a standard spesh xc comp, i do like to give it some hammer on the dh's but were not talking metre drop offs where I ride, quite rocky in areas tho!

CFH "It will be easier to load cars on to the roof"???!
I know it does " tricks" on the advert but didn't see the car stacking one! :)

Sisters got one, and brought her other half, his orange 5, baby and all the associated gear down for a weekend in derbyshire with ease. Vile colour but the bike rack (optional extra) was quality, kept the bike nice and safe whole way down the m1 and it looks a quality piece of kit! Don't have to remove it to get in the rear of the car either, if i remember right it just slides outa the way!! Also goes off and on very easy. Beats putting a shit up bike in the back of ya new motor! As for the car itself who cares, youre just after something to do the job. She did say the petrol engine was tail tho, so go for the diesel! And as it's jap it won't let you down!

Had the bike 4 months now, would my lbs still straighten them up for nothing? I'm not so sure?

I know this is a massively varied situation but again look at the durability of say a landrover wheel bearing, millions of rotations in all kinds of sh¥t muck water and salty british roads, last for years. And then not expensive to replace, ( pain in the arse to change granted) so it just goes back TJ's point of why do we put up with it?

    Oh and O5 excellent explanation!

Tj, that was my thought, why, and I'm yet to experience it do we put up with inferior products such as this. Obviously you get what you pay for in any aspect of machinery but it seems even some of the top end stuff is subject to the same failings!

Got the xc comp in nov, absolutely love it! Spesh's after sale service is also 2nd to none in my opinion. As previous post mentioned original shock can be dodgy, I complained about the movement of the lever on the x fusion whilst riding and it is apparently a well noted problem. They upgraded it to a fox triad at no cost which is far better and much nicer to ride with. Also had a recent problem with the juicy 3s which have again been fully changed for free to the 3.5s ( no real difference) but was nice to get new callipers and rotors thrown in, not just the one faulty lever!! All in all a great bike in my limited opinion!

Crell, priced out of the area I'm afraid, lived at Hopton hall then moved down into Wirksworth. I used to cycle along the trail back in the day to longcliffe then cut directly across the pastures, and down into carsington on what seemed the most severe gradient ever back in the day, especially on my old falcon ha ha. I even worked at the knock but had heard it'd turned into a dirt hole of late. So where you hail from, brassington is my guess. You never know I might even know you :)

"Sorry, I didn't realise that you were riding at an Elite level despite your indecision about clothing choices. I look forward to seeing you beast the field at the first round of the BMBS."

Dougal it was merely a simple question, but I don't like to be branded an "all the gear type" I have one bike and no bike specific clothing. If I only i was rich and could afford all the posh altura? gear.

I think it's a huge effort by 6 of the "celebreties," mainly because they've not all been arguing about staying on the bike all day, just in the hope of not having to listen to Fearne "amazing" Cotton witter the **** on!!!

Haven for the last 4 years then stumbled across a little hotel called splash landings. Yes it can be v expensive but if you get lucky as we have twice now, got a 2 nights stay with cracking breakfast, unlimited access to the water park for two days for £180!
However wouldn't recommend for more than a coupla nights unless you take in the theme park aswell.
Oh and I've never been do tired, not even after a full days riding!!
