    @Tracey, I’ve also had that letter today , got sent a copy as it had been sent to the office.
    40 quid off next service also. Something smells dodgy!

    Finally managed to speak to ford. All four injectors now changed.
    I should be happy yes , but I’m not, pissed me off as it’s been in so many times for this problem and Im almost certain its cost us in extra diesel consumption. Anybody know if I would have any grounds in pursuing them in that matter? Its been recorded on paper about my mpg concerns and I have video of the engine playing up most recently and it shows the mpg down at 26.
    I feel a bit sorry for the dealers as it would appear ford just wouldn’t fess up to the fact the injectors are failing in so many vehicles.

    Christmas bottles haven’t been as forthcoming as previous years but had probably 10 wine I think, a very very nice gin gift box from the guy we do all our work for which to be fair with a hand written note meant a lot, and randomly 30 quid of amazon vouchers.

    Had an 07 and a 12 plate transit. Definitely both had pads at some point. Never experienced the above problem.

    I never recieved the call today that I was promised. Unfortunately for them I’m very quiet at the moment so may pay them a visit. If my van is still parked in the same spot and as I left it then there might be a bit of fuss at the service desk.

    Stella was on 18 cans for 10 quid. There is no hope.

    God theres some miserable sods on here. Still love seeing the kids get some shiny surprises even though they’re 17 and 14. We do also do a 50 quid secret santa on christmas eve where I team up with the daughter and we buy for the wife and lad and they buy for us. Love shopping on christmas eve with them as its bus in to town, shopping, then a family death match at laser quest then a trip to the pub. Hopefully it will continue and Ill still keep doing whilst the kids want to.

    @transition1

    That is the same as mine, 18 plate dciv sport.
    18months old 14k.

    So far 2 oil changes due to oil dilution, 1 injector eventually deemed to be over fuelling on crank and ignition and causing the problem so 1 injector replaced, brake booster replaced (hill start thingy sticking on), clutch judder being looked at along with injectors on this visit. Fuel economy is an on going gripe as it’s been as low as 24mpg, definitely got worse the longer I’ve had it.

    Weve been involved in a lot of the purchases this year and the kids will be getting stuff they want. It’s not hard. The wife and I have also had stuff we would probably not have bought ourselves as we’re tight as **** when it comes to buying stuff for ourselves, so the presents off the parents such as some biking trousers for me will be really well recieved.

    Oh and to top it off, the courtesy van I’m using for the exact same type of journeys with the same kit in etc is returning 10 mpg more than mine was!

    @Tracey

    It’s a **** joke, ford have known about this problem for ages. I questioned a couple of months ago when they only changed just one injector on my van. At the time the service manager said his hands were tied because if the diagnostic computer didn’t pick up any fault they couldn’t change the others. Apparently now they are checking the batch numbers on the injectors and if they are deemed to be of the bad bunch they are being changed whether currently faulty or not.

    I’ve been “had” twice in 3 days catching my fingers/knuckles when reaching for other stuff on my steel plastering trowel. It’s been used for trowelling a lot of concrete of late so is literally razor sharp! It may got dispatched permanently this afternoon 😫

    Needed something out of my van today so nipped to the garage to fetch it. It’s not **** moved from where I left it. Not a happy bunny!

    What do folk think of the moby one? It’s on offer at crc at half price?

    Never dealt with customer care. I’ve always gone straight to the dealer I purchased it off. Service manager is a nice bloke, helpful and apologetic in the right measures and is also a mountain biker so that might help.

    But it was an 80k bracelet.

    I heard the same report and I’m not sure if theres a bit of a mix up as I heard “one bracelet alone was worth 80k” well ok yup I could believe that but theres a lot of 80ks in 50 million and it seemed as though they were referring to that as the most expensive piece? If thats the case the collection must have been huge.

    Rate your armoured accordingly is the first step. I came up under the floor in to my shed/summer house but I had a void as its mounted on an old deck area.
    Some on here will no doubt state you need to bury it 500mm blah blah. Personally it just needs buying enough to be protected, plus the very fact you know where it’s running. Avoid burying in areas likely to be dog over though, such as beds or veg patches etc.

    Was supposed to be seeing Max and Igor Cavalera do their Sepultura covers band

    Managed to briefly get on (hang off more like) the tour bus (back in 92 I think) outside rock city in notts. Now that’s nostalgia!

    Firstly why would you need to decommission? Power to a shed is always a bonus for any would be buyer. Take a spur or even joint out and remove the existing socket and get power to your shed. 10m is sold all, size accordingly and you’ll be running a heater and the mrs wilm be wondering why you’re spending so much time in the shed!

    Your tastes and priorities have merely shifted and yes maybe/probably for the better.
    However never ever regret what bands you listened to or watched when younger.

    Critical illness cover will be very expensive for an older person and if there are previous medical issues. There are so many omissions of whats considered critical as well.
    If its straight forward the meerkat is fine, if there are complications then talk to someone like neal.

    100 percent recommend the welsh enduro series
    ran by the guy who runs antur, and a really nice bloke too. They even do one at llandegella within the series so she may know the territory. Super friendly, very well organised and a good laugh. A mate and I have our lads riding in them and we are allowed to support ride as they are still young and we tend to have as much fun as them!! Heres a great link I use for all the races/events going on.

    That’s a decent price to be fair. Only thing I’d say is either have closes or door stays fitted as when the wind gets hold of them it can **** them up big time.

    I’ve got about 230k, over three policies. Two were taken out as mortgage cover so are reducing in payout with the mortgage term. I’ve recently taken out another 150k for 12 quid a month over 10 years but no reducing payout to make sure if I drop dead mrsws and the kids would be ok for uni and be able to live comfortably.

    Just woke up with a fuzzy head after a night with the heritage orchestra and pete tong.
    The opening track of fat boy slims right here right now played with a huge string section was just spine tingling old skool rush tastic.
    Great show, little bit flat in the middle but ramped up again towards the end.
    Beautiful homage paid to mr flint to close the show which took me by surprise but made for an awesome finish!
    Thanks 2019 the wrightys are done.

    @revs1972

    In the house i am refurbish, this has been previously done in the dining room, kitchen and part of the hallway. It looks like it has been done properly, I.e they removed the joists etc.

    It pretty much removes any risk of damp and kills all cold spots. Cases where external paving is breaching u/s of joists etc are very common in older properties. You could also equate a time versus cost exercise where getting a bit of type 1 in say 200mm in your case and a 100mm of jablite will reduce your 12m3 to say less than 5m3. But that means someone has got to barrow 10 tonne in.
    Not sure what the max depth of insulation such as cellotex you could go to prior to pouring a specific depth of concrete but so longs as your sub base was sound you could further reduce concrete quarts that way, cost would again be debatable as cellotex is nore **** expensive than ever since the glue factory burnt down.

    Genuine question. What do you see yourself doing as a sparky? Have you any idea who does what within the trade, processes involved etc. As above theres a vast difference between wiring a new plug for mrs Jones and being 12m up in a scissor fitting destrat fans.

    Watching with interest as I was genuinely going to ask the same question as I’d seen some heated gloves advertised on face ache yesterday.
    Mrs ws suffers very badly and it’s now causing other problems with her fingers swelling, on the hand she holds the dog lead with as its exposed more often. Been on medication for it but has now had a bollocking from the docs for not taking it regularly which has caused these further problems apparently.
