gonefishin, its a new position which has just been invented. The organogram should/could have been sent out just as it always had been.
I believe that the new bossman just wants to cut down on the amount of people that he has to talk to. It’s quite apparent that he is not very good at his job and the directors are noticing.
What is the point of having a manager with only one person to manage?

Come on, this is meant to be a cycling site, surely one of you has big legs and wears jeans?!

I have exactly the same problem and am a very similar size (14.3st, 32″ waist). I had previously had to buy 34″ and wear belts just to get the leg space.
Diesel used to make some that fitted nicely (snug) but dont make them anymore. I recently picked up a very nice pair of Boss jeans in the sale which fit me nicely and I have a pair of Lee jeans which are even better. Most “comfort” fits are too tight on the legs for me too. I can find out the names of them if it helps?

She is a H&S specialist (and a very qualified one!) and has already been offered a couple of jobs even without interviews as she has a good reputation. She will be taking one of these I expect. I’m pretty sure that her employers will be very sorry to see her go.
Point taken about the management skills though hels.

Thanks geoff. I see it the same way. I still think that the management are being dicks for encouraging her to go for the position knowing that it’s filled. She’ll be working elsewhere soon.

Yeah maybe. There’s a fair point to be made that the gold market was (at the time) looking stable. GB couldn’t have known that the prices would rocket in the following 10 years. Just a bit of a bastard to have “lost” all of that money/gold.

It’s far more like saying you sold your house in 2000 for £250k and in 2010 it would have been worth £1M.

The guardian seem to think it closer to £5Bn

Many others have stated it to be £6.6Bn

The 2011 5 spot angles are spot on unlike the 2010. The suspension takes some getting used to though (depends what you’re coming from I spose).
I’d wait for the user reviews and maybe demo the Yeti SB-66 before buying anything personally.

I found out an ex (living with at the time) was stealing money from me to finance a coke habit she had developed. She would nick my cash card and just help herself. She couldn’t hold down a job and contributed nothing to the household which grated as money was really tight at the time. When I’d had enough and finished it; I had to listen to her tell me what a arsehole I was for dumping her!
She got a spare key cut and started sneaking in the house and carried on stealing money! I don’t like to wish bad things on anyone but it’s pretty hard not to sometimes. No doubt she’s terrorizing some other poor bastard now.

I’m a whisker under 6ft and on a large. Short stem too and it feels perfect to me. I wouldn’t want a longer top tube.

Hi pastcaring, CCDB has crossed my mind but I’m hesitant to throw more money at the bike. It’s not a cheap build!
I’ve caught myself leering at other frames already which is a shame as I really want to love this bike.

It’s OK. I’ve started being more selective before choosing to buy it (thumbing through first). I really like blame the dog but not a big fan of Jenns articles.
I do find that the articles about rides don’t include much detail of what the ride/trails are actually like and more about the feelings/emotions of the rider which can be a bit frustrating. Probably a bit too much niche-ness in there too IMHO. Pretty good and easily one of the better mags overall.

lowey, I’m having a bit of a moment with my 2011 spot. Seriously considering selling the frame on. Can’t get the rp23 to feel right.

It depends what you want. A day out on the bike or to ride great trails.
While I see the attraction with boriselbrus’ day, you can quite happily do that on foot and get a very similar experience as in a day out on the hills.
The best trails I’ve ever ridden were in BC and were all manmade and had direction signs. I’ve not found trails that compare to that anywhere in the UK (so far). I do think that most trail centres could be more technically challenging but maybe that’s me just being selfish. I’d certainly like to see more black trails.

But the pinch bolts don’t “pinch” without the cap. Trust me

And you tighten this cap BEFORE you do the crank bolts up.

Yep. It doesn’t need to be done up tight. Do NOT ride without it as your NDS crank arm WILL fall off.

Actually the ipad2 is now jailbroken, so you can do whatever you want with it. XBMC is worth it alone.

He was spot on about the trail centre and skill compensator things though and we all know it. I bet a load of flat field riding dicks hated that.
Those who turned to road bikes were never mountain bikers anyway, just people trying different types of cycling. Nothing wrong with that, mud isn’t for everyone. It was well written and presented as an opinion and as we all know, none of ours match ( it would be very dull if they did).
In short, get your heads out of your **** arses, appreciate that we all have different views ( printed or not) and stop being so judgemental.
    Good article benji, well done.

Ch I’m quite comfortable with myself. So much so that I don’t feel the need to ridicule other people.
Light heart piss taking is cool, but the bloke was probably having a great time so why try to belittle him? There is plenty to take the piss out of without ruining your karma.

Funny, I had a couple of months off the bike due to injury. I didn’t notice any change in myself but everyone else did. I wondered why everyone was asking me what was wrong. I thought it was them!
The ability to ride has everything to do with personal circumstance; kids, sick relatives, job and also proximity to decent riding all effect the amount of time which people can put in. An hours blast from the front door is far easier to squeeze in than a 4 hour trip.
I do agree with many of his points though particularly the trail centres and the sneering at peoples “skill compensating” bikes.
