Bikesoup looked like it could be interesting until it just became another outlet (a la ebay) for retailers to ask silly money for new or demo bikes. Shame.

I know how you feel Dez. I was watching it in a pub in Worcester and remarked that CH is almost as bad as Andy Goode. I didn’t realise he plays for Worcester! Went down like a fart in a spacesuit.

Ah, this one is easy. Whenever anyone asks for kit recommendations just tell them to buy whatever it is you own. Or just answer “orange 5” to all questions.

The Trek EX series are very good bikes. Well priced too, worth a look (and I don’t even ride a Trek!)

I HATE hearing “can I get?” as in “can I get a coffee?”. GRRR

Yep. If you can’t do the time etc……
If they were protesting about something they believe in then probably not but plain old breaking and entering? Definately. If a parent has not been able to teach their kids morals then it’s only fair that the police be given a chance to.
Yoss, what if you believed your kid had killed or raped someone?

I’ve just gone from a mule to an osprey raptor 14. Considerably more space, miles better bladder and more comfy. Well thought out bit of kit. Cyclesurgery had them on sale at £50.99 recently, I got Evans to price match as my local store didn’t have any stock. My only moan is that the tube attaches the opposite side and as a result had a starring role in my go pro movie.

What a strange OP! “I’ve found out that some peoples views are to the right of mine and I don’t want no pint with them no more”
Coming from the person who claims to be tolerant!
This is da internetz innit, your gonna communicate with people who’s outlook is very different to yours. These peeps may find your onion equally distasteful.

Never had any problems with any hope kit I’ve owned; numerous BBs and headsets (on different bikes), m4s, tech m4s, the QRs dont feel as good as salsa or chromag but immeasurably better than the superstar one I had. Reasonably priced, easily maintainable quality kit IMO.
My formula brakes are lighter and more powerful, my mavic wheels have better engagement but both cost a lot more than the equivalent hope alternatives so they should feel a bit better. Neither are as serviceable though.

There’s a real tricky bit of rock at the start of the climachx descent. The ground below was a foot of mud so no alternative route. It’s totally off camber and sharp, not gnar but really quite tricky.

Tried a few, the blue groove/nec combo was OK but wore very quickly.
The RQs are doing a sterling job at present but I would like a bit more grip on the inner shoulder (before the main lugs on the shoulder).
I’m eagerly awaiting the schwalbe hans dampf, that looks a very good tyre.

I’ve had the talas forks, they were ok but IMO the travel adjust feature isn’t worth the extra over the floats. 110mm was too low over anything remotely techy as it dropped the bb too far resulting in pedal strikes. I’m much happier with the floats and have kept them at 160mm without detriment to climbing. In a nutshell, I’d recommend the floats in the 32 150mm or 36 160 flavour dependent on your riding. I wouldn’t buy talas again.

It is great that he engages with his customers directly and is (I think) a large contributing factor in why the kit is so popular.
Having said that (and I have no axe to grind with on-one, ragley or Brant); this

OK, there were some ‘issues’….but on a frame for £250 or so….FFS !?!

Is a daft comment. Regardless of cost items should be fit for purpose. You should be able to fit a headset and not have to refinish the frame within a few months of purchase or file bits down/off.

I’ll never laugh at anyone wearing armour regardless of the trail.
Protection is a personal thing and I have no idea about anyones circumstances (injured, self employed, risk averse etc etc)
It’s just none of my business. They’re enjoying themselves and that’s all that matters.

I’ve never been a fan of on one or ragley bikes but I am looking forward to seeing what Brant does with a predominantly FS orientated range of bikes. I hope to see new designs with a different slant and wish him all the luck in the world. Titus is a well respected brand so it could be very interesting. Just dont **** up the QC!!!!!

The Salsa is much better than the hope. The Chromag seat QR is better again. It’s only £15 more. Go on, your bike deserves it.

Quick and spectacular for me please.
If I end up a dribbling mess, I hope someone will put me in a plane and throw/wheel me out. If I still have my facilities I shall go quietly to a very secluded and quiet forest somewhere in the world and put a bullet through my head and hope that nobody ever finds me so that I can rest in nature.
