I'm 6'2 and ride a 20"!!! As for up grades! I got the pro stuck 819 rims on it rlc32mm forks hope pro kit upped to m4's and the performance pack? carbon bar fizik saddle etc Just brilliant!!! So no complaints however the standard cassette is made of cheese (not even cheddar think warm bre!) and the race face BB are pants on my third on warrenty now!.

Amazing amazing bike just love it for all the trail centres etc the 32s are fine mate, I would set the bike for what you do ride year round not just 4-5 weekends a year if you get me? Finally I would test ride a 16 mate, my LBS an orange dealer could get any frame size in from orange the spec maybe different ie not a pro an S but it lets you get an idea of the frame you dont want any questions in your head. Afan bike shop has lots of demos too you could kill two birds with one stone test ride a 16 and try 32's at a trail centre!!! Wicked bike mate cant wait to see it!

I think its possible for sure, but your talking mega fit and skilled with a big hit of luck! As for me I'd reckon I'd do about 30 meters before getting off for an enjoyable walk to the top!!

I'm sure it been in one of the mags too and WMb springs to Mind like with the others on here.

Would be intresting to see how top level guys would do like Julian Absolom or Lance Armstrong? No issues with running out of gas with those chaps!!

HRM makes a huge difference to me mate, I use it when "training" on the meridas etc. lets me see ho |I'm doing as well as feeling, so I dont go out too fsat in the keep up with the nine stone chap in lycra on the 19lbs carbon HT!! NOt that I can

I have a Polar CS300 brilliant bit of kit it will also pair with a speed and cadence sensor as well. It fits on the bars on an adaptor and is a handy time telling device!!(ie its a wrist watch!!) Good post though its hard to find good info with out being over whlemed by techie info.

I also like the merida programme as a start point too. IT's just the time really two kids under two so not a lot of it but they are only small for a short time so I'll put my peak off!!!!!
