Funny lived here since I was nine (28 years or so) , went through UK School Uni system, always worked. I’m Registered to vote etc, Wife is English so are Kids. But the more this goes on the more I’ve started to feel uncomfortable, lots of Anti Irish stuff being spouted now, Good old UKIP wishing Cromwell was still around as he knew how to deal with the Irish!!

I see it as just a symptom though the world seems to be going to shite at the moment!!

this seems to have descended into the what is, unfortunately quite a common occurrence on stw of giving a small UK frame company a beating by folks who really aren’t the target market,or who have any real interest in the product, but are happy to drop their crag hoppers trousers and smash one out furiously, whilst having a go at a stranger

They do get a fair amount of shit on line, unjustly so sometimes I think. It’s still a small and personal company ( as in they guys have a lot invested in it personally as well as financially, I like how accessible they are and that they’ll stand their ground if they think you’re calling it wrong. What the SBG adds in reach it takes away in stem length.
I’m 188cm tall and on the pre SBG XL Smuggler. So my bike has a 50mm stem with a reach of 487, the new SBG Bike has a 500mm reach but a 40mm stem so the bars are in about the same position. I went XL as I was above min seat post insertion on the L and the reach being longer was better for me.

They’re not light bikes but the abuse ( both intentional and unintentional) is amazing and it climbs better than I ever will.

I’m interested in the bonding but if it’s all cut from one block what’s to bond to what? The front triangle could be all one bit, same with the stays?

Id like a gear box belt drive, but concerns are weight, cost, shifter compatability ie it’s really only grip shift, which Im not keen on. Have scuppered that!!

There is a good interview with the Sick Bikes people on the Hook it pod cast now (on iTunes it’s the HKT podcast) . Well Worth a listen. I thought they both came across really well.

The back pain esp the lower back is from being hunched over the the hamstrings get tight and whammy! Longer bikes for me make a massive amount of difference and effectively stop this tightness and pain.
