Worked in a Hotel in Bristol back in the early 90s as junior manager and got asked by the house keeping team to get in to a bedroom they couldn’t due to it being double locked (managers override). Gained access and found this guy flat out on the bed with vomit all over the place, checked his pulse and found nothing.Rang 999 that moment got asked to put him into the recovery position over the phone, it was quite obvious at that moment he was dead due to how stiff he was.
He had taken a huge amount of tablets and drink. Found the note on the bedside table to his Wife and 2 year old son I still think about the whole event now especially as I have kids of my own.

Dear all thanks for your support and offers of help with my situation on this but the phone calls in the middle of the night and emails to Mr Stott is not helping me or him sort this rather large problem out, if you could please stop it I would be grateful. Looking like it might be sorted will keep you posted.

“Can I just caution against the go all “bombers” on him approach” Agree bombers would only cause more problems and I have enough of those……

Well I am resigned to to the fact that the cash has gone as has the Defender. So I am determined to make sure he can’t con anyone else. I will call the police again in the morning but it got me absolutely nowhere last time,
I am not slighting him just stating the truth.

Ryan Stott has some neck, My understanding is that I am not the only one he has defrauded over at Bespoke Defenders & Land Rover Restorations the Sidings Bacup.

If you can get into the yard, it took some negotiation just to get him to stop talking to me trough the massive steel gates he has on the Sidings Industrial Estate.

Still wrangling he is talking now, just useless no cash flow says he will pay us back when he sell one and it’s slow at the moment. Solicitors now pursuing it so the ball is in his court mind we can just lose the whole lot if he folds the business before the court catches him up. I have written the cash off now and it’s going to take more than a few years to get back on an even keel. Not happy is an understatement.

Aquatic stuff was never my bag. We are getting half this this weekend and the remain balance next week apparently….
Payed the chap a vist with the wife and kids. Nothing like letting a 6 & 9 year old play in somebody’s stock. No swearing no threats just put my point across about theft and stuff + Enjoyed my 9 year old telling him to give us the money (very politely) Got an agreement to pay back it will be another vist if not, Suggesting that my wife goes down with a car load of her mates as he wont know how to deal with a pack of wailing wolfs. Will keep you all updated as it unfolds.

Still in a world of hurt, never managed to get to see him today due having to work. Visiting on Monday. Just going to do the Hilton Bard thing if I don’t have any success on Monday morning. I will be naming and shaming in a big social media way after. If anyone is buying a defender contact me directly and I will make sure you don’t fall into his hands.

If your wanting to know who it is and buying mail me and I will save you the pain that I am going through. The Defnder I returned is not up for sale on any site. I just don’t want to name and shame publicly yet as its this weekend the 14 day is up. Just had a mate phone him up and see what he had for sale and get a feel for whats happening. He has one going out this week so I am praying it’s going to work out. I am paying a visit on Friday solo unfortunately but a vist is needed.

Legal action starting on Sat as the consumer act of 2015 states that he has 14 days to pay us back. We reach that point on Saturday. What bugs me is that he has an industrial unit full of Defenders and hasn’t offered lend one until this is sorted. On the flip side Loyyds Land Rover Carlisle who we put down a deposit on another have been very good and have said don’t worry just keep us informed and we will just keep it until your ready. They are not all bars tools out in motor trade land.

Ok not a lot has happened since my last post but here it is.Letter sent recorded with advice from solicitors so he knows what are intentions are if he doesn’t pay us asap. Secondly he stopped the check to prevent us from presenting it again. Finally got a response via text after hassling him via facebook, twitter & instagram saying he will pay us back when he sells another Defender.
Morally I should name and shame to warn others away but if I do I wont get the money back due to nobody wanting to buy from him.
I really need that money back.
