You can adjust the brain to respond how you like, but to be honest the factory settings are pretty good. Mine kicks in after a big hit or several medium hits. So if it see something coming up that i want the shock active for a quick bunny hop will open it up. Like wise on the medium hits, you’re generally on a downhill when this happens. It then returns to lock out pretty quickly.

Seems to me you’ve read a lot about it but not actually used one. Give it a go, its miles better than a lot of people say it is.

It makes much more of a difference than people will give you credit for.

Mines a 5 mile each way down the side of the canal. If you hammer it, it really does make you fitter.

I remember having to “tweak” my V brakes several times a ride before i got discs, bent rims, that gloopy mud even water degrades their performance.

I’m not going back to that, even if the power was the same they’re a chore.

If you are going to use them XTR are the only ones worth looking at.

Another V70 here. Not great on fuel in the city but excellent on the motorway.

I read the storm was flaky and is nowhere near as good as the iPhone its designed to compete with.

Ask about a deal on the Blackberry, play a bit of hardball and get a few £££ off the deal price.

Its not like you can’t get one from someone else!

Sounds pretty good, i pay £25 for that. Make sure you get unlimited internet.

I’ve got a Bold, had it about 6months and i’m impressed with it so far but if you read reviews the new Curve or the Niagra are the ones to go for. You can install a full Google suite, Maps etc, for free which will sync with Google calendar without any trouble. Blackberry app store is opening in a few months too, it’ll be like the Apple one but actually useful.

    Avoid the Storm, it’s awful.

I tried this for the first time this weekend. I thought the trail could have done with more substantial stone in it, the mud/ground is getting worn away quite badly in places but that’s hardly surprising considering how busy the place was.

I wasn’t really all that impressed until i hit that downhill on the North Loop. How good is that?!

Err stolen? or when you get there you’ll be greeted by 5 massive bastids asking for your cash.

Right i’ll get back to my Daily Mail.

Got a bit of sanction wear on my vanillas, i just ignore it. It’s like the dent in the down tube on my old 1999 Zaskar, i did it the week i got it and it’s still going strong just a bit of cosmetic damage is all.

It’s not like they’re going to explode.

Unless it’s enough to drip i wouldn’t worry, my last set were like that the whole time i had them.

I’ve got a W reg Volvo V70 2.4T , paid about £3500 for it and can put my Epic in sideways, wheels off and seat post still up without putting the seats down. I reckon i can get another 2 bikes on top of that too.

I’ve managed to get a 50″ TV in flat with the seats down and a 42″ TV in upright. It’ll swallow a harp no problem.

If you get a late model 850 or early model V70 they have a slightly bigger tailgate.

I thought about upgrading my 04 M4 with the fox shock for a M5 08 model with the spesh shock. After reading this I reckon i’ll just stick with what i’ve got for now.

Without trying to jinx myself i’ve never had any trouble out of it. (Look out for a post tomorrow about mine spontaneously combusting on the way to work.)

I’ll try and explain how this felt. Imagine being a twelve year old boy Richard. Now imagine it’s Christmas morning and you’re sat their with your final present to open. It’s a big one, and you know what it is. It’s that Goodmans stereo you picked out the catalogue and wrote to Santa about.

Only you open the present and it’s not in there. It’s your hamster Richard. It’s your hamster in the box and it’s not breathing.

    Love it

I used a very thin, wide blade jewellers screw driver to prise it off enough so i could get a larger blade in.

Patience is key on this one!

Reading those instructions, would you recommend the cutting a groove tip?

So would you say it’s worth bothering with Pace specific grease?

    Thanks for your help.

Wasn’t sure what to do with the dials on the pace. The 2 dial system on the vanilas was piss easy to set up. The pace are a bit of a headscratch.
