Hi got a few build questions for those of you in the know,

Is anyone running SRAM shifters mech etc on the Geometron? I understand that Chris Porter prefers Shimano stuff as you can turn the mech off.

Also I’m sure I read somewhere that the bike was designed to run a 32 tooth front ring as a minimum? Is that right, or am I having a moment? Cheers!

Just seen the slight price rise in the frames. Fair enough as the prices have been static for a good while. On the other hand it’s a few more months saving added to the time line!

Still time to get fit and thin enough to really enjoy it I suppose!!

I’ve got a non SBG Smuggler and it’s a fantastic bike, climbs well (considering Im pedalling) and descends so well it’s crazy.

What Id day about sizing is what Transition have given in reach they’ve taken back in stem lengths it’s an average of 10mm reach but a shorter stem of 10mm over the non SBG bikes. They are longer as a brand than most other production bikes though. I’m 6’2 and have an XL with 483mm reach. That’s not as huge as it first was now though. Next Bike around Id prob try to go longer if possible but that’s just me.

Beautiful looking Bike and the reduction in price ( and hope activley reducing it for those who have already bought one ) is amazing I think.

I do wish it was a bit longer reach wise though, it’s a lot shorter than my current bike.

Agreed Drac, I can’t find it again on my phone!! It’s not in FB messenger, Instagram, Whats app… I just grabbed my phone and took the pic, somehow it’s on there and saved as the original!! Ah well!!

Not too important just a good one to show how the pup sizes up to the other dog!!

@CountZero agreed this is a case of pilot error!!!

Bear-necessities has done it above with the cat pic! If I could have the pup back in place of the cat that would be awesome please!!!

Only ever seen it on here ( see my brothers been caught speeding thread) and it’s never occoured to me that it was gender specific…..

I’m going to stick with “owned with a set of Bombers” as a glance back to the days of the yellow grey and burgundy forum of my salad days..

all humans have certain basic psychological needs. We need to feel we belong. We need to feel valued. We need to feel we’re good at something. We need to feel we have a secure future. And there is growing evidence that our culture isn’t meeting those psychological needs for many – perhaps most – people.

I think there’s an awful lot in this, but I don’t think it totally undermines the chemistry in the brain imbalance. If you’re run ragged, and flat out eventually you crash, how long and how bad that is varies, and I really think meds can and do help. But they need to be a part of a mixed approach, meds, councillor access, exercise, diet, being left the flip alone are all part of it. Currently NHS money is so tight we only get part of what’s required.

My wife has one, Diesel manual, with AWD. We live out in the sticks a bit so get lots of floods wind snow etc etc and she’s on call at night. Does about 40mpg which is a mix of country lanes, big hills Farm tracks A roads etc.

Really comfortable to drive, fast on the motorway, and has been no bother in the year and a bit we’ve had it.

I really enjoyed it. I like the jumbled time line as it added to the confusion of the situation the characters were in. It would have been good to see something of the rear guard, the gliding of the spitfire was a bit much at the end but overall I really enjoyed the film.

It’s a terrible terrible part of their job, I picked Mrs W up from work one Christmas morning after her shift, she’d had to tell a 2 yr old parents that she’d died just awful. :(

No idea how she does it, and it’s never taken into account t the toll that that side of medicine has in the staff, it just grinds them down eventually.

I guess all we can do is listen if they want to talk and suppy a cuddle and wine when they get home eh mate.
